Hello, congratulations Smile I'm also 4 weeks pregnant, unexpected 3rd baby! There's nothing you have to do for the moment, depending on your area you just need to see gp/book in with hospital but that usually isn't very urgent anyway.

Lolliloo · 17/10/2020 18:35

@Garman thank you! Congratulations to you aswell Smile
Think I just need to let GP know but after that first appt is not for a couple of weeks? Feels very surreal

Thanks, it feels surreal to me too! But more a wtf are we doing having a third surreal Grin

ShinyBadger · 17/10/2020 20:12

Congratulations both of you - I am 4 weeks also - have a high BMI so have spoken to the Dr as wanted the high dose folic acid.
She asked if I wanted her to do my referral i said no and i will call back as want to get to 6 weeks. Had a previous miscarriage so if i can get to 6 weeks i may feel more positive as i have this feeling of dread that i will have another miscarriage.

Lolliloo · 17/10/2020 20:22

@ShinyBadger congratulations! Sending you my best wishes that you get past 6 weeks and can start to relax a little and enjoy your pregnancy.

I also have a high BMI and I worry about it

@Garman hahaha it must be the newborn cuddles!

@Lolliloo - I do too last time i had a miscarriage at 6 weeks so a very anxious time - I was doing a weight loss programme and then felt a little rough last week and for some reason i thought i would POAS.... and there it was!

I will take each week as it comes and see how i get on - feel sicker by the day and had awful period type cramping for the past 3 days.

Good luck to you too.

Hi! Can I join? I just got my BFP 3days ago, such a shock as I geared myself up for it taking a long time, and DP is away until tomorrow so haven't even told him yet!

I'm so anxious about it, bracing to see blood everytime I go to the loo, as all I hear is how common miscarriage is. So sorry to those of you who have been through that.

Anyway, will be good to have people to chat to here as I don't want to tell anyone other than DP in real life. Currently nursing a ginger beer for nausea and trying to enjoy strictly!

Garman · 17/10/2020 21:23

Congrats to everyone Smile Yeah I'm taking it one day at a time too, I had a chemical pregnancy before dc2 but I just knew this time would be different from that because I was riddled with symptoms before I got bfp! But am very aware things can change very quickly, so am waiting to get to 6 weeks to get a private scan and confirm heartbeat (and that there's definitely only one! Thanks dh for putting that in my head!) and will go to gp from there to get referred to the hospital.

Lolliloo · 17/10/2020 21:30

@ShinyBadger I’d got myself a PT and was doing really well then last week I had no energy to do my usual workouts...now I know why!

I’m having period pains at the minute and get scared everytime I go to the toilet incase I see blood

@adogisforlife91 how long were you trying for? I’ve been TTC since May but was still in such shock after seeing so many BFN I couldn’t quite believe I’d actually got a positive!

OP posts:
adogisforlife91 · 17/10/2020 21:44

@Lolliloo it was our first cycle! Honestly can't believe it. DP had a bike accident when he was a kid and (sorry if tmi) but his penis looks funny now because of it so I sort of convinced myself things might not be working properly in there. Silly me for doubting him Grin

Lolliloo · 17/10/2020 22:37

@adogisforlife91wow that was quick! Bet he is chuffed

Hi! Can I join as well. Also just found out I am pregnant and am 4 weeks today. With first baby. I’m panicking like what do I do next? There’s too much information! Have you guys got a prenatal vitamin? And there’s so much you can’t eat or drink 🙈

Garman · 18/10/2020 13:10

Hi @AnneZ31, congrats. There's really not a whole lot to do early on, take folic acid is all! And there's not that many limits on food and drink either really, other than alcohol and caffeine and a few food things like unpasteurised items, ones high in vit A, things not cooked through. The NHS has a list of items, but really it's not that limiting in reality.

AnneZ31 · 18/10/2020 15:59

@Garman thanks, that’s helpful. Found the NHS list. I will just follow that list then and if it’s not on the list I’ll assume it’s okay

Lolliloo · 18/10/2020 17:28

@AnneZ31 congratulations! Nice to know there is a few of us in the same boat Smile I’m full of all the same questions as you, hopefully we will know a little more soon x

I’m 5 weeks with an expected second, but it feels like my first as much son is 17 so have basically forgotten everything and never imagined this would happen!! ❤️

Narla2020 · 19/10/2020 10:12

Hi all! Jumping on this post as I have also just found out! I'm roughly 4 weeks on Wednesday with my first. Very anxious & impatient but I presume that's normal. Wishing you all well Smile

AnneZ31 · 19/10/2020 12:02

Haha @Namechangedforthisoct2 forgotten everything made me laugh! Everything has probably changed in the last 17 years as well. Don’t worry we will work it all out.

Yes... so glad we are all in the same boat 🥰

How are you all feeling? I’m really cold, have cramps and really sore boobs. But then I go for hours not feeling any of those things and I panic that I’ve miscarried AF will arrive. Super paranoid.

Have you bought anything? I will just get a vitamin and maybe some cream to start moisturising my skin to pre-empt stretch marks (which are probably inevitable nonetheless).

Are we all due end of June then?

Garman · 19/10/2020 12:28

Yes I'm June 20th/21st I think, if all goes to plan.

I feel good but just enough niggly things to keep worry at bay! I was nauseous this morning but not sure if it's Covid restriction panic or the bean that graduated from blastocyst to embryo yesterday, so my app tells me Grin

I just bought folic acid, other than digging out maternity jeans in a few weeks that'll be it for a long time. Was in them at 7 weeks last time because my hips changed really early.

Orlandoflorida1 · 19/10/2020 12:57

Hi everyone I think I’m 4 weeks 3 days today due around June 25th. This will be second baby but still so anxious like everyone else!

adogisforlife91 · 19/10/2020 16:01

Hi everyone!

@Orlandoflorida1 same as me, June 25th according to the online calculators

@Namechangedforthisoct2 i've been feeling nauseous on and off and just totally lost my appetite, which is weird for me. I dont even lose my appetite when I'm ill Grin
Been a bit crampy too. Like you said, I don't really mind these symptoms because at least i know im still pregnant! doesnt stop me from worrying everytime I wipe though...closely inspecting the tissue for any sign of blood!! luckily none so far

Namechange8471 · 19/10/2020 16:21

Hi op im also 4 weeks!

Been feeling very wet down below (TMI sorry!) and mild stomach aches. I had simialr with dd (12 years ago 😮).

Congrats by the way ❤️

Orlandoflorida1 · 19/10/2020 17:25

@adogisforlife91 I had those symptoms but not until around 6 weeks with my first child!

AnneZ31 · 19/10/2020 18:18

Now I’m panicking. I did another test and it was fainter than the one I did on Saturday😖

Hope I’m being unreasonable
