Thanks for the link DublinDolly! Unfortunately I can’t make 1pm Sad but would have loved to dial in! Do let me know when the next one is!

Has anyone else planned their midwife visit yet? I’ve been offered in person or over the phone, does anyone know if it makes a big difference? Any preference?

VirgoMum95 · 01/11/2020 12:58

I've just found out this weekend at about 5 weeks and I'm over the moon Grin.

Sunbird24 · 01/11/2020 15:24

@Rachetine mine is a telephone appt on 19 Nov, at 8 weeks

Congrats @VirgoMum95!

reservoircats · 01/11/2020 19:44

@Sunbird24 did they give you a letter about this or was it a phone call?

Sunbird24 · 01/11/2020 20:04

@reservoircats I called my local birth centre, and had a quick chat with one of the nurses there who asked some questions then made me an appointment for a midwife to call me in a couple of weeks. Assuming I’ll get a letter to confirm at some point!

Sunbird24 · 01/11/2020 20:21

Anyone else got a kind of ‘Schrodinger’s baby’ feeling going on? Like you’re definitely pregnant but also might not be pregnant at the same time?

I guess it’ll all feel more real after a scan...

Bellabubble · 01/11/2020 21:13

@Sunbird24 me - I was literally thinking this the other day! I think having mmc doesn’t help calm any nerves! I have a scan next sat - it can’t come soon enough! Have you had your early scan yet?

Sunbird24 · 01/11/2020 21:21

@Bellabubble, not til 18 Nov, but I did do another Cb digital today to make sure it said more weeks than it did a week ago! I may have gone slightly loopy...

Bellabubble · 01/11/2020 21:25

@Sunbird24 I did the same - but it freaked me out as I was epexcting 3+ weeks (I was 5+4) and it said 2-3. I know it isn’t much in the grand scheme of things - and maybe it’s to do more with implantation (am I right in thinking hcg rises after implantation?) but it was the reminder I needed to step away from poas lol!

Sunbird24 · 01/11/2020 21:41

@Bellabubble that’s exactly what I got today - I’m 5+4! But it said 1-2 last week, so I’m happy enough. Think the number of weeks indicated doesn’t include the 2 before conception

Bellabubble · 01/11/2020 21:56

@Sunbird24 oh wow - maybe I was being too anxious!!

Lollipop87 · 03/11/2020 11:34

@Lauloo123 congrats! I got my BFP using the same as you (FRER and CB digital) at 9DPO, I think it’s rare to get them that early but our little beans must have implanted quite early 😊

@reservoircats I self-referred online on the Friday and the midwife called me the following Tuesday if that helps.

@VirgoMum95 congrats!!

@Sunbird24 yes definitely, I’ve been really tempted to use another CB digital (got one left in the cupboard) but I’ve heard the weeks indicator isn’t always reliable so I didn’t wanna run the risk of freaking myself out! @Bellabubble yep the CB digital weeks is the number of weeks since conception (not including the 2-ish weeks since last period) so will be different no. of weeks to what the midwife and everywhere else would count it as.

Just to let any new posters know that if you’d like to join the July 2021 babies Facebook group (don’t worry it’s private and hidden) then just pm me your email address and I’ll add you 😊 There are quite a few of us on there already xx

Bellabubble · 03/11/2020 17:52

@Lollipop87 Yeh - was 5+4, (3+4 sonce ovulation day) so the indicator should have been saying 3+ but I got freaked as it only said 2-3. It’s not a huge difference but as I had a mmc before I decided to not do anymore again - and booked an early scan instead lol! Got it on Saturday - counting the days!

Hopefulmummie · 03/11/2020 18:45

Hi everyone.
Congratulations on BFP

I had an ectopic pregnancy back in June at 7 weeks which was devastating. Me and my partner have been TTC again since late August and have had 2 BFN since.

My AF due tomorrow but I've felt strange all week and been having sharp cramps for few days which have been different to period cramps. Decided to do a test today and got a BFP :)
I obviously don't want to get excited cause of what happened last time. I am going to do a self referral tomorrow as I know they scan you from 6 weeks if you have a previous ectopic pregnancy.
Fingers crossed everything goes ok

Lollipop87 · 03/11/2020 23:06

@Hopefulmummie so sorry to hear about your ectopic, crossing my fingers for you that all is well with this one 😊 xx

Bdbel · 03/11/2020 23:59

Since the last time I was on I’ve bout that book... ‘expecting better’ thanks for the recommendation.

I’m also over anxious, 5 weeks plus 4 and I’m not getting many symptoms... well cramping and pulling yes but not so much nausea. I guess I shouldn’t be complaining!! But I’ve booked a 7 week scan... anyone any experience on whether that’s too soon??

radamsonx · 04/11/2020 02:57

Hey ladies, hope you don't mind me jumping in on this! I've just found out im expecting my 1st aswell after a horrible 5/6 years with pcos and being told I'd really struggle to have kids. From my calculations I think im 7 weeks 2 days. Im terrified, it feels so surreal so definitely feeling like im needing some mutual support ladies to chat with! X

Ncshaw199 · 04/11/2020 14:16

Hope you don’t mind me jumping in too. Congratulations to everyone on the BFPs.

I tested Sunday and got my BFP. Had a mc at 7 weeks back in April so just after we went into lockdown the first time so I’m super anxious this time round & hoping it is going to stick.

I’ve self referred already as the lovey nurse who saw me said if you mention any previous history they will organise and early test.

If we get to week 7 and I haven’t heard from them I’m going to book a private scan as I want my partner to be involved and I know some hospitals don’t let you have them in on the scan & as it’s our first I don’t want him to miss out.

Lauloo123 · 05/11/2020 11:11

@Lolliloo Thankyou for replying I hope you are well and congratulations too 🥰🌈🤰
I did a clear blue with the weeks indicator and it’s saying 2-3 which obviously means I’m 4-5 but I’m not due AF untill tommrow and tracked ovulation too in October which said I ovulated on the 20-21st I’m very confused 🤷‍♀️ anyway booked in to see a midwife on the 25th November I just hope everything goes straight forward has a chemical in may so I’m so scared something bad is going to happen again 🤦‍♀️ Hope everyone else is doing well and baby dust to you all 🥰🥰🥰

Lauloo123 · 05/11/2020 11:11

This is the digital 🤷‍♀️🤷‍♀️🤷‍♀️

4 weeks pregnant - 1st pregnancy
Flowerbudd · 05/11/2020 11:43

@Lauloo123 Congrats Smile I thought Id just add my clear blue experience as i found it confusing as well.

I got 2-3 on the day my period was due and i was 4 weeks pregnant and then i got the 3+ a week later on the Friday when i was 5+1 but it varies so so much so really don't try and think too much into it 🙂 xx

Hopefulmummie · 05/11/2020 14:42

Hope everyone doing ok today.
I had a call from the midwife earlier just checking about the dates I've put on my self referral form as she thought it was too early for me to have a missed period.
Not sure why as AF was due yesterday.

She said my 12 week scan will more than likely be after Christmas so thinking I will definitely book a private one

Hopefulmummie · 05/11/2020 19:23

Does anyone know much about clear blue digital weeks tests? According to my lmp I should be 4+1 so I done a clear blue digital today and it showed pregnant 2-3 weeks when it should've only shown 1-2? I'm confused

Flowerbudd · 05/11/2020 19:37

@Hopefulmummie Hey :) i got 2-3 when i was 4 weeks pregnant and 1-2 weeks when I was 3+4 so yours sound fine. Everyone is so different though and a lot of people don't agree with them but i found them ok xx

Flowerbudd · 05/11/2020 19:38

Remember the tests don't count for the 2 weeks before ovulation (if you have a nice 28 day cycle that is)
