@Garman Aw thats good you're ok, well done on keeping up the exercise. Im looking forward to getting back to a routine :)

@Dublindolly Im so glad telling your parents went so well, thats a lovely response 💕 aww that will be so cool if they're right about the boy.
I can't wait to tell my Mum and Dad, my Mum knows how much Ive wanted a family with my OH, but the timing was never right, but we finally moved into our own house after years of renting so I know they're almost waiting for it. Will tell them after my 9 week scan (no idea how i'll wait that long)

I haven't thought much, probably all natural but of course happy with a c-section if thats what needed on the day.

Garman · 23/10/2020 19:38

I'm aiming for a vba2c, I didn't want either section previously so would prefer to avoid it, the 4 weeks of no driving, the pain and having to do less than I'll need to for ages and weeks of injections that follow it! But at the same time if I medically have to have a section I know I can do it, it's the weeks after it that are a pain.

@Flowerbudd do you plan on running again? I’m really missing it but scared about the impact

Flowerbudd · 24/10/2020 08:15

@AnneZ31 I really really want to but Im worried something will happen with all the movement and impact. I've looked into it and theres not really much evidence to say avoid apart from it may become uncomfortable.
I think Ill start with walks/low impact HIIT sessions when I feel more confident.
It's not even about staying in shape, for me running is 'my thing' and it just helps me de-stres and feel good.

I think even if I ran now Id just feel breathless and anxious.

Garman · 24/10/2020 08:28

The movement and impact won't do anything, but if you want to avoid the breathlessness that's understandable.

Flowerbudd · 24/10/2020 08:44

@Garman It's all in my head 🙈 it's nice to know that it is ok to try though, i think Ill definitely try again in a few weeks :)

Rachetine · 24/10/2020 08:45

@Catladyy it’s ‘What to expect when you’re excepting’, a bit of a classic! I’m reading it this weekend so I’ll let you know!

@angc30 oh no! What negatives were you reading on the other thread?

@Flowerbudd I’ve not noticed any breathlessness at all, still been running 5k every day. A friend was still running up to 8 months, she bought a bump bra thing which was made to support running in pregnancy. There’s apparently no reason to avoid it unless it’s causing discomfort.

@Dublindolly defo hoping for a natural here, I get a bit squeamy about surgery and being cut into. Tbh the whole birth thing is making me a bit 😬 so just trying not to think about it in general!

Can’t wait to find out what I’m having so I can start planning. Does anyone have any preference? I’d love a boy myself, although everyone says as soon as you find out you can’t imagine having anything other than what you’re having!

Garman · 24/10/2020 10:05

We already have 2 boys, I would've always thought I wanted girls and was really shocked when my first was a boy! But now I'm assuming/expecting it to be another boy and that's absolutely fine with me, now I can't imagine having a girl!

AnneZ31 · 24/10/2020 14:31

@Rachetine I hope I have a girl. But my boyfriend is desperate for a boy so we are in a bit of a catch 22 situation

@Flowerbudd I’m completely with you! I’m desperate to do some sort of exercise but Have an irrational fear of dislodging the baby from the lining of the uterus

I’ve just done this workout. Was quite good

Sunbird24 · 24/10/2020 15:53

I don’t have any preference personally. My mum had a dream a few months ago that I had a girl, while my best friend was convinced I’m going to have a boy.

Dublindolly · 24/10/2020 18:16

Do you know I was so convinced c section was the only way for me but now I’m actually a little more open to natural. I think I’ll trust the doctors opinions and go with their assessments.

I am kinda convinced it’s a boy but I’d be just as happy with a girl. I can’t wait to see their little face and see what features they take from either of us. @AnneZ31 I think they are just thinking of playing sport and showing their boy skills to them. But realistically girls always end up as daddy favourites

You all are so good with the exercise. I was doing Zumba zoom class but I just think I’m gonna stick to walking instead now. I’ve a nice walk beside the sea so can do a 3-5k loop pretty easy. Had a nap today so definitely feeling a bit more tired than normal!

Ladies im being so paranoid. This is definately positive right?

And this

4 weeks pregnant - 1st pregnancy
Dublindolly · 24/10/2020 19:41

@Iloveoreos first one does look positive. Are you a few days before your periods due. Try a second in a day or two and it might get stronger.

Lolliloo · 24/10/2020 19:43

@Iloveoreos yes, they are both positive x

@dublindolly @Lolliloo these are from 12dpo. Just getting paranoid as it was not too dark. I think im being silly and stressing out

angc30 · 24/10/2020 20:15

@Iloveoreos mine looked similar during the week and I worked myself up so much that I felt like I NEEDED to get a digital one 🙈 The digital one was positive and helped me feel better, maybe it might make you feel better?

angc30 · 24/10/2020 20:19

Really silly old wives tale!! But does anyone else have cats? A friend told me her cat was obsessed with her when she found out she was pregnant.

My cat normally hates me but now he's cuddled next to me for the next time since he was a kitten

Ive heard this before. Havent got a cat but read it on a few other posts. Apparently cats can sense it.
Iloveoreos · 24/10/2020 20:50

@angc30 btw what day did u try the digital one.

Garman · 24/10/2020 21:40

My cats never bothered with me during pregnancy, or in general to be fair! Grin

Bdbel · 24/10/2020 22:22

Can I please join too? I’m 4 weeks and due 1st July. So anxious, lots of cramping and I had pink spotting today. I’m hoping this is normal ... want to be excited but scared to relax in case

Sunbird24 · 24/10/2020 22:49

I think some posters were talking about hot water bottles earlier - after spending an entire weekend wrapped round my mum’s electric heat pad after I had my eggs collected I’ve bought an electric cushion of my own. I’ll never use a HWB again! It’s got 3 temperature settings, and stays at a constant heat until it switches itself off, plus it’s properly squishy and lovely to cuddle.
