How is everyone else today?

I've my scan this morning - Eeek! Can't wait to see this little warrior again Then I have a call with my consultant.

Ooh that is exciting @Frazzlerock!! Isn't it lovely that you can go enjoy this one without the anxiety as you can feel those kicks now? I am looking forward to mine but it is at almost 33 weeks so a few weeks away and seeing consultant after. Hoping they will look to book me in for my section though I think I have a scan after that? The control freak in me wants to know a date especially to decide if going to finish up work a bit earlier or not. I have started mat leave a week before due date but am expecting a section that week so once know date may take some time for me for a few days.

In other news the nursery is now painted. DP did a lovely job. He did the idea of rolling hills, green sky and mountains. It is actually really sweet. We have decals of trees and woodland creatures so I have now gone nuts with the woodland theme buying things to match it. Lol.

Will post a pic once it is finished.

Tbh I am impressed. Dd's Dad had the same idea but in the end couldn't be arsed and just painted it a neutral colour so I was expecting him not to follow through either, but he is really proud of it bless him.

I'm here! Not much to report except increasing paranoia about the birth and seriously considering asking for a c section.

Oooh @Sheera1 I'm looking forward to seeing the nursery pics! Well done DP! Ours really needs sorting out and I'm tempted to have a go this weekend while DP is camping with his friends but there's lots of heavy stuff in there so not much I can actually do...

I'm just home from my scan and consultant appointment.
Baby fine except an extra heartbeat was picked up, they called it an ectopic heartbeat. Structurally the heart is absolutely fine an the two sonographers and consultant as well as another consultant he spoke to all seem to be totally cool with it and have said there's nothing to worry about. Midwife will just need to keep an eye on it so I might have to see her more regularly.

C-section to be booked when I come in for my next scan at 34/35 weeks. Yikes!

Oh and baby on 50th centile for size/weight and weighing in at 2lb 15oz

@AntiHop oh that is such lovely news. Welcome back and congratulations. We are here for you throughout as most of us have been there and have found ourselves anxious at stages along the way due to previous losses. So pleased for you. Here is your space to share. Xx

How are those of us around 30 weeks feeling? I feel like my bump had a massive growth spurt or something recently and starting to struggle a little. I am also fighting off this cold thing everyone had last week so prob not helping and I also keep eating too big a dinner and then feeling ridiculously full all through the night. I can't easily turn over in bed now, so think I am waking up as need to turn and it is an effort lol!

I definitely can't stand for too long as seem to get a numb leg. Must be pinching a nerve or something.

Also feeling very nauseous again, but that could be due to organs being squashed. Thinking of you @onlyreadingneverposting8 when feeling like that and I totally sympathise.

I had a crazy dream last night where I went in for an assessment and they booked menin then and there for a c section at 30 weeks! My initial thought was thank goodness and then my brain realised how awful that would be this early and turned to a stress dream.

Hi all, and sorry for going AWOL got so long. DD has somewhat taken over our lives (funny that- babies have a reputation as being so easy 😂) and I have yet to develop the fundamental life skill of one handed typing while baby-wrangling..

Oh @AntiHop I'm so sorry to hear of your loss. They will never be replaced, but I am so please you're pregnant again and you had a nice short wait for it to happen again. I hope all is well for this little one!! Congratulations! and welcome back

@Sheera1 Yup, I'm getting huge and also very uncomfortable turning over in the night, it's like moving a truck! Then I have to move back again. Dreams are bonkers too but not had one in a few days.

Hmmm so after a panic in the night I texted dp to confirm he submitted the matb1 form to his work by the 25th week like I repeatedly told him to and guess what???

He didn't bloody send it! Honestly! What is wrong with men?

They sit there and you ask them to do something and they say "I'll do it later". I am like, "you are just looking at shit on your phone. All you need to do is email from your phone attaching the picture of the form I just sent you. You can do it right now and you won't forget"

"I won't forget". 6 weeks later and still hasn't sent it. Anyone else have a partner like this? 🙈😊

So what happens if they don't hand it in on time? They still get pat leave, right?

No bloody clue. His work are total aresholes too and a small company run by a bully so if he hasn't done it right they will take delight in screwing him over.

He legally has to get paternity leave but he should get 90% pay as worked there for years, but if he didn't hand the bloody fom in he may only get statutory which is f all.

Bloody men. Why is it even up to me to tell him what he needs to do to sort his work. It is his paternity pay! Grrrr rant over.

I can understand the frustration, my ex needed a LOT of looking after!

Hi ladies. I'm new here. I'm 42 with two DC 8 and 12. I think I'm only 3-4 weeks pg so would be due on the 25th May.

I had a miscarriage last September so don't feel we're having a baby right now. I feel pregnant but won't let myself believe there's going to have a baby until we're a bit further along.

Can't wait to get to know you all and share tips on being an older new mum x
