Oh we are so close together. I was due 21st but section on Monday 16th. Chomping at the bit now!

Sealegreen · 18/10/2020 08:50

Hi Ladies I'm 43, due 1st April with DC2 my first is 19 1st Nov so I class myself as a FTM 🙈 I would love to join the FB group to share our journey ❤️

NaomiB79 · 18/10/2020 14:45

@Sealegreen welcome to the group and congratulations on your pregnancy!

footprintsintheslow · 18/10/2020 18:19

@Sealegreen it is like being a first time mum again isn't it! So many rules have changed since my first. Welcome along.

Sheera1 · 18/10/2020 20:41

Hi all.

So 35 weeks with 2nd baby but 10 yrs between them and DS was an induction 2 weeks late that failed. I never felt as much as a twinge until the drip.

This time I am older obviously but baby feels very heavy and I have lots of low down pressure, movements and sort of a continuous cramp like feeling. Def not contractions that come and go. Some tightening feeling with no pain which is probably Braxton Hicks.

Is anyone else at any stage and getting this or know if it is normal?

I was feeling a bit dizzy and lightheaded earlier and when carpet shopping I had like a hot flush almost and had to leave the shop (prob not helped by mask).

Normal stuff? This pregnancy has been very different. Is it just the baby doing big massive stretches that are uncomfortable and borderline on painful?

Sheera1 · 18/10/2020 20:43

Just to add it is continual constant pressure with some even bigger tightenings. Been going on since this afternoon. X

NaomiB79 · 18/10/2020 21:31

@Sheera1 Being a ftm I can't offers view on whether these might be signs of labour or not. I'd phone triage if you are worried and check it out with them x

Sheera1 · 18/10/2020 21:34

Ta Naomi. I think I will tomorrow if it continues. Too complicated with Ds and DP to go in just now. No doubt they won't be interested lol.

Sheera1 · 19/10/2020 19:57

I called in today as was very dizzy and vision a bit blurry and thought I was going to faint. Cramps have stopped though.

All seems to be fine. They monitored me and did a good check up and all seems to be fine. Can't really explain the dizziness. But blood pressure fine etc.

The doctor who did my check up was crazy hot!! It was very distracting. Lol. Found myself going all girly and gooey and when he was checking my ankles for swelling zi was really glad I had shaved my legs 😂🙈.

Honestly, he was beautiful. Young and tanned and amazing green eyes and short browny-blonde hair and gorgeous arms. Lol.

Just thought I would say hi, I’m 43 and just found out I’m due in May with baby no5. Not planned and mixed feelings for both me and DH as we had settled on just having 1 of our own who is now 4, as we both have 3 each from previous relationships albeit mostly grown up now. Anyone else on here who is in similar circumstances?

Dipsy77 · 13/11/2020 07:53

@Baby5Child8 welcome, I'm 43 and due twins end of February. I have a 14 month old dd and a 23 and 21 year old both girls. There is a Facebook group if you request to be added I'm sure someone will send you the link x

Frazzlerock · 18/11/2020 14:19

Hey all,

Sorry I've been totally MIA.

Baby boy Frazzle was born on 17th Oct, 6 weeks early, weighing a healthy 5lb 8. My waters broke at 33+3 and they kept me in for 24 hours so I could be monitored and given antibiotics and steroids. Then, at 34+2 contractions started which I didn't think much of and nearly didn't bother calling the hospital, but DP thought it might be a good idea 😂 Then they got worse and worse. By the time we reached the hospital, I was in agony and shivering uncontrollably all over. They discovered my temp had shot right up and baby was in distress so they performed a crash c-section (bye lovely calm planned c-section, bye...) and little Seth Rowan came into our lives screaming like a good'un.

No SCBU and he's been doing brilliantly ever since!

Suffice to say, he's well and truly earnt his 'Warrior' title after 4 MCs, a subchorionic haematoma, an ectopic heartbeat and a dramatic entrance into the world. We're just hoping the drama ends from here 😂

Welcome to all the newbies 🙌

@Frazzlerock congratulations sounds stressful but bet your glad he's here now 🥰

Ethellsmum · 20/11/2020 19:55

Welcome @Baby5Child8 - my number 5 was a shock but she’s 18 weeks old now and I feel truly blessed - she’s the best. The kids all adore her too.

cakecakecheese · 20/11/2020 21:34

Hello!
I've just turned 40 and my first baby, conceived through IVF, is due 12th July.

GanderousGoose · 21/11/2020 14:17

Hi! I'm 40, DC2 due 14 June, currently 10+5. First scan date is 1 Dec, very nervous and anxious about MMC, especially as am overweight. Struggling with excessive fatigue as well. Would be great to join this thread!
