Is anyone on this thread in Scotland? We don't seem to be able to do booking appointments over the phone here which seems crazy tbh.

ParisInTheSpringtime · 30/03/2020 15:11

Just checking in.

NS34 · 30/03/2020 15:14

Hi @somegoodnewsforonce I am in Scotland too and got a call this morning with the details of my booking in apt, its next Tuesday and I am too go in for it, I was surprised as i expected it to be a telephone apt.

Pink15 · 30/03/2020 15:17

👋🏼

overandoverafail · 30/03/2020 15:17

UK here have booking appointment on 2nd April and says it will be a telephone appointment rather than face to face.

mrs2468 · 30/03/2020 15:19

Scotland here booking appointment next week haven’t heard not face to face. Not sure how they can take bloods etc without face to face? What are they doing elsewhere?

bluebell94 · 30/03/2020 15:25

I had mine last week. I went and got bloods, BP, height & weight done so only there about 15 mins then phone call next day to go through everything else x

bluebell94 · 30/03/2020 15:26

(In England btw)

NoseringGirl · 30/03/2020 15:35

I just got my booking in appointment today, it's on 15th April when I'll be 9 weeks and will be over the phone. I will then have to go separately to get bloods taken. I'm not sure where yet but I'm really hoping it's not the blood test clinic at the hospital as that feels like it would defeat the point!

HarrietM87 · 30/03/2020 15:40

Just checking in on new thread. I’m 7+5 today. Haven’t had any food aversions yet, just nausea and hunger! I’ve been really craving chicken which is weird - would love a disgusting chicken burger and chips but would struggle to get one in lockdown anyway and also trying to eat healthily!

Hancock2020 · 30/03/2020 15:48

I've had my bloods etc, just now waiting to hear when I'll speak to midwife 🤷‍♀️

mrsAndeke · 30/03/2020 16:01

Just noting for the new thread, have to say I'm a either completely exhausted or nauseated at the moment!

MoreGinPlease2020 · 30/03/2020 16:04

Checking in, thanks @Sakura54

MoreGinPlease2020 · 30/03/2020 16:05

My booking in is tonight and being done by phone. I'll apparently need to make an appointment to go in for bloods.

Natopp · 30/03/2020 16:07

I have my booking in appt on Friday when I'll be 8+1. I just rang the GP and it is still on. Apparently it is down to the individual midwife, they are handling their own appointments and will be in touch if they need to cancel or do it via phone. I'm in Kent if that helps anyone else x

Pinktruffle · 30/03/2020 16:10

I have a viability scan with my IVF clinic on 13th April and if that goes well, they will refer me to a midwife (I think). No idea if that will happen over the phone or in person but i guess I'll have to wait and see. Fingerscrossed for my scan first

Wise0wl · 30/03/2020 16:12

Checking in - thanks for setting this up @Sakura54

SMcG1 · 30/03/2020 16:21

@somegoodnewsforonce I’m in Scotland too and my booking appointment is supposed to be Friday. I haven’t heard anything about it being changed so I’m assuming I’ve still to go in for it.

Hancock2020 · 30/03/2020 17:11

Omg, not pregnancy related or maybe it's just me being hormonal. My DH has just asked me how to cook a pizza! 🙄😤

Pink15 · 30/03/2020 17:12

@Hancock2020 😂😂😂😂 he has a steeeeep learning curve coming up for this trimester

2019Mama · 30/03/2020 17:16

Just checking in... I’m 5+1 I think... rang up the doctors today to register with midwife and was told they’d send me a booking form out which I’d then have to post back to them and will then hear from a midwife.
Also been feeling nauseous the last couple days and Omd so tired 😫😫

Charlottethevet · 30/03/2020 17:27

at 8+3 today - the nausea is not pleasant at the moment... was just really kicking in at 5pm onwards, but today I've had very little let up at all!
Living off chips and salt, farleys rusks, orange ice lollies and rice with cheese, hummus and spinach... wierd!

Booking in appointment face to face on wednesday

Hancock2020 · 30/03/2020 17:36

@Pink15 hes had a child before (not with me) he should know!
I asked him to cook because neither he or my mother have bothered to offer to cook for the past 2 weeks leaving it down to me. And the best he can do is pizza and chips and still doesnt know how to cook it!
Guess I'll be back on food duty as of tomorrow. Am I just being mardy?

LozEliza · 30/03/2020 17:41

Just joining back in - felt better today had more work to do so took my mind off it - haven't even napped!

Still feeling ill when hungry and when I do eat I have to eat so slowly it really takes it out of me. Struggling with what to have now as every time I eat something it puts me off it so I'm running out of something to have 😣

FilthyforFirth · 30/03/2020 17:42

I'm 5+4 and spoke to midwife today. Booking in appt in 2 weeks time, the bulk of it will be done over the phone and then I have to head in for urine and bloods straight after. I have my viability scan the day before.

Pretty nauseous here but I had quite bad HG with my last pregnancy so waiting for that to kick in. Apart from that knackered, seriously so tired!
