Another new thread for the Nov mums to continue our discussion!

OP posts:
Are your children’s vaccines up to date?

My son is almost 2 and I don’t think I’ll tell him until like a month or 2 before the birth - he has no concept of time so it will seem impossibly far away to him otherwise!

Hancock2020 · 31/03/2020 10:36

Well I was going to book an 8 week scan but the cost has just doubled so I'll have to wait for nhs scan 🥺

ParisInTheSpringtime · 31/03/2020 10:37

Has anyone found a good bra size calculator online? I really need a bigger bra but when I entered my measurements in M&S the size was so far from what I normally wear I think it’s wrong.

Hey just joining Smile

@Ranoutofgoodnames the Pregnancy+ app has been fab so far. I'm 7+5 and I've used it every day so far. It's just nice to read the info and look at pictures. I used Flo to track my cycles and for getting pregnant, and will keep this on my phone for the future, but haven't found it that useful for being pregnant. x

FireflyGirl · 31/03/2020 10:59

@Fouryearslater DS is 5. We're planning to tell him after the 20 week scan. He's an impatient little bugger, so it'll save me 8 weeks of him asking if it's time yet Grin

@Addler mine is the right nipple, but yes, incredibly itchy!

Last night for tea, I had plain pasta. DH had to cook, while I shut myself away where I couldn't smell it. I can't wait for this stage to be over...

ACatCalledLola · 31/03/2020 11:16

@Fouryearslater mine are 5 and 3 and I’ll probably tell them sometime after the 12 week scan. I might leave it until after the 20 week one if they don’t guess though.
I had ready made cheesy mash for dinner last night. It was amazing. I can’t face anything after I’ve cooked it so instant meals are the way forward!

Lozzyloo86 · 31/03/2020 11:22

Heyyy, just joining new thread. Love reading what you lot are saying. Symptoms etc. Keeping me sane in this lockdown 😘x

ParisInTheSpringtime · 31/03/2020 11:22

Thanks @somegoodnewsforonce I’ll try that one.

AnxiousLady1 · 31/03/2020 11:31

Evening sickness now turned into morning sickness. No better way to greet the day than with a casual vom first thing in the morning...

ParisInTheSpringtime · 31/03/2020 11:36

@somegoodnewsforonce turns out M&S was right 😆

Fouryearslater · 31/03/2020 11:41

Thanks everyone. I’ll definitely wait until 12 weeks, see if I can eek it out until 20. I’m not sure if he’ll be excited (his best friend had a baby sister a while back and wanted me to get one from the shops 😂) or be horrified. He can’t accept the cat sitting on my lap!

mamayoucefka · 31/03/2020 11:56

Just had a call that my private scan I was meant to have in 2 weeks will not happen as they are canceling all the appointments and closing the clinic due to covid19. 😭😭 I m so worried that I just cant wait for the nhs scan which isnt even booked yet. Does anyone know any clinic in east london that is still open?

LozEliza · 31/03/2020 12:23

I threw up for the first time last night (8 weeks today!) we were in bed and DH started talking about feet - I couldn't get to the bathroom fast enough. IT LITERALLY CAME FROM NOWHERE! This terrifies me as I have a lot of Zoom calls this week.

I was prescribed Buccal tablets for nausea so have been taking these before bed. Feel much better day by day tbh.

Ranoutofgoodnames · 31/03/2020 12:32

Thanks all - will have a look at pregnancy +

Really hoping my harmony test and scan isn’t cancelled... don’t know any east London ones I am afraid xx

Ranoutofgoodnames · 31/03/2020 12:46

Feel a bit queasy and a bit headachey. Sorry all - I don’t contribute much on here and when I do I tend to moan 🥺. I guess in normal times I would be chatting this all through with family and friends. It’s really nice to have a space I can be slightly stressed and irrational in. My husband does everything he can but he can’t really appreciate how crap it is to sit trying to work at home with a constant sense that at any moment I might throw up...😳

Hancock2020 · 31/03/2020 12:56

Think I've got to the point of I just cant be bothered to eat, all I'm doing is sitting, eating, then bed. I'm going nuts!! 🤪😩

burntpinky · 31/03/2020 13:06

@Hancock2020 me too. Bored out my brain. Feel sick ALL the time. Am size of a house.

I really hope this lockdown lifts after the MS is over

Hancock2020 · 31/03/2020 13:10

@burntpinky I'm a restraunt supervisor so I'm literally used to running around like an idiot for 10-12 hours a day, only getting to eat once a day. This has been a massive change! Not due to open again till June 😭

burntpinky · 31/03/2020 13:13

@Hancock2020 oh no! Hope your job is ok x

Pink15 · 31/03/2020 13:14

I slept 13 hours last night - and yesterday I literally was on the bed or sofa all day didn't even leave the house!! And I already feel exhausted! How is this possible!? 💤

Zara1234uk · 31/03/2020 13:18

Hello everyone is it ok if I join? I’m 8 weeks today with my second, my little girl is 3. Had my booking appt over the phone yesterday and have to attend the local children’s centre on Monday for bloods. I’m hypothyroid and prev GD so I’m a bit nervous! I was going to book an early scan too but everywhere is either closed or booked up now!
Also been prescribed promethazine for horrific 24/7 morning sickness and nausea, after cyclizine not working! Any tips on what to eat would be greatly appreciated Smile

Hancock2020 · 31/03/2020 13:20

@burntpinky we all got laid off with no pay but have been told we still have jobs to go back to luckily.
But needless to say I was glad Boris is paying 80% or we'd have nothing as my DH works in the same restraunt

Hancock2020 · 31/03/2020 13:21

@Zara1234uk try window to the womb
