Hi there 😀 decided to make this to chat to other Mums due this month.

I'm due on the 21st (Easter Sunday!) but I can't help shifting the feeling he'll be here earlier.

Anyone had false labours yet? I get bad for about 3 hours then it fades away - it's happened to me twice now! Getting fed up with the pain, discomfort and annoyed with my PGP (SPD) and Raynaud's so just want this kid now 😆

Very excited though, despite the nerves for labour. Just seeing how other Mums-to-be are handling things since we're so close to the end 😊

Congratulations @anonaon!

@VixenAndCub that sounds miserable. I think I pulled every muscle in my body. To the extent that I didn't even notice my stitches hurting for days after when everything else started to fade. (But by god I still feel then now!)

ChaosMoon · 24/04/2019 09:31

@undercoverhero I can only begin to imagine! I hope it works soon and you don't have to have too many.

Had C Section yesterday, just got home! She’s so chilled and lovely so very happy Mum! Hospital were brilliant few problems with c section but after care has been really good !

@VixenAndCub I'm with you on the labour experience, omg I was not expecting that! We have just got home and I have my little boy fast asleep on my chest 😍

Went in for an induction on Monday morning. They broke my waters at 10pm that night and that's when things picked up. Made good progress initially but then stalled. Ended up on gas and air and one injection. Was completely out of it and shattered when I delivered baby at 12 lunchtime the next day. Think they were worried about babies heartbeat so was encouraged to push far quicker and harder than I was able. Have a pretty bad tearing to deal with now. Has completely put me off wanting to have another baby (for now)

Hope everyone is well x

Ooh ladies sounds like we've all had a trauma, i laboured in 4 hours, had to do 3 of them on my own as DP wasn't allowed in due to it been the middle of the night and I was only on the maternity ward waiting to go to the labour ward (when he was allowed to come) so he basically got there in time for me to push!
I also could only have paracetamol or cocodamol cos "we don't have gas and air on this ward" joke!
Then I ended up in bloody theatre anyway cos my placenta wouldn't detach! Haha!

In other news my milk came in today, my boobs are double the size and so sore! I'm not breastfeeding due to nipple issues so wishing the next week away and waiting for my fried eggs to come back! 😂

FinallyGotAnIPhone · 25/04/2019 09:06

Aww congrats everyone. Childbirth is hideous !

undercoverhero · 25/04/2019 09:46

Is it just me left to go now???
I had my second sweep yesterday and this morning Iv lost my mucus plug and have been having irregular cramps from about 4am. Hopefully we are heading down the right path and I will be joining you all on the motherhood train 😊

VixenAndCub · 27/04/2019 23:31

Good luck @undercoverhero!

@Blgb - my milk came in yesterday but is already easing off. I can't breastfeed due to nipple issues too so it's rather awkward. Sleeping in a bra (to keep pads on) is awful, I hate it 😆

Ladies, does anyone know how long this after birth 'period' lasts? Been nearly a week and I'm much lighter but I'm on my 3rd pack of maternity pads. Just wondering when it'll stop

Also; is anyone else struggling with their appetite? Everything else is slowly coming back, but I'm struggling to eat much. Every time I eat I feel ill and it doesn't feel like I have acid reflux but I certainly have a touch of sulphur burps 🤢

Getting constant headaches in the front too. And I don't think it's to do with the crying; Baby Noah is a very chill baby and I've been able to sleep while he sleeps.

Anyone else?

@VixenAndCub I'm with you on all the things except from headaches, the afterbirth is still going but I've got a funny feeling it might already be AF time aswell as I got some cramps earlier tonight.
My appetite is not great and makes me feel a bit sick but DP makes sure I eat, if it wasn't for him been here I think if forget!

FinallyGotAnIPhone · 28/04/2019 08:59

Ooh sore nipples ouch. I’m on day 14 now and they’ve toughened up so it’s not toe curling when I put the baby on anymore. I’m sleeping in my bra or a breastfeeding vest.

Still bleeding. Not lots but sometimes there are clots.

I have a massive appetite !!

littlehelp · 28/04/2019 10:43

Finally had my baby boy yesterday considering he is my 4th he was by far the most difficult to birth at 9.8lbs !!

My whole body is aching today feels like I’ve been in a car crash never has this with the others. Can hardly walk lol I think the midwifes put me in positions my SPD didn’t like too much, but had to birth him quickly due to distress and heart rate drop.

But he is hear and latching in well and super chilled 💖💖 xx

VixenAndCub · 28/04/2019 11:04

Congrats @littlehelp !
My SPD refused to cooperate too. They wanted me to go on all fours and lean on the back of the bed, which I wanted to try but my back was killing me!

I understand the car crash feeling. My boy is a week old today and I'm only now starting to feel myself (aside the stitches)

littlehelp · 28/04/2019 11:40

@vixenandcub has your spd got any better since? Ah bet this last week has flown by! I just wanna keep him a baby forever lol xx

VixenAndCub · 28/04/2019 11:45

@littlehelp It's pretty much disappeared within a day or two. My middle back is a tad sore but I was told that's from my pushing. It's muscular not bone so I feel so much better. I was shocked how quick it went

littlehelp · 28/04/2019 11:58

@vixenandcub that’s reassuring then aw enjoy your little one xx

ChaosMoon · 30/04/2019 09:59

I missed so much again! Congratulations mummies. 💐🥂😍

@undercoverhero that sounded promising. Any news?

The BF has gotten easier on the nipples in terms of latch, but at week 3 she's become a biter. So now my breasts just feel horribly bruised. HV appointment today so hopefully they'll have more advice.

undercoverhero · 30/04/2019 17:17

Baby Freddie was born on Sunday at 1712hrs. We were both home by 9pm the same day and are doing fine! I couldn't be more in love if I tried.
You guys certainly played down the labour part of childbirth, that is not something I want to do again In a hurry lol.
Congratulations everyone!

VixenAndCub · 30/04/2019 19:52

@undercoverhero Congrats! He looks so cute! You're so lucky you got to go home the same day. I was stuck there for 2 days waiting for someone to check Noah over 🙄

Labour was a nightmare. My partner always wanted 2 kids but after watching me go through that I don't think he's keen on me going through it again any time soon - and I've always said 1 so I'm not keen at all! 😆

Huge congratulations @undercoverhero! Freddie like gorgeous.

FyEnwiYwLucy · 02/05/2019 09:22

Is anyone else still waiting to have their LO? I was due on Friday 26th and still nothing. 6 days over ATM. Getting very very impatient and fed up 😂

FyEnwiYwLucy · 02/05/2019 09:23

Congrats to everyone, BTW! @undercoverhero we're calling ours Freddie, too!
