Hi there 😀 decided to make this to chat to other Mums due this month.

I'm due on the 21st (Easter Sunday!) but I can't help shifting the feeling he'll be here earlier.

Anyone had false labours yet? I get bad for about 3 hours then it fades away - it's happened to me twice now! Getting fed up with the pain, discomfort and annoyed with my PGP (SPD) and Raynaud's so just want this kid now 😆

Very excited though, despite the nerves for labour. Just seeing how other Mums-to-be are handling things since we're so close to the end 😊

My first labour started bang on due date but it was a loooooooong labour and she wasn't actually born until almost 2 days later. X

Buttons28 · 12/04/2019 14:25

@Wordie hope the induction is going ok, hopefully we will hear some happy news from you soon

I'm also joining the fed up of being awake during the night club

Had my 38 week appointment this week and I'm being sent for another growth scan on Monday as bump is measuring small. I never thought I'd get to see baby so much before it was born! Something to look forward to at least

desertmama1 · 12/04/2019 15:56

@VixenAndCub my first came the day before my due date 🙌

Blgb · 12/04/2019 16:00

I'm due on Sunday and I don't think he wants to leave! I've tried sex, curry, walks, bouncing on the ball, running up the stairs and nothing yet! 😂
I know I'm been impatient but I can't help feeling like I'm in limbo of the next part of my life starting! S+S booked in for Monday!

Mummab3ar · 12/04/2019 16:06

Okay, so I may be looking too much into this...okay I am but I have had so much show today and have had (sorry tmi) about 4-5 episodes of loose stools now! Also my back aches is killer...I'm clutching at straws here 😭😂😂

VixenAndCub · 12/04/2019 16:24

@Mummab3ar
That all sounds like what my midwife says the beginning of it. Though I haven't had a baby before so I don't really know what I'm on about 😆 But that sounds like all the signs Ive been told about! Especially the back pain.

I've been told if I get that, have a warm bath. If the pain goes away fully it's a false labour. If it carries on or gets worse it's the real deal!

I had what you had twice before and then it went away after a couple of hours (I was devastated!)
Fingers crossed for you!!

@VixenAndCub this is number 3 for me but 1st time it started with backache and 2nd time i woke up with contractions, so who knows how it will be this time 😂

Sassenach85 · 12/04/2019 23:10

Any other second or third time mums feel anxious sometimes?? I keep getting waves of panic or anxiety just for a few seconds like it's sinking in .... Confused

anonaon · 13/04/2019 01:44

@Sassenach85 yes absolutely but then I also get contradictory feelings of oh it'l b grand! I swing back n forth between being too laid back and sheer panic Lol! ... third baby here and two v diff births , both fast though so I'm grateful for that . Plan is to stay at home as long as I can get some nice baths . Get rid of the kids and chill out before it gets too much for me , I find the distraction of being in a non hospital setting really helped only went in last time at 9cm so maybe left it a little too late . Defo recommend not going in too early .

undercoverhero · 13/04/2019 07:03

Another night of no sleep for me. Constantly feeling restless, DP had the cheek to compare me to a pregnant Rhino!!! I know he didn't mean it to be unkind, (he watches lots of animal programmes and apparently Rhinos get restless before birth???) but let's just say my hormones did not see the funny side.
38 weeks now and absolutely no signs. I don't even think he has dropped in the slightest. It's like one minute I need the loo every two mins and I'm all like "yay he's finally in position" and then the next nothing.
Not the best start to the weekend but at least I'm up and about early to enjoy it 😊

@Wordie how did the induction go? Is everything ok?

Mummab3ar · 13/04/2019 07:16

I also didn't aleep last night, I keep getting cramps, but nothing substantial just enough to cause mild discomfort. Also more plug came away during the night. I feel like things might happen soon, perhaps I'm in pre-labour or something...I bloody hope so 😂

littlehelp · 13/04/2019 12:27

Ah the waiting game is almost over ladies, I’m 39 weeks tomorrow and cramping on and off keeping busy hoping labour starts at the most inconvenient time 😂

Sassenach85 · 13/04/2019 13:40

Fingers crossed for everyone getting close!! Baby is so low I'm in a lot of pain I think he wants to headbutt his way out!!

Mummab3ar · 13/04/2019 15:26

So this happened today at 38+3 weeks, Elijah was born at 1316 weighing 7lbs 14oz, andis doing great! 😍

P.s. dont mind the breastfeeding 😂😂

Due April 2019 - How're you feeling?
undercoverhero · 13/04/2019 15:36

Oh wow @Mummab3ar congratulations he is beautiful!!!!!

Blgb · 13/04/2019 15:40

Wow congratulations @Mummab3ar that was fast! (I know it wasn't your first) but just from this morning! 😍
He is beautiful! Really hope I'm not far behind you!

desertmama1 · 13/04/2019 15:49

@Mummab3ar wow, congratulations!!!

FirstTimeMumApril19 · 13/04/2019 16:06

I've regularly been reading this group but never posted. I think I've hit a brick wall today and just want this baby to arrive. I've had irregular back pains and spasms for a week now, period cramps on and off for the last couple of days and I'm sleeping virtually 24/7. I'm not due until 29 April....does this sound like I'm potentially in early labour or is that wishful thinking?

Sassenach85 · 13/04/2019 16:07

Awwwww congrats!! He's so gorgeous xxx well done you

littlehelp · 13/04/2019 16:10

Yah congratulations 👶🏻😊

Mummab3ar · 13/04/2019 16:14

Thank you lovelies! He is perfect! My contractions were regular but DH convinced me to phone up anyway. We were told to come on in as I deliver fast, but didn't go in until 12 because of childcare issues and traffic 🙄😂! Anyway I was 5cm when i got in and then he was born at 1316 no pain relief and a really lovely birthing experience!

Cant wait to see all your little darlings come along soon ladies! 😘

Mummab3ar · 13/04/2019 16:17

Irregular** sorry

desertmama1 · 13/04/2019 16:18

@Mummab3ar so good to hear you had a positive experience. Thank you so much for sharing 😘

desertmama1 · 13/04/2019 16:20

@FirstTimeMumApril19 sounds promising, but you just never know! It's my due date today and I'm sitting here with period-like cramps but not getting my hopes up just yet!

Sassenach85 · 13/04/2019 17:08

I'm also fed up of these cramps that crop up. When they do they are really bad but not in a stop and start way they just hurt for ages. I don't know if this is a sign or if just baby in funny position Hmm
