Hi there 😀 decided to make this to chat to other Mums due this month.

I'm due on the 21st (Easter Sunday!) but I can't help shifting the feeling he'll be here earlier.

Anyone had false labours yet? I get bad for about 3 hours then it fades away - it's happened to me twice now! Getting fed up with the pain, discomfort and annoyed with my PGP (SPD) and Raynaud's so just want this kid now 😆

Very excited though, despite the nerves for labour. Just seeing how other Mums-to-be are handling things since we're so close to the end 😊

Congratulations!!! And well done 😊

Hi,
Can I jump on please?
Baby isn't due until the 30th but I'm feeling the same frustrations as you all. Baby hasn't dropped yet and I'm pretty sure he isn't engaged despite what the midwife said. I'm just getting really fed up now as I have a feeling that he will be overdue. I have had no BH or any other signs, just a wriggly jiggly baby lol.
I hope you are all ok Smile

VixenAndCub · 10/04/2019 00:02

@undercoverhero
Hi there!
Doesn't seem to make a difference if they're engaged or not. Mines so far down I feel like I'm sitting on a tennis ball sometimes, and still nothing.

@VixenAndCub that sounds rather unpleasant lol. This little fella is so far up in my ribcage I think he's confused about which way is the exit 😂😂
I'm hoping he will drop in the next week or so tho as the breathlessness is becoming really irritating now.
How far were you guys when your LO dropped?

VixenAndCub · 10/04/2019 18:56

@undercoverhero
I was about 32 weeks when he first engaged, has slowly made his way down further ever since. I'm 38 weeks now

@VixenAndCub I'm 37 weeks so was really hoping he would have dropped by now. Oh well I guess I will just have to remain patient and see what the midwife says next week 😊
It's all very exciting tho!!

Wordie · 10/04/2019 20:05

I saw my midwife yesterday and mine still hasn’t engaged. I’m 40 + 5! Going crazy waiting and getting so many messages/phone calls asking if I’ve had him already!

FinallyGotAnIPhone · 10/04/2019 20:30

I saw the midwife on Monday and she said the baby (my 3rd) is fully engaged. I’ve been having period type pains for over a week and the baby is so far down and pressing on my bladder that I have to go for a wee pretty much as soon as I’ve returned from the toilet from my last wee. I’m so fed up.

undercoverhero · 10/04/2019 20:47

@Wordie oh thats slightly reassuring knowing I'm not the only one 😊 I really hope you get to meet you baby soon! I still have 3 weeks left but am already getting the calls everyday lol.

I think I'm not going to wish my time away, needing the loo as soon as you have been does not sound enjoyable. At least we haven't got long now to wait

Mummab3ar · 10/04/2019 20:55

I saw my mw today and she said she doesn't think I'll make 40 weeks. I never have before, but we shall see. 3rd babies are apparently tricksy and I feel my little one is going to live up to that 😭😂!
I feel like I'm climbing the walls over here 😂 anyone else?

VixenAndCub · 11/04/2019 01:04

Just annoying that he's been engaged for a good couple of weeks now and NOTHING is happening! Just period pains and aches. Feeling full and lots of pressure and discomfort. So done with this!

FinallyGotAnIPhone · 11/04/2019 06:56

I had to wake up 10 times last night to go for a wee. It’s not even an exaggeration:-( I’m so fed up.

Mummab3ar · 11/04/2019 07:55

Oh my, I can sympathise with the weeing all through the night @FinallyGotAnIPhone - I am up constantly!

@VixenAndCub tell me about it! This one has been engaged since my 34 week appointment 😭😭! Last night I was getting some sharp pains and thought yes, this is it...but no - nothing! He seems determined to give me false hope this week 😂!

It won't be long now until we'll all have our babies in our arms 💕💕

desertmama1 · 11/04/2019 10:10

No news from me. I'm starting to get impatient 😬 my due date is the 13th so hopefully not too much longer to go....
although I'm now starting to stress out... based on my LMP EDD is 22nd but based on my growth scans Immy EDD is 13th. Please don't make me wait too long, baby 😫

anonaon · 11/04/2019 23:45

Just reading through...lol. We all sound very DONE lol. Soon mamas soon..anyone had a show yet ? I keep wiping hoping for it appear to no avail . Getting a sweep on Saturday afternoon though..fingers crossed . Xx

Wordie · 12/04/2019 00:52

Hope you’re all doing ok!

I went to my 41 week appointment today and had protein in my urine, they sent me for a blood test and ended up being admitted with preeclampsia! They decided to induce me and I’ve just had the first pessary. I’ve immediately got strong period pains and suddenly really nervous!

Also, his head is still completely free and cervix is ‘high and thick’ not very hopeful the induction will work!!

desertmama1 · 12/04/2019 03:56

Oh @Wordie hope all is going well!!! X

Sassenach85 · 12/04/2019 04:59

Can I join?? Grin I'm due my section on 23rd but have had my show and baby is sooooooo low. Same complaints as everyone else. Been for my 7th pee and now can't get comfy so here I am on mumsnet.

Mummab3ar · 12/04/2019 07:30

@anonaon yes! I had my show yestersay morning, well it's been coming away in pieces for about 4 days but yesterday morning I went to the loo and there is was. But I'm not sure it means anything for me 😭😂!

Oh @Wordie I'm sure you will be fine, but oh gosh how quick was that! Not lon until you meet baby though 😍 you will need to keep us updated!

@Sassenach85 the more the merrier, well I'm not sure if a group of woman coming to the end of their pregnancy can be called merry lol 😂 we are all pulling our hair I think 😂!

Yet again no sleep for me last night, this chronic hip pain is ridiculous and my midwife literally said "poor you" on Wednesday...thanks love 😂!

Creas35 · 12/04/2019 07:33

I’m 38 weeks today! Had my show 2 days ago but midwife said it could still take weeks. Booked in for section 23rd and baby girl is breech! Her head is under my ribs and I can feel her feet at night kicking my bladder! Had high protein but no other symptoms so just got to wait until 23rd. This part is the worst as you are always waiting for a sign something is going to happen! First baby (boy) I went in the night before my induction at 40+10 and didn’t have my show or waters till then and ended up have EMCS x

aiden2013 · 12/04/2019 07:37

Hiya I have two children. Already and have never been fully prepared for hospital due to being young first time and unexpected the second time. So really trying to prepare properly and I think I have everything ready for baby, but I have been wondering about car seats in hospital...as my partner travels a lot for work and although he should be back and there at time I was wondering if I have to make my own way there can I take the car seat with me when in labour or does it have to be left elsewhere until time of leaving?
Would really appreciate feedback, thank you. X

aiden2013 · 12/04/2019 07:42

Haha okay it’s not just me... it’s my 3rd also and I’m at wits end I mean I know i’ve Always had to use the toilet a lot... but literally from the min i’ve Washed my hands I’m ready to go again and I’m soooo over it now. Sleep is a myth as I literally get up every min to go toilet... don’t remember it being like this with my other pregnancies.
Wishing you a peaceful labour and delivery. X

Ahardma88 · 12/04/2019 07:48

Jumping on. Waiting for my second, due in the 24th and I've had enough. I've basically got a pregnant beer gut now. First was a week early so here's to hoping.

Mummab3ar · 12/04/2019 14:02

I'm on my 3rd and have never gone beyond 39 weeks, so I'm hoping I've not got too much longer to wait. I mean, I had a baby by this point last pregnancy 😭😂

VixenAndCub · 12/04/2019 14:21

Got no show and no waters at all and I'm nearly at 39 weeks 😞
Mummy's on their 2nd/3rd etc pregnancy; when did your first born arrive? Were they early or late?
This is my first and I'm getting teary because I just want my baby now.
