Hi there 😀 decided to make this to chat to other Mums due this month.

I'm due on the 21st (Easter Sunday!) but I can't help shifting the feeling he'll be here earlier.

Anyone had false labours yet? I get bad for about 3 hours then it fades away - it's happened to me twice now! Getting fed up with the pain, discomfort and annoyed with my PGP (SPD) and Raynaud's so just want this kid now 😆

Very excited though, despite the nerves for labour. Just seeing how other Mums-to-be are handling things since we're so close to the end 😊

I feel like I'm so far behind everyone else 😩
Still no signs whatsoever. He's still managing to roll around freely and hasn't given me any reason to think he is ready to make an entrance.
Like others I am using this time wisely and getting all the last niggly bits of housework done whilst I can. I feel like I have been off work forever haha.
I hope you ladies start feeling a bit better soon, this weekend is meant to be lovely! I hope everyone has a fabulous bank holiday 😊

desertmama1 · 18/04/2019 13:05

I had a sweep yesterday (oh my I didn't expect it to be that horrendous!!!) Had a bloody show a couple of hours ago and im having irregular cramps... not as sore as contractions. Booked in for an induction on Saturday. I hope I go into labour before Saturday!!

VixenAndCub · 18/04/2019 13:18

@desertmama1
I'm having irregular cramps too. It stopped yesterday but picked back up now. Triggering my PGP which is always fun 🙄
About to try a walk and the BF is off work today so he may get lucky just to see if I can trigger anything 😆

@desertmama1
Any developments? I'm still having cramps, nothing super painful though. Just walked my dog with my partner and nothings gotten worse.
Think a spicy curry for dinner is in order 😆

@VixenAndCub exactly the same as you! No developments 😩 just the same amount of cramping... hope you have a good night!

Blgb · 18/04/2019 18:29

So today went from 0-100 really quickly. Midwife appointment for a sweep, blood pressure too high. Hospital for monitoring and was ok but compared to my booking blood pressure far too high. Booked in tomorrow for induction! Wow

VixenAndCub · 18/04/2019 18:49

@Blgb
Wow, such a quick response! Fingers crossed everything goes well for you - let us know how it goes if you can!

Good luck for today @Blgb!

And I really hope everyone else as some movement soon.

FleasAndKeef · 19/04/2019 08:40

Hello! Hope nobody minds me hopping on Smile.

38+2 today with no particular signs of impending arrival yet... apart from grumpiness, haha!

Here's to a flurry of bank holiday babies...

Sassenach85 · 19/04/2019 10:19

Good luck @Blgb!!

I was up all night with "period cramps" but although baby is moving it's like the movements are less visible. Has anyone else noticed this?

anonaon · 19/04/2019 12:14

@Sassenach85 same! Mine was in my lower back and stomach was visibly contracting had my show this morning too . I was 2.5cm on wed id like to think I'll go this weekend! Movements are still as frequent but more squirmy like he's getting ready , rucksack on ready to go lol. Anyone an idea of their baby's weight? I'm expecting another 9lber 🙄🙈.

Redken24 · 19/04/2019 12:22

Due a week today. How do they guess the baby weight?

Sassenach85 · 19/04/2019 12:33

The midwife sent me for a growth scan as she thought baby was big and so did another midwife. Scan showed normal weight and on track to be about 8pounds.... but from what I hear the scans can be unreliable as well! I'm in so much pain when baby moves down low. I can only describe it like a dagger in my cervix! Def didn't get this with my DD Confused

undercoverhero · 19/04/2019 18:07

So I had a visit from the midwife this morning. Bump is measuring the same as it was at 36 weeks so I have been sent for a growth scan on Monday 🤨
I had one at 33 weeks and all was fine however I can't help but worry. I'm 38+4 now so will be bang on 39 weeks.
Anyone else had this so late in pregnancy. It's made me quite anxious.
On a positive note he is now engaged so definitely heading in the right direction 😊

ChaosMoon · 20/04/2019 00:57

I'm so sorry to hear that @undercoverhero. That's so stressful. I didn't have that myself but my best friend did with both of hers. I've spent the day playing with her now 3yr old and 6 month old, both of whom are perfectly healthy. It's good they're checking but it doesn't necessarily mean a problem. Good luck at your scan.

@Redken24 initially they just use your fundal height. If that's bigger or smaller than average, they take measurements on the scan. Neither are hideout accurate though.

Emma1517 · 20/04/2019 01:46

I was due 29th April , but being induced tomorrow as I had abnormal Doppler readings. I'm so nervous as this is my first baby but also so excited to meet and see my baby boy. I wish everyone else heaps of luck ☺️

Ahardma88 · 20/04/2019 06:31

Well that was a tad quick. Contractions started at 6pm went to hospital at 10.20 and aurelia rose was born at 10.40. Kept telling labour line I go quick at the end

Due April 2019 - How're you feeling?
Sassenach85 · 20/04/2019 07:43

Ahhhhhhh congratulations she is beautiful! Flowers

Buttons28 · 20/04/2019 09:33

Congratulations to all who have had their babies so far!

@Emma1517 good luck with the induction

@undercoverhero I'm going through something similar. Had my 38 week appointment and bump was measuring 33 weeks. Had a growth scan the following Monday as that was the first available appointment and I was 39 weeks. They basically said they are concerned baby is showing up big! Just goes to show all these measurements are a bit of a guess. I'm due tomorrow and have decided to get induced this week (they wanted to induce me right away after the scan) but I wanted to at least get to my due date. It's definitely made me more anxious about the birth now and I'm just praying I've made the right decision. I never expected to come out of the appointment with this result and it's thrown me. Go in with small bump come out worrying about large baby! Fingers crossed everything will be fine for you and baby is just hiding well

undercoverhero · 20/04/2019 10:34

@Ahardma88 oh my she is beautiful congratulations!!!

@Buttons28 these babies cause us nothing but worry don't they! I'm trying not to let it ruin my weekend but I'm soo anxious of every little hiccup and wiggle it's insane. I just wish I could get the scan over and done with and put my mind at rest. What date are you being induced???

My litttle nugget seems a bit quieter today, it's probably my paranoia however if he doesn't liven up by lunchtime I think a trip down to the DAU is in order just to make sure.

VixenAndCub · 20/04/2019 15:10

@Ahardma88
Congratulations!! Such a beautiful name to suit a gorgeous girl. Sounds like a nice quick labour too!!

My due date is tomorrow (yes, Easter Sunday) 😬. Had a bit of a show and got the usual period cramps today. I can barely move, feeling so bloated! Full of arms and legs, as my Dad says.
I really hope this bank holiday will be the time.

Still kind of sad I've had barely any show and no trickles of water to give me a good idea of what's going on. Even more depressed that all the things I've tried to get things going just aren't working.

For those on this forum who also have/had SPD/PGP - will labour be worse for us?

desertmama1 · 20/04/2019 15:45

Just to let you know I had my little one this morning 🙌 weighing 3.9kgs on gas and air.
Went in last night at 6:30pm, but only had baby at 11:33am... contractions annoyingly stalled so my waters were broken at 9:30am. Things swiftly moved on from there! Good luck to everyone waiting for their bubs 😘 and thank you for all your helpful support.

anonaon · 20/04/2019 15:53

Congratulations @desertmama1 !!! I'm still waiting . Losing more and more show it's never ending . Seven days overdue now . So bored . Contractions the other day never amounted to anything and none today. HELP!
