Hi there 😀 decided to make this to chat to other Mums due this month.

I'm due on the 21st (Easter Sunday!) but I can't help shifting the feeling he'll be here earlier.

Anyone had false labours yet? I get bad for about 3 hours then it fades away - it's happened to me twice now! Getting fed up with the pain, discomfort and annoyed with my PGP (SPD) and Raynaud's so just want this kid now 😆

Very excited though, despite the nerves for labour. Just seeing how other Mums-to-be are handling things since we're so close to the end 😊

@burritofan haha I'm so sorry you feel that way! Have you tried raspberry leaf tea ? I'm drinking that, as well as eating pineapple and papaya 🤷‍♀️ I'm at the stage now where I'd quite like my body back and to be able to move freely again 😊

burritofan · 04/04/2019 18:52

Yup, I'm on the tea, bouncing on the ball, mainlining curries… not today though, the thought of eating is a bit 🤢. Tried having sex last night to encourage the baby out but the weight of the bump on DP made him too breathless – how does he think I feel?!

Buttons28 · 04/04/2019 19:31

I have nothing to report! I'm getting jealous of all of your symptoms 🙈 had a pretty bad nights sleep where I was just awake for a few hours during the night, has made me feel like crap today so have achieved absolutely nothing today.

The last month of pregnancy is definitely longer than the rest of the pregnancy put together. Even the apps have nothing interesting to add each week just the fact "baby is putting on weight" 😬

hospitalbagfrenzy · 04/04/2019 19:40

Hi! I'm due on the 27th but booked in for ELCS on the 23rd. My ds1 came at 37+3 which would be the 9th this time.. I've been banking on going around the same time but I think I need to lose that idea!!

Having lots of discharge and sometimes feel like I've wet myself (when I haven't).

Also currently suffering from a sinus infection which is apparently a sign of
Upcoming labour??

How's everyone else doing?

VixenAndCub · 04/04/2019 19:46

I'm trying all sorts to get labour going! Trying all the myths. Been having a lot more period like pains but that's it!

Eaten hot curries, pineapples, driven over bumps, had sex (as best we can with this bump), small walks - not much happening! Any I missed? I know he's engaged it's just a case of pressing the Start button 😆

Nipple stimulation @VixenAndCub! It's one of the few things that actually has any evidence behind it. I've been trying to hand express colostrum, with mixed success and it certainly makes my BH much stronger.

@burritofan you have me in stitches. 😂 I need to get on it with the sex. Problem is, the last couple of times we've dtd, the baby has started kicking DH, and it's really put him off!

VixenAndCub · 04/04/2019 20:39

@ChaosMoon My midwife mentioned harvesting colostrum since I'm unsure about BFing. Can't get more stimulated then that I imagine! I gave it a go a couple of times and it trigger a light BH but didn't produce much.
Got bothered by the fact I can't harvest as much as I'd like but I'll keep trying just for the BH's alone! I just want my baby now 😆

All my symptoms sound the same as everyone else’s. On and off pains, discharge etc. Also have now outgrown my maternity jeans :-( Body clearly gearing up but I know it could still be weeks. I’m 37 weeks so probably shouldn’t complain.

ReginaGeorgeous · 05/04/2019 08:12

Hi!
I'm due on the 19th with my second. Feeling huge, irritable and fed up. I went 7 days overdue with my first and didn't have any signs at all that labour was coming. I'd had no cramps, no braxton hicks, no show or anything, got out of bed for a wee at 4am at 40+6 and my waters broke. Hoping this one comes on time. Had an awful back to back labour first time and looks like this one is also in the same position. Been bouncing on my ball a lot but he doesn't seem to want to move.

anonaon · 05/04/2019 11:57

Hey guys .. I'm 39 weeks today.. and my mood has shifted from yesterday . Feeling very strange don't know if it's a sign of impending labor but I could cry at everything, went out for dinner with a friend last night and just had this awful anxious feeling like I shouldn't leave the house . Today I've cried numerous times when I think about the birth and actually missing the kids when their at school ... say what?! Lol. Very very anxious . Bit panicky too. Anyone else feeling odd?? Xxx

desertmama1 · 05/04/2019 12:20

@anonaon I'm 39 weeks tomorrow. I'm feeling a bit weird - emotional and hugely irritable, especially with my husband...

anonaon · 05/04/2019 14:58

@desertmama1 odd feeling isn't it .... I'm trying to be productive organizing the baby's drawer in our room vests etc and cleaning the shelf down where I'll be keeping his bottles and milk dummies etc . Just a waiting game isn't it.. keep checking for a show every time I go to toilet . Lol. How r u sleeping? I got about 3 hours last night which might explain the emotional instability ha

desertmama1 · 05/04/2019 15:13

@anonaon I'm the same going to the loo and checking for a show... ☺️ I'm sleeping ok... get up for a wee about 5-6 times a night though!!! It's just a waiting game now though for sure.

Mummab3ar · 05/04/2019 17:58

@ChaosMoon yes!! 🙌🙌! I feel him so low it is uncomfortable. It reminds be of labour 😂😂! I keep getting horrid cramps and back pain and for the last week and a bit have only managed to sit on a birthing ball 😭, but I suppose that's a good thing because it's better than sitting in a hard chair lol!

cannonball8726 · 05/04/2019 18:27

Also feeling her really low. It's so painful! Nothing feels comfortable right now :(

littlehelp · 05/04/2019 20:16

My clary sage oil arrived today I’m 37+4 so ran a bath lots of drops (probably double recommended) candle dark lights and got some on a tissue inhaling it lol 😂 let’s see what happens ha ha

VixenAndCub · 05/04/2019 21:01

@littlehelp
Please tell me if it works, I'll try anything at this point!

Been nesting like crazy. The nursery is done and now I'm just scrubbing my house down every day this week. I just finished cleaning the kitchen and I got Hicks. My Mum jokes I'll be in labour this weekend since I'm nesting so much and I hope to God she's right! He's so low down! Every twitch he does feels so awkward and weird!

littlehelp · 05/04/2019 21:09

@VixenAndCub I shall keep
You posted I don’t expect anything from it although I’m sending myself crazy ha never been early with other 3 so I don’t know who I’m trying to kid baby not even engaged ha ha

VixenAndCub · 05/04/2019 22:05

@littlehelp
Thanks! My baby has been engaged for almost a month now, he's my first and I'm impatient, so really willing to try anything.

Everyone; does anyone find using a exercise ball helps with increasing Hicks? I unfortunately don't have one, I was wondering if anyone knew of alternatives to using a ball but get a similar reaction.

Mummab3ar · 05/04/2019 23:39

@VixenAndCub I have been on my birthing constantly over the last week or so and have been havin Braxton hicks but this is my third, I didn't have any really with my first 2.

Tootyfrooty35 · 06/04/2019 02:49

My April baby arrived yesterday ❤️ we have another son, a beautiful big boy... Even bigger than my other son 😲😂he was 11lb10 and is rocking a 3-6m vest already 😍😂

Labour has got to be one of the most intense experiences in life but its do incredible what our bodies can do.

Good luck to everyone... I know it feels like you'll be pregnant forever but it's over in a flash and your little, or not so, will be in your arms soon!

desertmama1 · 06/04/2019 04:13

Congratulations @Tootyfrooty35 ! I hope your labour was a wonderful experience 😊

Mummab3ar · 06/04/2019 07:27

@Tootyfrooty35 Congratulations! I too felt my second son was more intense but totally worth it 😍! I bet your besotted 💕

ChaosMoon · 06/04/2019 08:12

Congratulations @Tootyfrooty35, that's wonderful news! You're right -the female body is incredible. I trust you're both doing well.

Glad to hear it's normal @Mummab3ar, though not that you and @cannonball8726 are so uncomfortable too. I think I remember comfortable but I may have to Google it to be sure...

@anonaon @desertmama1 I've been so good at not getting emotional this pregnancy but for the last week I've been like a crazy person. Poor DH, he's being a star dealing with it/me!

@VixenAndCub I find it so hit and miss how much I can get out. Sometimes nothing, some days half a milliliter, which at least is a feed in the early days. Then I met a friend who said she could get a whole test tube in one go. Now that was disheartening!

blh23 · 06/04/2019 08:15

Morning ladies, can I jump on? Was due at the end of April but unfortunately baby is still breeched (has been for ages and not budged) so we have a date set for a c-section in a couple weeks time. Does anyone have any tips regarding recovery etc? Sad I won't be getting my water birth! ☹️ hope everyone is feeling okay! xo
