Pacemaker insertions are pretty routine these days, and the treatment for irregular heart rhythms is much better nowadays than it would have been when your Mum was with us. I know it's hard, but try not to worry. It is so hard when the person who is supposed to be big and strong and look after you suddenly becomes poorly. Thinking of you. 2010 will still be your year.

thanks girls he's in cardiff so i will be going there as soon as i can, hopefully this weekend.Zulu - it was a heart attack that caused him to collapse in the first place hence the need for the hospital and pacemaker.he's been in hospital since the day before crimbo eve, he's hoping that they will sort it all out by the end of next week so he can go home, apparently once its done he can go home the next day so thats a good thing.

Nutty - really glad you can get to see him this weekend. Will your other brother be there too? Fingers crossed he gets the pacemaker fitted soon so he can go home. Does he have someone to look after him once he's been discharged from hospital?

Tigga - I can very very very much relate to the lack of sleep. Last night O was up at:

21.45, 22.50, 23.45, 01.10 and he's been up for the day since 05.00

It's amazing how being beyond knackered can colour your enjoyment of life - not really up for being a mummy today just want to sleep oh well, will attempt some kip when (if) O goes down for a nap later...

Morning.

Well, A slept in his usual style (i.e. waking twice), but DS1 is going through a phase of having nightmares.
"I try not to think about scary things, Mummy, but I can't help it. It's like eating my bogies. I do my best not to, but really I can't help it."
So I stayed in his room from 4:30 to 5, when A woke, then went to my room to feed A. I had just drifted back to sleep when DS1 appeared by my bed in tears, and I let him climb in. He then didn't go back to sleep till 6, so neither did I. Up again at 6:45 to shower, etc.

BUT, I am catching up on e-mails and MN while eating a pain au chocolat. From the nicest bakers in town. And we have heating, which is good news as we are on alerte orange for snow this evening.

A is much better, but now has an evil chesty cough. The CM has orders to call me if needed. I have a student coming round this morning, whom I stupidly agreed to help prepare her teacher's exams. And a mountain of work. Kick me off here if you see me!
