Loopy - that was pretty much what the nursery manager said too. Three reasons for not complaining ! 1- t would have to leave his very lovely pre-school to go to the school nursery and he's had enough upheaval and he loves it there. 2 The nursery is at the school he will be going to, I don't want he or I to be labelled from the start. 3 I'm too bloody tired !
If the solution I've come up with didn't suit us best I'd probably push it.

LOM - glad that P is sleeping better, sounds like a cuddle-bum! Nowt wrong with that (she says through rose tinted glasses!) but hope you get some longer stretches soon. Re the toilet training - totally agree with your reasoning although appalled at their policy. Adam is still showing no interest whatsoever in toilets so I am perhaps feeling a little bit defensive! But our new nursery has been v.lovely and said that they can help us with toilet training but that there is no point rushing. The pre-school Adam goes to insists that Adam wears pull ups Confused but otherwise cool. Looking forward to meeting P in 2011.

Well we are having a joint bday party on Sunday and, fingers crossed, it will go OK. Cheaper obviously but many, many children! We have had lots of offers of help though and, for once, I have accepted all.

Loopy - you will be Sarah Beeny!

My baby is 3 today!!!
He's had a lovely day, is delighted with buzz lightyear and loved the spiderman cake I made for him. Re. potty training I am trying to persuade him that now he's 3 he wants to use a potty, he's not convinced yet though. Our nursery is very supportive which helps and aren't putting any pressure on, but I want rid of the nappies now!

Loopy - William is the same, he likes making a bed in the canvas toy bag!

Greedygirl · 21/11/2010 20:26

Ahhh, happy birthday William!

Loopy - hope DD3 is feeling better now. My mum always said by the time she had my sister, her 3rd child, she had more experience of children than the childless HVs!

Well, William and Buzz Lightyear are best buddies which is lovely. I've suddenly realised I haven't even though about his Christmas present yet though. DD on the other hand, has an extensive list inspired by the advert breaks during milkshake on channel5 in the morning ! Grin

Loopy - we watch a lot of Boomerang in this house for Scooby viewing and the adverts drive me barmy! But I second the catalogue thing, I am going to try and hold off doing that for a few years, my niece drives everyone round the twist with her Argos xmas lists but I think they should just stick the catalogue in the blue bin - easy for me to say!

We got some different toys in the Tesco half price sale and we have saved some for xmas. Trying not to go too mad - the house is already full of Scooby crap!

The joint party worked out really well in the end, bouncy castles are a marvelous invention! Really looking forward to xmas now. Any more birthdays to come?

jetgirl · 28/11/2010 15:11

Happy Birthday for Thursday, Adam! Glad it was a good party.

Loopy - oh yes, I hate CITV, and not just for the adverts, I think the programmes are pretty awful too. As I'm not actually here by the time DD is getting ready for school, I can't supervise her programme watching (I leave for work at 7:15) I allow Peppa Pig before doing the school run on the days I don't work and that's when I am bombarded with 'I want that' repeatedly. No catalogues here either Grin

DH has taken William away this weekend, so I'm having a girly weekend with DD who is currently dancing round the living room to the Nutcracker DVD. The house seems very empty without DH and William, but they're back tomorrow so normal service will be resumed. In having a really good tidy up - and searching for my hot water bottle under the bad - I have found 37 unwashed socks belonging to DH Shock It seems he is incapable of transfering them to the laudry basket; shirts, jeans, undies, they all make it there but not his socks! No wonder he's always buying new pairs!

Anyone had snow? We haven't, it's just really cold.

Greedygirl · 28/11/2010 19:31

Heavy snow here. I had bought tickets to a local panto but the road is prone to jack-knifing lorries in icy conditions so I stayed put! It took me 4 hours to get home one evening last year on that road - never again!! Adam really enjoyed playing in the snow but we lost one of his gloves so I had to improvise with a pair of my socks Blush. Did the trick though. I really hope the snow will clear off now as we are meant to be seeing Biffy Clyro tomorrow and John Bishop on Tuesday evening and both events have very complicated babysitting arrangements that rely on good driving conditions!

jetgirl · 28/11/2010 20:12

Ooooh, I love John Bishop! Envy

Lom - glad to hear all is well Smile

Loopy - congratulations! Your dh does know he determined the gender doesn't he Grin ?

RGPargy · 01/12/2010 00:03

Glad to hear all is well Loopy!! :o

We have 4 inches of snow here, at the last count this afternoon. Today is the first day of the snow for us but already i am bored with it as i had to miss the gym tonight and DD had to miss preschool. I will be missing gym again tomorrow morning and no doubt DD's preschool will be closed again. :( DP isn't going to bother going into to work tomorrow either as he is supposed to be going to Brighton (from Kent!) for the day and i more or less forbade him. (:o) He then heard on the radio that people were stuck on the M23 for 4 hours and he said "that's it, i'm definitely not going in tomorrow!". Job done.

I hope it clears up by the weekend as we are having DD's birthday in our local soft play centre and have to pay for 10 kids regardless of whether or not they all turn up!! Hmm My friend had her DD's "party" there the other day. All she did was pay for the mums to get in and a cup of tea! The kids didn't know any different and all had a fab time. Wish i'd have thought about doing that - i could have saved a fortune! Blush

LOM - hello, have you got any pics of Patch up online yet? Am dieing to see him!!

Love to all!!

:o
