Hi everyone!

Cant believe i lost you completely!! Shock

We are forecast more snow like before for the weekend. I sincerely hope they are wrong - i have a panto to go to, dagnammit!!

Hope everyone is well - will catch up tonight. DP is working away tonight so i will be having FULL control of the TV and will probably go to bed ruddy late!! :o

Hi all - very busy here, but just one day to go before we break up, and not a moment too soon! My year 11s have done their mocks and I've marked those, but I have controlled assessments to mark over the holidays.

Loopy - it was the getting together anniversary, so not crucial in the great scheme of things, but annoying nonetheless!

Greedy - we did portable north pole last year, dd loved it. DH and I created messages for each other with the naughty option which kept us amused, can't imagine the children would like that though Xmas Grin

RG - What panto are you seeing? We took the kids to see Peter Pan. William was a little scared at first but soon got into it and now spends a lot of his time on his front pretending to be a crocodile!

RGPargy · 16/12/2010 22:50

We're off to see Jack and the Beanstalk with none other than Mr Maker!

In April my friends and i took the DCs to see Show Me Show Me live and they sat through that no problem! I am sure DD will LOVE it! (fingers crossed!)

William sounds cute, Jet, bless him! :o

Oh Loopy, what a nightmare! Have you said anything yet? How about asking what the long term plans are for the boys - she may have already been thinking that it isn't ideal. I think you are right and that consistenty is what they absolutely need at such a traumatic time but I also think that you are right to think carefully about how you approach it. I am sure that the family around her must be thinking the same thing and may be less hesitant in stating their opinion? What a lovely friend you are. My heart completely goes out to everyone involved - keep us posted. xx

Arghhh!! Just deleted v.long message! anwyay, the gist of it was - fingers crossed Loopy, hopefully they will be able to grab a moment and some space to think more seriously about more settled arrangements for their other boys in amongst the madness. Perhaps, as you say, you have prompted them to talk about it.

Hope you are not too snowed in/under RG. We haven't had any more snow in these parts but my mum and dad are meant to be coming down from Shetland tomorrow (by ferry/car) and I am hoping they will be able to make it without taking any stupid risks.

Happy xmas everyone! Just bumping before we drop off the page! Hope you all had a lovely day. We had a v.relaxing day and our own xmas miracle - a "lie-in" till 8 o'clock! I am meant to be going out tonight and feeling v.baa humbug about it all - it is sleeting here and below freezing ffs, why would I want to leave my lovely cosy house?!

RGPargy · 30/12/2010 23:54

Hope everyone had a lovely christmas! All is well here, hope all is well your ends! If i dont post before, Happy New Year to you all! :o

Hi all, hope you had lovely Christmases. We spent a few days at the in-laws, all very chilled out and went sledging on boxing day. William had an earache and spent most of christmas day crying or sleeping, but he's much better now. Having a quiet night in, movie, wine and a cheeseboard for new year.
Happy new year to you all xx

Happy New Year everyone!

This year I am going to know what is in my bank account at all times! I am also going to make more of an effort to catch up with friends/have some time to myself. This is the theory anyway...Smile.

Totally resolved in any case to spend next new year's eve at home eating lovely food and drinking nice wine in the comfort of my own home after the third year running at my (lovely) SIL's house full of screeching 7-8 year olds, over-tired toddlers and knackered grown-ups. DH feels that we have to do "something".

Hope William is fully recovered Sad. My dad has had a chest infection and we were all rather unsympathetic (thinking man flu) and then he kept being sick and the doctor threatened to hospitalise him to get IV antibiotics so now we are all feeling awful!

My friend's daughter had the first baby of the new year (in our area), lovely baby boy born at 1 in the morning.

RGPargy · 04/01/2011 18:02

Not much of a new years res here, but i do intend to go to bed by 11pm every night! We do tend to burn the midnight oil here and then pay for it badly when we have to get up at 5am (or earlier!) on work days!

I have decided not to make any new years res for stuff like dieting etc because i dont want all the disappointment when/if i fail at it, so i am just keeping it a secret to myself to portionate my dinners better and eat less crap. :o

Loopy - loving 'threenager' will have to remember that one! How was dd2's first day at school?

I haven't made any resolutions really, though have been keeping the kitchen spotless, getting washing up put away instead of leaving it on the draining board, and it's made me feel calmer just knowing when I get up the kitchen is lovely! William on the other hand has apparently resolved to use the potty Grin we are having reasonable success and I am looking forward to saying goodbye to nappies! Since we started he's had dry nights too which is so different from my experience with dd.

Am Grin today because I bought a lovely pair of boots in the sale - half price. They actually make me want to go to work tomorrow!

Threenager! Grin So true!

Loopy - poor thing Sad! Can't imagine how hard that must be, seeing your child going through that. Your friend took you up on your offer then? How is it going?

Adam is now the proud owner of a pink toilet seat which has been declared "not comfy". Oh, and crapping in your pants is?!! Lovely topic this but does anyone else find that grapes make their DC's poos a bit loose? OFGS, I really am conforming to all stereotypes about parents now!

Loopy - pink is his absolute all-time favourite colour! And has been for ages. He would be in absolute heaven at your house!
