Just a quick one; I've been meaning to fill you all in for ages but it's all been a bit manic.
First of all a massive thank you for the gorgeous blue bunny comforter. It is perfect and I was very touched X
Patch is doing well, only lost an ounce of his birth weight, reckon I'm producing gold top ! He's also sleeping really well which is brilliant.
I will email you all some pics when a get a mo, doesn't really feel right putting them online.

T is being quite 'challenging'atm. His little nose is very out of joint and I feel a bit Sad that he's getting on my nerves so much. I just want to curl up in the cave under my bear skin rug and cuddle my baby. Sure it will all iron out though.
Physically I'm on the mend but is def taking longer to fix than first time. Off to pilates methinks.
oh and Loopy - the sling is brilliant, thanks X

Loopy - lol, it seems to be quite a common behaviour judging from the thread, I would have loved to have been a fly on the wall when you discovered her new "do".

LOM - glad you like the comforter. Patch sounds like he is very clever and gorgeous. Poor T, I can imagine that Adam would be an absolute bloody nightmare if I were to have another baby, he is quite the little stalker at the mo! But I am sure he will adapt and adjust and be a proud big brother once he is over the shock of having to share the centre of the universe.

I am still enjoying Shetland but will be glad to get home to DH on Wednesday. DS has been in bed with me so is shortly going to be very annoyed indeed!

RGPargy · 25/10/2010 22:03

Glad you like the comforter LOM :o It's great that Patch is doing so well too. :)

I think it's normal for kids to feel put out when a new baby arrives. I'm sure T will soon come around to the idea of having a lovely little brother to take care of.

Loopy - LOL @ your DD1!! The little imp! You must take a picture of her hair to tease her with when she's 18 and bringing home the boyfriends.... Wink

Greedy - DD is a stalker too, bless her. So demanding! She is also a little parrot and ANYTHING i say is promptly repeated - several times!! Tonight i was talking to DP and in jest i said "oh shut up". The next thing, DD is saying "shut up daddy, shut up daddy, shut up daddy". Yikes!!! I really have to watch my mouth now. It's soooo hard!! Hmm

Off to the dentist tomorrow. It'll be DD's second visit so hopefully she'll be absolutely fine about it again.

Have a good week everyone!

:o

Loopy - that is lovely news! How are you feeling?

LOM - ouch! I have heard that it is like having a nasty dose of the flu. Hope you are feeling better soon.

RG - lol, yes we are definitely getting to the point of having to watch what we say in front of them aren't we?!

Well I am back and feeling knackered. Shetland is chilled but travelling back tends to negate the positive effects! Lovely to be home. Looking forward to going to see some comedy tomorrow night with my friend.

littleoldme · 27/10/2010 21:29

Just a quick one - getting better but still grim. Very sore and fluey. Getting lots of help from lovely midwife though. I'm on elpehant strength anti bs so hopefully should kick in soon. It's all abit grim chez LOM at the mo.

Loopy - I'll whack them in the post for you but it'll prob take me about three weeks X

I didn't know that, thanks. I've got 7 days and will see doc on Mon if things haven't drastically improved. I am starting to feel better- yesterday I made ottoman Wairose on my own and in real clothes! We went out a few days ago and DH said I looked like I'd escaped from a mental institution.

Loopy - Fantastic news! So pleased for you! :o

LOM - I sympathise! I had mastitis with DD and DB and DN paid a visit to me and my newborn when i was feeling at my worst. I felt so ill!! Hope you are on the mend soon.

Greedy - Welcome back! :o

Dentist went well. He looked into her mouth first and said all was well and good. Then i hopped up on the chair for my check up and descale, while a wided-eyed DD looked on. I had to keep waving and smiling at her to show her everything was ok, despite the dentist putting loads of different strange things in my mouth lol. Perhaps it's best not to take DD to the dentist if i'm not just purely having a check up. Hmm

hope you feeling better LOM?

RG - I have taken DS to the dentist before then realised how weird/scary it must look to them!

Loopy - how many slings have you got?! I hope Santa brings you some shiny new ones. I would like some nice new clothes for xmas but me and my DH have just bought each other bikes so the clothes will have to wait until my birthday I suspect.

Nothing much happening here today. Feeling bored.

Just a quick one. Feeling vaguely human for the first time since Patch was born. Something to do with 1000mg of penicillin four times a day and being wAited on hand and footby DH. Even managed to walk acouple of miles today.

Lom- hope the drugs work for you, and I'm pleased to hear that you are being waited on! Patch is such a cute nn, I bet he's adorable Smile

Greedy- what comedy did you see? DH and I went to see rhod gilbert last night, he was brilliant, a very funny show.

Loopy- great news about the scan Smile

Rg- I've got to get my two to the dentist, thing is I realy don't think dd will cope with it, she refused to open her mouth for the gp when she had a throat infection! Sounds like your dd was much more cooperative.

We went to a little Halloween party this afternoon for the kids. It was lots of fun, though William quickly tired of his warlock costume. Most of the girls were very sweet witches. One of dd's friend's mum is seriously ill with probable terminal cancer Sad just makes you grateful for your lot.

RGPargy · 30/10/2010 22:43

11 or 12?? That's fairly tame compared to some of the mamas on NM website! Well done for being so restrained! Wink

Hello LOM :o So glad you are feeling nearly yourself again. Well done on the walk too! It took me 3 weeks to leave the house with DD and i had a normal natural HB!! Shock

Jet - I think reading DD's Peppa Pig's Dentist Trip story book has helped more than i would like to imagine! Also, the dentist just let her sit on the sofa next to me rather than in the big scarey chair lol.

I also took DD to a halloween party this afternoon. One of my gym friends put the party on but i wasn't too sure if it was just purely a kids' party or not.... Hmm As it turns out (and seeing as it was at 2pm lol) it was a kids' party. DD was one of the oldest there but she still had fun playing with the toys. She wouldn't even consider a halloween costume but was more than happy to wear her fairy costume so when we turned up, we proclaimed that she was the good fairy to defeat all the witches! :o

I'm thinking I've missed out on the sling thing, maybe I should have another to see what it's all about!! I did buy a book called Babygamni for a colleague who is having a baby. It's all different swaddling and sling techniques - very cute pics.

Can't believe half term is over already, I quite enjoyed it and it was nice to do stuff with DD. I'm back at work tomorrow, but at least it's only 7 weeks till the next holiday!

Greedygirl · 01/11/2010 22:30

Grrr back to work today!

I wish I had done the sling thing with Adam as he loved being carried and cuddled. I tried with one of those baby bjorn things which I found pants but then didn't try any others. Ah well, I might get a chance in a few years if I play my cards right Grin.

I have been having a bit of a childcare nightmare recently which I have avoided boring you all about but today there is a ray of light - I might have found a newly registered CM who lives about 2 streets away. Fingers crossed!

Adam was invited to his cousins Halloween party yesterday and he loved trick or treating (or begging as my DH likes to call it - kill joy!) but got a bit fedup with all the shrieking girlies later on. His cousin is 7. I felt his pain! He has been soooooooooooo cute today. If I say thanks he now says "you're welcome!".
