I'll talk to you Daisy, though I'm probably talking to myself right now

LittleMissNorty · 07/01/2009 08:06

Morning

happynewRia · 07/01/2009 09:37

morning
glad you linked it daisy

I am waiting for DH to go to work so I can start moving furniture and doing a major clean of the living room and conservatory (again, but it's bugging me now the decs are down). So I'll say goodbye now cos it's usually days like these where I bugger up the computer.

LackaDAISYcal · 07/01/2009 10:27

morning.

horrible horrible night here with bumble crying in pain and miserable all night, in spite of three separate doses of calpol yeaterday. He's still very out of sorts this morning and has a bit of a temperature and is looking a bit blotchy/spotty. Not sure whether or not I should bother the GP with it. DD is a grump as well so we are having a fab time of things here

Norty, having built up the Graco Duosport, I'm quite impressed with it, given the price of about £150 (although no raincover or cosytoes came with it). It's about the same size folded as the Aria, but is much lighter (only 8.5kgs) and seems roomier somehow as it has two 3/4 size seats.
It folds really easily as well. I've not taken it out yet, as I've asked for a raincover (imagine not sending a raincover in this weather!!), but will keep you posted. It still won't go through a standard doorway though. I don't think the doors in my house are narrower than standard, so where they are getting that they fit I don't know.

woohoo, I haven't knackered the PC

bloody cabinet wouldn't fit where I wanted it to go though. It has been there befoer

does anyone know anything about mould? or should I start a thread? I found some behind the cabinet that has never been there before. is it atmospheric or is it because of our new loft insulation? The bathroom mould has been worse since the insulation

happynewRia · 07/01/2009 11:03

sorry for your poorly children daisy.

Sputnik · 07/01/2009 13:47

Is that a iving room or a tardis you have there Ria

happynewRia · 07/01/2009 13:52

ah-ha sputnik

have run out of steam somewhat and it won't be finished before DH gets home.

so more of a Steptoes yard/Del Boys lock-up effect atm. I need a shelf putting up and I can't find the fecking shelf either (in the garage...somewhere)

Ohforfoxsake · 07/01/2009 14:43

hello

It gets worse before it gets better Ria! I am very familiar with the Steptoe's Yard interior design.

LackaDAISYcal · 07/01/2009 14:49

lord above Ria, don;t start a thread about mould at the minute, whatever you do

Is it pink/orange coloured? It could be that the loft insulation means that the house is more airtight so less air circulating = more mould. Also, I use one of those spray on vinegar window cleaners and as a result get lovely mould on the seal at the bottom of the windows where there's always a bit of condensation.

My house looks like a pram sale at the minute!

tomorrow Andy, from iCandy (PMSL) is coming with another one! The school run mums are starting to give me very funny looks indeed, so much so that I'm ashamed to try out another one!

OP posts:
happynewRia · 07/01/2009 14:54

get a tshirt printed with "pram-tester" on it.

mould is black

shock

school run...

happynewRia · 07/01/2009 14:55

with the same pram as I had yesterday

LittleMissNorty · 07/01/2009 15:42

Oh Daisy, all this advice is fab......I'll have a look. I hate leaving things so late though.....this baby will be here in 3.5 weeks!

Whats the Maclaren like?

DD been playing with her cousin today but she's a right miserable cow now cos she hasn't had enough sleep and she IS NOT going to sleep now.....roll on daddy coming home

LittleMissNorty · 07/01/2009 15:59

Did you take DS2 to GP Daisy? Didn't he have his jabs yesterday?

Poor little thing.... hope he's a bit better.

Just booked DDs first dental check-up for July....anyone elses LO already been?

God the screaming is doing my head in!

LittleMissNorty · 07/01/2009 16:21

Is this it Daisy?

JammyQueenOfTheNewYear · 07/01/2009 17:17

Hiya Norty. And everyone. Jamlet has been with me to the dentist a few times (not for the root canal treatment though!) and is registered there, but not had a proper check yet, just a cursory glance when we were there one time.

LackaDAISYcal · 07/01/2009 17:52

That's it Norty. The one I have is the same colourway, excpet the bumper bar on mine is grey. That's a fantastic price as well. They do a co-ordinating cosytoes and changing bag as well.

Thought I'd give bumble a bit longer. His cold is at the completely bunged up stage mine was at over the weekend and he's struggling to feed . In hindsight I maybe should have waited to have his jabs done, but the nurse could see he had a cold and didn't say anything.

Took the Jane Powertwin out this afternoon.....feck me it's heavy to steer. And DD seemed like she was miles away riding up front.

Not got the Maclaren yet Norty, but I loved the single version and used it from DD being 6 weeks old. It'll be interesting to see how the double version handles.

LackaDAISYcal · 07/01/2009 17:54

None of us have been to the dentist for over two years . I was last there when I was just pregnant with DD. No doubt we will have lost our NHS place

just having a moment remebering round about now '04 when I bent down to switch the playstation on for DS1 and my waters broke ... spectacularly!

happynewRia · 07/01/2009 18:53

-*+just noticed the thread title

lol at the cbeebies. (sexy) Rupert P-J reading the story about pumkin soup "this pumpkin soup isn't just pumpkin soup"

giraffescantdancethetango · 07/01/2009 18:59

Hiya, this just popped up in active convos, have skimmed thread and can't see this news mentioned so thought I would say Tallulah text me today and says twin2 out of intensive care and now in SCBU, so a step in the right direction.

Ekka · 07/01/2009 19:04

Daisy which doubles are you testing? I love mine & wouldn't swap it (though its heavy & only good if you have a HUGE car boot) but was considering seeing if we could get a 2nd-hand cheap one for if we go travelling anywhere....

LackaDAISYcal · 07/01/2009 19:14

thank giraffes, I hadn't checked my mobile today

That's great news about twin 2

OP posts:
LackaDAISYcal · 07/01/2009 19:17

Ekka I'm testing

Mamas and Papas Aria Twin+
Out'n'About Nipper 360
Graco Duosport
iCandy Pear
Jane Powertwin
MacLaren Twin Techno

DD is having a great time climbing in and out of them all. Her favourite is the Graco so far as she can shuffle between "bumble's side" and "Emmie's side".
