Fab news about DT2. No names yet?

Gonna sit tight Daisy and see what you think of the Maclaren. Graco looks good though - especially if you can get cosytoes

LittleMissNorty · 07/01/2009 19:19

I love my Maclaren single as well...

LittleMissNorty · 07/01/2009 19:21

Oohhh iCandy one looks odd - no wonder you need a demo ....need to take a pic with DS2 and DD in it and put it on FB

giraffescantdancethetango · 07/01/2009 19:32

Do have names now I think - well one of them does lol, but shall let her tell you that (tis a very nice name...although her DD1 name is the best...cos tis also my name )

LackaDAISYcal · 07/01/2009 19:55

there are 20 different combinations apparently with the iCandy . I hope the chap from iCandy realises he is dealing with a sleep deprived new mum who will forget everything he tells her as soon as the latch on the front door clicks

Good news for T2

NattyPlus2andAHalf · 07/01/2009 21:05

evening all

JammyQueenOfTheNewYear · 07/01/2009 21:21

Hi everyone
reat news about TB's DT!

JammyQueenOfTheNewYear · 07/01/2009 21:21

Should obviously be GREAT news

happynewRia · 07/01/2009 21:56

excellent news about DT2.

oh the irony, now got unexpected and V painful AF. there is a really bizarre connection between AF & DSs birthdays, last one before DS2 was born was on DS1s birthday. sorry if TMI. I am truly odd.

Ekka · 07/01/2009 22:31

Great news about DT2!

Daisy the icandy looks like a more complicated and shrunken version of our double (we have the ABC Zoom). I do like the fact the iCandy can be used as a single, which would be really handy when you're only taking one child out. But its a bit too cramped for my liking. I reckon the Mclaren is our best option, let me know what its like in real life!

LackaDAISYcal · 07/01/2009 22:50

Your double looks industrial strength ekka!

I love my Phil and Teds sport. Have you considered one of those? as it can be a single or a double as well, which has worked well for us on the days when I've been out with just me and DS2

arse to your painful AF Ria . Mine have gotten less painful with each subsequent child (although time will tell with this one)

happynewRia · 07/01/2009 22:51

oh, buger. I still have to wrap the birthday presents.

happynewRia · 07/01/2009 22:52

gg

hi daisy - off to read your post now, and then a bloody hot bath I think,

DH watching Top Gun. I know he will cry...

FestiveFairyFay · 08/01/2009 13:29

Hi everyone. We are finally back online. I've skimmed the thread but just can't read it all. Congratulations to Tallulah and Fury. I hope I haven't missed anything else major - pls enlighten me if I have.

I hope everyone is ok.

We are all moved in, although the house is still pretty choatic. DD had her first morning at new pre-school today. It went ok-ish, although I stayed with her - so the real test will be tomorrow when she has to stay on her own. DS has alos had us all up for an hour plus every night - no apparent reason, just shouting as not wanting to be asleep.

JammyQueenOfTheNewYear · 08/01/2009 13:35

Hi Fairy. Glad you're back online and that you're settling in at the new house.

I've cleaned the kitchen, done the shopping online and am now off to look at holidays

Ohforfoxsake · 08/01/2009 14:15

Congrats on the new house Fairy! Hope it is lovely

Hi Jammy, and anyone else lurking. Mighty quiet here today.

I'm hanging around waiting for gas man to finish with the boiler. Coldest days of the year and we've been without heating for 2 days.

LackaDAISYcal · 08/01/2009 14:28

i'm here...posting about bad latch and mastitis on the feeding boards.

i have received the iCandy pear.....tis a brute of a thing and rather innovative but not the pram for shy retiring types i fear as it is going to turn heads. no way am i taking it on the school run!

i've just switched on cbeebies and dd has stopped dead in her tracks at higgeldy house!

good luck in the new house fairy

Hi Daisy. You aren't still suffering are you?

LackaDAISYcal · 08/01/2009 14:59

what can i say foxy, I'm a martyr to the cause

probs all on left side (although latch bad on both), three lots of mastitis, several blocked ducts, a milk blister (that was a new one on me) and a really crappy latch where he can't maintain suction and twangs my nipple round his gums in a particularly painful way every three or four sucks.

I think his top lip frenulum is a bit tight whcih may be impacting on the feeding.

school wrestle with the impossibly long buggy run time.

later xx

JammyQueenOfTheNewYear · 08/01/2009 15:08

Jamlet just poured water from her cup down my chin and cleavage. Brrrrrrrr . Despite having functioning heating we don't have it on by day so our house is at around 13 degrees, so that water was cold! Was I mean to take the cup off her and pour a little on her forehead and nose?

LackaDAISYcal · 08/01/2009 16:09

watched a prgoramme about being green last night. According to them our house is overwarm at 20degrees. Comfortable was in the range 15-17 degrees. I'd be freezing at that so how you brave 13 degrees jammy I don't know!

Had another text from tallulah; she hopes to be getting home tomorrow. she sent the names too......shall I tell or let her do it when she gets on-line?

OP posts:
happynewRia · 08/01/2009 16:15

not fair that you know daisy! but I suppose you should let her tell us. But maybe she told you so you would tell us...

can you tell what sort of day I'm having?

JammyQueenOfTheNewYear · 08/01/2009 16:25

I didn't say I like it!! I'd love 17, but we have this rule about the heating. Apparently it is character building.

happynewRia · 08/01/2009 16:31

ours is nearer 20 when it's on (over that is DH does it)

I am having a crappy crappy day. Not had time to make the promised chocolate cake so feel like bad mummy. DH got chance to go and make desserts for the hotel so he's doing that later, rather than the fun evening we'd planned. went to collect something from a freecycle ad and the people weren't in, plus got abuse from their neighbour for slightly parking over their drive. Have just rung about a SW class tonight but now haven't the nerve to ask dsis to have DS1&2 at hers while I go, but I will keep putting it off. Pah.
