Evening all.

Thanks sooooo much to everyone for my parcel. It arrived this afternoon. Just love the Thing 1 & Thing 2 dolls & vests. Can't wait to see DT's in them. The big sis mug is just gorgeous too. It was so nice of you all & very much appreciated. Big thanks

It's all....funky!

Bumperslucious · 30/01/2009 09:16

Feeling v sorry for myself. Been up all night with a migrane and throwing up. Still feel ropey when I move my head. Can't cope with new mn or a toddler . DH on his way home. Bleugh, I think I'm going to be sick again.

TALLULAHBELLE · 30/01/2009 11:12

Oh don't like this - can we change it back?

Get well soon Bumper.

How are you Fury?

Take it easy Norty - almost there now!

HollyPutTheKettleOn · 30/01/2009 11:17

AAARRGRGGHHH!!! WTF! I don't like it!

LittleMissNorty · 30/01/2009 11:51

Oh Bumper.... hope you're back in bed and DH taken over....

I've lost all my threads I was watching....why do they bloody fiddle?

Tallulah - was your elective section ok.....I've just had my pre-op assessment and I think reality is hitting home

Ohforfoxsake · 30/01/2009 13:46

Hope you are OK Norty, last few days are hard.

I really like that cossie Jammy. Has a '50s look about it.

Happy holidays Daisy

Ohforfoxsake · 30/01/2009 13:48

and Bumper . I had my first proper migraine a few weeks ago and it freaked me out and made me feel terrible. I had no idea what they were really like. So big for you too. Hope you are feeling a little better.

Don't care if are very un-MN of me.

Ohforfoxsake · 30/01/2009 14:40

This new look is doing my head in. Is anyone else finding it much harder to read?

TALLULAHBELLE · 30/01/2009 14:46

Hi Norty - not sure I should tell you about my elective, it wasn't a very good experience & don't want to worry you as I've heard lots of people say that they had very positive experiences. Did you have an emergency sect with K ?

JammyQueenOfTheNewYear · 30/01/2009 14:57

I quite like the new look. Sorry.

LittleMissNorty · 30/01/2009 14:57

Yes I did T.....I only have one to get out, so hopefully shouldn't be too bad.

There are a few elective stories on my Feb thread which are ok, and 3 of us on Monday, so we're all panicking together ...just got to get on with I spose....will come out one way or the other.

One of our Feb ladies had 5 contractions and delivered her own baby in the final 2 yesterday (with her DH) and MWs turned up an hour later ....

Hope you're feeling better Bumper?

Anyone who wants to change click customise and choose mumsnet classic.

Bumper, that sounds terrible, hope you're feeling better now. I had a migraine when I was pg (at least I think it was, it was like nothing I'd ever known). All I could do was lie still in a dark room with a damp cloth over my eyes.

I had a terrible night here too, when I wasn't waking myself up with fever then DS woke me up. Luckily DH stuck around til 11 giving DD breakfast and sorting the house a bit . He is the only one without flu here but I'm a bit worried as he's due off on his travels on saturday for a week, I hope he doesn't suddenly come down with it once he's on the plane.

Bumperslucious · 30/01/2009 16:12

Hello

I'm feeling a lot better. DH came home and I was awful, couldn't move nor get comfy without feeling sick, my eyes hurt whether they were open or shut. Bloody migraleve didn't touch it. DH called NHS direct and they said to call the dr, who came out, manhandled me even though I clearly wanted to throw up, slammed the door shut after going to his car and woke DD up after I had said she was asleep, but gave me too injections which seem to have helped and I feel much better, but not out of bed yet. Now mostly my bum just hurts from the jabs. I'm so relieved, thought I was never going to feel better again!

Sputnik, hope you feel better soon, sorry you are on your own.

JammyQueenOfTheNewYear · 30/01/2009 16:22

Glad you have had some treatment Bumper, sorry about the form in took and the manner in which it was delivered.

HollyPutTheKettleOn · 30/01/2009 16:31

Goodness bumper, you poor thing. Glad you feel better now though. Sounds like a traumatic experience. Hope it stays away and hope you are resting now xx

And poor sputnik, hope you are ok and dh doesn't get it too.

My dp is a twunt. He has broken the bath! He tried to unblock the plughole and now it is leaking. I want a bath!

He has just gone to pick the new car up! Hurrah!

TALLULAHBELLE · 30/01/2009 18:17

Norty If you've had an emerg sect then an elective should be a breeze. I had such a bad time cos I had a very extreme reaction to the epidural, was in recovery for 5 hours, then vomited rings around myself all day & night as I couldn't tolerate the morphine. But you've done it all before so obviously will be OK with those things. I have found the recovery very slow & painful in comparison to DD's birth, but again you know what to expect. Also my wound is a bit infected which doesn't help. So on that cheery note, I wish you well .

TALLULAHBELLE · 30/01/2009 18:18

Hope you feeling better soon Bumper & Sputnik.

JammyQueenOfTheNewYear · 30/01/2009 18:54

I'm off out in 5 minutes. With 2 mum friends. And no DCs! And no DHs!

Sputnik · 30/01/2009 19:08

Glad you liked the thing1 and thing2 stuff Tallulah

HollyPutTheKettleOn · 30/01/2009 19:30

Have a lovely time jammy !
