nice title ria...

on the note of christmas, is no one going to secret santa with me then?? not had any info on whether im doing it or not!

JammyQueenOfTheSewers · 20/11/2008 07:34

I've not heard anything from anyone about joining SS Natty. Sorry!

LittleMissNorty · 20/11/2008 08:23

Morning all.....

I FF my DD....out of choice...and will be doing so again. I no longer post on "those" threads as I was given such a hard time about it on MN (not by anyone here, but others). But just to say, my choice of formula was based on recommendations of others, and I was told that the one I used was manufactured in the UK. This time, I'll be changing brands.....but only because my nursery have changed to only supplying one brand - so I may as well use that....they're all the same price...availability can vary though. Advertising and free soft toys don't do anything foe me, and I really don't see the point. DD was on stage 1 formula until 11 months, never used the progress or hungrier baby stuff.

Health professionals never offered any opinions one way or the other with regards to how I chose to feed my daughter, it was everyone else around me........without knowing my reasons....I do feel its very unfair how people are made to feel about it.

Right - enough said - hope it helps Holly.

sorry to hear all the shit that is going on with jobs etc.....hope it sorts itself soon....its pretty scary watching jobs going on a daily basis on the news etc...not the best time in the world to give up work for 11 months and earn next to nothing

Like Daisy a few days ago, I was worried everyone was abandoning us....you lot keep me sane . My Feb AN lot are very nice but I would hate for our June PN to disappear.

LittleMissNorty · 20/11/2008 08:26

Sorry I didn't join in with SS this year.....I can't get my hormone-addled brain into gear to organise anything this year, and with stopping work on 19th Dec, it would have been a recipe for disaster to add another thing to the list....and I wouldn't have been at all thoughtful or imaginative.....

educatingRia · 20/11/2008 09:39

Morning. Hi Norty.

Have a lunchtime to cover today, and am covering 2 staff. Tis too bloody cold to be stood on the playground. At least it's all the irritating (ie, TAs) staff that are off!

Need to be productive today

What's up Ria?

JammyQueenOfTheSewers · 20/11/2008 11:38

Natty - a way of getting you into Secret Santa has been made known to me I'm away for a long weekend from tomorrow, but I'll let you know Sunday night or Monday who you will be sending to.

educatingRia · 20/11/2008 11:41

DH went to bed again norty (but to be a little too), he is up again now. Oh I just wish he could get rid of the pain and get a job and be back to his old self

just bookmarking for late

am off to sleep while the bub is sleeping and DH and DD are out of the house for a few hours.

later xx

LittleMissNorty · 20/11/2008 14:25

Oh Ria - it must be so difficult....nothing about being ...I would feel the same...but as you say, a difficult situation all round. I know when my DH gets very stressed out about things, he won't talk to me cos he's worried I've already got enough on my plate, but doesn't understand it comes out in other ways (nightmares in his case) which worries me anyway .....vicous circles....

FrazzledFairyFay · 20/11/2008 18:48

Hi everyone.

Ria don't be , it must be really frustrating for you.

Same old, same old here. DD wet herself on the sofa and DS graffitied the walls with blue crayon in the nano second that I was out of the room.

MysticRedRanger · 20/11/2008 18:54

hello

thank you all very much for the presents. they are very nice. i like the transformer lots and lots and my DSis goes crazy for the eggs. mum liked the chocolates even though she thinks they might have been for dad

mum helped me type this but it's my words.

MysticRedRanger · 20/11/2008 18:57

Ria (daisy here ).

don;t be . I can understand how difficult it must be living with him being in pain all the time and that you want things to return to some semblance of normality. And it must be frustrating not being able to do anything to help.

right wanted to say that before I forgot....off to change back to my self as DS1 has gone to bed!!

JammyQueenOfTheSewers · 20/11/2008 18:57

Glad you like the presents MRR. Hope you like you DBro just as much!

Fairy - grrrrr on your behalf. All sounds very frustrating. Here, have a . And you too Ria!

OK, I've got 2 hours work to do, then need to put the bins out for collection tomorrow and pack clothes and stuff for going to my ILs tomorrow for the weekend. So See you all Sunday night!

LeakyDAISYcal · 20/11/2008 19:03

that's better

bugger on the crayon on the walls fairy! No doubt it was in a spot that you have just spruced up as well.

Jammy, he loves his little brother and can't wait till he's old enough so that he can take him fishing and teach him to fish.

I got DHs Christmas presents today.....apparently . He wanted some fishing kit, so I said go to the tackle shop, get what you want put aside and I'll go and buy it....so he just bought it himself today when he was in there looking. I'm a bit miffed as it won't really seem like a present from me since he has paid for it himself. Still he gets what he wants and I get spared the trip to a maggoty, smelly fishing shop (and I don't need to spend any money )

FrazzledFairyFay · 20/11/2008 19:03

Thanks Jammy, don't work too hard and have fun at your ILs.

You are welcome MRR, so glad you liked it

Daisy, feel free to interpret who things were aimed for, however suits YOU best

HollyWeen · 20/11/2008 19:04

ria, poor dh. It must be so upsetting to see him so down. Hope he can get something done about it soon.

Hi fairy, my ds is very pen happy too. He got into dp's golf bag yesterday, got his permanent ball marker pen out and drew all over the bag. Dp is NOT happy! If I'd have known boys would be such trouble I wouldn't have bothered !! He's a good laugh, but such hard work. Oh dear, he's just realised I'm sat down, so is climbing on me and lifting my top up. No prizes for guessing what he wants!

My formula advertising thread got taken over by tiktok and people got offended, so I've left it. It really annoys me that I can't just ask people's opinions on something without the thread descending into a bun fight!

Thanks for posting about your experiences fairy, norty, ria and natty. I really appreciate it.

LeakyDAISYcal · 20/11/2008 19:04

oh, and my new HV came today......and didn't want to weigh DS2 (she said he looks just fine), and was very good re her advice on my latching issues and thrush. Wonders will never cease

FrazzledFairyFay · 20/11/2008 19:06

It was the one bit of the lounge that I had repainted, and the reason it needed repainting is because it is the bit he constantly makes grubby. The crayon thing today was a first though. It all came off with one of those magic eraser thingies, but I was not best pleased.

A free xmas present sounds good to me, at least you know he'll like it

LeakyDAISYcal · 20/11/2008 19:06

fairy.....although to be fair I did let him have one chocolate share

HollyWeen · 20/11/2008 19:06

Awwww, bless MRR, I love him!!

A useful HV? How wonderful! You should give her a medal!

FrazzledFairyFay · 20/11/2008 19:08

Oh dear Holly, I can imagine he wasn't best pleased, but then he must have left it somewhere where DS could find it so ........ By the same logic, it was my fault that my walls got crayoned.

That's exactly why I won't post on the feeding boards, and don't have them on my active convos list. People get so nasty.

A nice, human HV? Surely not

NattyTomAndEllen · 20/11/2008 19:12

jammy thanks for that, i need something to distract me from my woes (yes poor poor me )
ellens nappies came in post today, i been having fun trialing them out..
i had docs for bloods at 10am this morning, then i had to go to the council about the 2 and half grand they reckon we owe them, then i had hosptial for my scan, (nothing to see too early apparently.. dang!) booked in for another one on the 4th.
then i had some dinner whilst out, popped in a few shops on my annual xmas card hunt, and came home in time to put kids to bed.
oh and now im in bed with a cuppa and a slice of homemade cake (which DC made yesterday.. well 'helped')
is it sad to be in bed at 7pm?

bad bit of the day was dealing with toms episodes in the council, shopping center, and then twice at home b4 bed.
i was shaking so badly with suppressed anger by the time i got him to stop screaming and get into bed, i feel awful and that i let him get to me, but its hard, espes when the ppl from council asked me to keep him quiet. i told her he was special needs and nothing short of a tranqualiser gun would work
oh dear... my mommy halo is slipping
