bu t do u think that will be too grown up for him.. dunno if it will be tough enough neither, he throws things when he is angry

educatingRia · 21/11/2008 22:42

here natty.

would you get respite funding if DS was over 3 then? When I was at the pkayscheme it seemed that the families were getting it free because they needed it. But it is 15+ years ago so it was maybe different then.

I am scared - DH is singing and there's just been a clip of the original Ken+Deidre(sp?)+Mike showdown thing on Corrie - I vididly remember being a small child (5 - sorry) and being terrified when DM & Dg watched that.

I love Paul Young though...

perhaps buy a normal cheap one, or see if there's any going on Freecycle?

Ohforfoxsake · 21/11/2008 22:45

I can't watch this anymore. My oldest friend is texting me about it, saying it was soooo long ago. It was still 5 years before she and I met!

And this is 1996 isn't it?

I'm taking my old, wrinkly arse to bed. Night all xx

educatingRia · 21/11/2008 22:50

it is foxy. I had no children in 1996 and a twat for a bf, so maybe not...

OP posts:
NattyTantrumAndEarAche · 21/11/2008 22:56

educatingRia · 21/11/2008 23:00

is thisany help natty? maybe you've seen it already. Don't want you to suffer alone.

I'll be here a while yet. Sorry!

OP posts:
educatingRia · 21/11/2008 23:04

I'm not sleeping either. It's all this bloody healthy eating and exercise. Makes me short tempered. Especially with DS2s game of "jump on the sleeping mummy" and DHs "tireder than thou" mood swings. I have weird dreams, or the other night I had a nightmare like Jammys, but luckily I can't remember exact details.

there's a few CD players on ebay natty. kids mini cds of nursery rhymes and stuff.

Think I'm off too - Eddie Izzard on TV. I'm much more at home now. Just have to remember to pass out before DH remembers he's (maybe) on a promise!

talking of nightmares.. i had an awful dream my baby was born in the cab on the way to hospital (happened to my mum) but because of the GBS baby died
pregnancy does CRAZY things to ur mind

educatingRia · 21/11/2008 23:36

pregnancy and having children does things to your mind. I'm sure I had nightmares before being PG with DS1 (probably because I was depressed long before I got married), but they have continued since and are worse. Tis not fair. PG and when LO tiny have been worst (ie, waking with sore throat because I've been "crying" in dream, happening more frequently), but every so often they creep up on you

snow snow snow
DH is taking the boys for a walk.
I am braving DS1s room in an attempt to make it fit for human habitation.
Then I will study and do list making.
Happy day

Hello
Am very of your snow Ria!

Hope you are all ok. Natty sorry you are having such a tough time. A CD play sounds like a great idea, or even a tape player. DD is getting a tape player for Christmas, we got one from the NCT sale for a pound! I'm sure she is probably a bit too young but she is a gadget girl like her dad!

TALLULAHBELLE · 22/11/2008 12:25

Ah - here you are. Off to catch up.

educatingRia · 22/11/2008 13:01

bored now. waiting for DS1 to sort some stuff out before I do any more.

still snowing. darned cold too.

Hi Tbelle. How are you?

TALLULAHBELLE · 22/11/2008 18:09

Sorry Ria, missed you whilst was reading the thread. Have forgotten most of it too!

Glad you liked your pressie Daisy. Shame about TV crew not coming.

Holly very brave of you to venture into bf/ff threads. I just wouldn't dare. Still sounds like you got some good insight on here.

Sorry things so hard Natty. Suppose your GP/ HV no help?

Ohforfoxsake · 22/11/2008 18:58

Snow??!!!! Lucky you!

Hi T. How are you doing?

Natty, the only other thing I could come up with is to really, really big up the positive behaviour and made a huuuuuge deal of his best things.

Bumper, how's the book?

FrazzledFairyFay · 22/11/2008 19:06

[green] of snow. Just blooming freezing here

Natty, I'm SO sorry you are having such a rough time at the moment. I really wish I could offer you advice.

I am a rugby-widow today. Dh has gone to Twickenham, and last time he went he came in at 10pm, woke up DS who was awake for 2 hours. Dh then kept me awake most of the night by chundering violently every half an hour all night - Oh joy

TALLULAHBELLE · 22/11/2008 19:32

Hi Foxy/ Fairy. Not been great here, lots of odd pains, maybe BH's but never had them before so not sure. I had my 32 week scan Tues & left with a bit of a dilemma. DT1 head down, DT2 breech. Said I could go for 'trial of labour' & that DT2 could be delivered bum first. Alternative is elective @ 38 wks. But consultant did state 'we deliver @ 38 weeks' so guess if haven't gone into spontaneous labour before then they would expect to induce me. Not keen on that either. All a bit of a worry, had hoped for as little intervention as poss. Am going back to see consultant in 2 weeks to discuss things once I have had a chance to think about it.

FrazzledFairyFay · 22/11/2008 19:35

Hi TB. That does sound like a hard decision.

Ohforfoxsake · 22/11/2008 19:36

Sounds like you need the wisdom of MN for that T! Will you start a thread to see if anyone else has had the same?

FrazzledFairyFay · 22/11/2008 19:55

I went to a stove shop and it looks like we won't be getting our wood burner. The fireplace opening is too small to fit a stove into and the existing hearth is too narrow to put a wood-burner on, without extending it, which would be hard and expensive as we have wooden floors under the carpet.

We could remodel the chimney, etc but it is going to be long, complicated and very expensive. So, it looks like I'll have to make-do with a fake electric version instead.

Ohforfoxsake · 22/11/2008 19:57

Is your house on the market now Fairy?

Wonder how Fury's housing situation is going.
