SalLikesCoffee · 02/10/2008 15:13

Peachy · 02/10/2008 15:36

Paid yer blardy dues???? Sam (almost 8) was around at 2am this mrning, swapping beds with Harry who was also about..... buggers! Ye knows nowt let me tell yer

(note the native zumerzet when am tired.... I can do RP most of the time, tired and it goes out the window!)

Bas fights sleep too- actually hits himself on the head. bright huh?

scorpio1 · 02/10/2008 15:39

Well

both ds were up at 3 last night watching the farking telly

its coming out of their room now i swear it

buggers

Peachy · 02/10/2008 15:45

Mine havent got one

well sort of

they have one wired to a DVD but dh took it out for some reasn and forgets to wire back in- poor lads!

I want it put in the playroom really.

scorpio1 · 02/10/2008 15:47

dh insisted they had one, i wasnt too keen but didnt feel strongly enough about it to lay the law down so they had one...they plug it back in if i unplug it, the gits.

SalLikesCoffee · 02/10/2008 15:49

Same here - I have to put a teddy with him in bed, as he keeps poking himself in the eye with his dummy (which he has to have just so that he can pull it out and start with the attack) otherwise. But with the teddy - I have to "anchor" it (basically squeeze head through cot bars), else he hits himself on the head with it, continuously. Where oh where are the 10-minute to bed days?

Denny185 · 02/10/2008 22:10

Hello Scorpio glad your puter is fixed. Remove the plug, they wont be able to do much with it then If DD1 had a Tv in her room we would never see her shes bad enough having to share the one downstairs.

Sal glad R ok now, scary stuff eh.

We have new windows and doors, came downstairs this am to a warm house, think its going to take an age to get cleared up again though. Managed to do the whole of upstairs yesterday as mum had dc for me but today didnt even finish one room without one squwarking and the other 'mummying'.

Harvest festival tomorrow, gone are the days of shoe boxes, our school want cash cheeky feckers.

EllieG · 02/10/2008 22:23

Can babies eat aubergine? Might be nice all baked and mushy but is never on lists of 'first foods'

Denny185 · 02/10/2008 22:30

I think so its not on the 'dont give' list.

LadyBee · 02/10/2008 22:34

oops, I caught up and posted on the old thread..can't be arsed repeating myself.

SalLikesCoffee · 02/10/2008 22:54

Read your post on other thread Ladybee. Hope B is sleeping ok and no cramps. It's probably just the way their digestive system adjusts - when I switched formula once he took a day or two to get used to it.

Thanks for the support re R - yes, he's fine now, though still very tired and cry-y. Poor thing, it'll probably take a couple of days for him to be back to his usual self. I've made an appointment with his paed on Monday for an overall check. I know this is probably silly, but I'd rather not take him on an 11hr flight without having had someone check him out.

Denny, your renovations make me feel guilty, as I deserted our room redecoration half-way through last week, so it's still looking like a building site. I considered cancelling tomorrow night's babysitting as don't want to leave R alone just yet, but then felt guilty as it's a regular appointment so she bargains on this income. Have now decided I'll stay in with babysitter playing with R while I paint the walls. Hmm, my "date nights" are really not going well!

SalLikesCoffee · 02/10/2008 23:14

Oooh, ooooh, and just so you all know, I am righteous (ignoring the obvious insult and preferring to take it as my compliment of the day, lol.)

I've got it in black and white - where's that printer when I need it???

(Am babbling, off to bed now - from some silly thread that got a bit out of control):

"... SalLikesCoffee...

I think you should give up the coffee and have something a bit stronger, because you are so rightous!!!!!!!!!!"

Hehehe, I miss work today.

MommyHasaHeadache · 03/10/2008 10:30

OMG Sal!!! Poor R! Poor you! What a fright that must have given you. I was almost in tears reading that. How scary. Glad he is okay now. Poor little man. I def agree with you getting him checked out before you go. I am sure he will be fine, but for peace of mind it is worth it.

Weaning starts for Gigi in 2 weeks time. A bit nervous I have to say! Reading everything I can get my hands on about the subject so I am 100% prepared when the time comes! She is def showing signs (only at night strangely) of being more hungry. I do hope that once the weaning begins, that she will sleep through the night as I am still waking up for her (only once, but still!)

I did a Body Pump class (a weight lifting class) yesterday - and OMG are my legs feeling it today! They shake everytime I go up and down the stairs! LOL Today was meant to be yoga, but the receptionist booked Gigi in the wrong section of creche (over 2's instead of under 1's) and so now I can't go cos there is no space for Gigi. Oh well - might go for a walk instead seeing as the sun is making a rare appearance. Have my post natal group this arvie - shame the HV invited 20 and last week (the 1st one) and only 3 of us pitched! I hoping there will be a few more faces today!

VictorianSqualor · 03/10/2008 10:45

Ha, I saw that Sal.
I've started a blog about weaning and when it should be done. Mainly because of the farce going on on the BOUNTY pages where people are weaning at 7 weeks and BOUNTY keep bannning those of us trying to give people the correct info but allowing an 'early weaners club' to continue

Those of you who have started weaning early but with paed support/advice etc would any of you be happy to write a post about it so I can put it on there? Just so I can show the way early weaning should be done and not be all one-sided? You can email me at fan-fkn-tastic @ hotmail .co .uk
