Well, am stuffed after my huge lunch. Don't know how I managed to function especially after the glass of Blossom Hill. Went to Tescos tonight and not bottles of BH left Went into shake mode but then spotted the cardboard 4 bottle equivalent for £14.99. Lasts 6 weeks once opened 4 bottles lasting 6 weeks?

Annie-not too harmonious in the Annie house poor you. Don't know how any of you cope with your little ones in your bed. Hope, hope, hope things get better soon.

Bloss-you are not a bad mum at all. Coming back from Longleat Sophie was screaming quite alot so tried passing her pink bunny, drinks and biccies but she kept pushing them away. She finally fell asleep through exhaustion. Anyway, it was only when I got her home and changed her nappy that I saw a poo half in and half out of her bottom so of course as soon as I undid the nappy it was able to come fully out. I felt dreadful about it. She must have been in pain. Pleased you had some quality time with your boys.

Lysettes-nice Christmas name. Why can't I think of anything that goes with HumphreysCorner

On the subject of MIL's I am getting on so well with mine at the moment so long may it last. Have even invited them for tea on Sunday-well they will be her all day anyway as FIL helping DH block pave.

Have a good weekend all.

bloss not shite at all! you don't know it was there from then at all, didn't you pick him up the first time? I had a similar thing with jacob the other week, but he actually did the massive pee that tipped him over while i was holding him, but in my half awake state i didn't realise straight away

he has also started waking at around 1230, so he gets a cuddle and medised straight away and then he generally goes back till 730ish.

think there's another tooth on the way - had to calpol AND ibuprofen him this afternoon, but at least he's eating again...

can't believe how crap friday night tv is! DH is at firms christmas party, I've had the chinese food and I'm so tired i might just go to bed!!!

Blossomingintoachristmasfairy · 08/12/2007 09:16

Iwas in bed by 9pm last night, had to Sky + Rebus, as was so tired. Just as well as H was up twice with his cough and T woke up at 2.30am for milk. Nice little habit I have allowed to develop there

Going out tonight for a big girls night out but hubbies coming too, really don't want a hangover tomorrow so willw atch the intake but the worst thing will be the sleep deprivation. Moan moan. Looking forward to the days when I can enjoy Christmas late night functions without panicking over how much of my sleep time they eat into...

Have the Chiropodist today, deep joy!

Oh well, got a lie in till 8am, so that was good. And it will be reallly nice to see my friends tonight.

Have great weekends all.

Bloss

Lystettes glad to hear you use Medised as a first resort too, I go through bottles of the stuff....

Morning all

I feel weird this morning as it's ds2's 12th birthday. All the emotions come flooding out on any of their birthdays(i am a wuss lol). You know thinking of being pg with them and the birth etc.
Also makes me realise i am getting older

Eilidh has finally got over the chicken pox but is a wee bit under the weather with her jabs from last Monday.

My Scottish meet up is this Saturday and i am bricking it!! I have met one of the Mner's in RL and we meet for coffee sometimes. She has met a couple of the others and says they are really nice so i am sure it'll be a good night.

Dd2 is awake so better dash xx

santaspregnantlittlehelper · 10/12/2007 11:16

agalch happy birthday ds2!

Morning all

Happy B'Day to your DS agalch.

Bloss-hope your not hooning too much today.

Have been wrapping this morning-it has really been getting on my mind as I have usually done by now. Have been poorly over the weekend with a chesty cold/cough. Now Sophie is getting another cold.

Emma has lost her PE gear-gggrrrhhh!!! Hope I don't have to buy any more if it is not found.

Better drink my cuppa then fetch Emma.

Love to all

santaspregnantlittlehelper · 10/12/2007 17:31

frosty am half way through wrapping. dh will be at work till a reasonable time tonight so can get more done then i think.

no bad thing he's working longer hours at the moment - massive arguments yesterday and this morning because he is so farking unhelpful and critical at the moment. i know i'm pg and have no tolerance but how irritating is it when someone takes the rubbish out and then doesn't put another bin bag in the bin???? that's just the tip of the iceberg

jacob is running all over the place now - cue lots of bangs on his head and lots of wailing.

also any advice anyone on tantrums??? we have back arching, wailing and big tears if we don't get our own way (that's jacob not dh btw!)

FrostyTheSnowman · 10/12/2007 21:48

Fanfare...............

Sophie walked tonight!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Little madam won't do it to order though, just giggles and buckles at the knees.

santaspregnantlittlehelper-you do not need this hassle do you? Is it work getting DH down do you think? As for Jacob-when Emma did that we just left her to it and ignored her as there was no reasoning with her. One time in TK Max (about 18 months old I think) she had one of her 'moments' and laid on the floor screaming because she couldn't get her own way. Everyone stared at us as they had to step over her. Face-bovered? Infact, DH once tried lying on the floor having a tantrum like in that advert but it didn't work.

Love to all. My throat and chest are v. sore so off to dose up and go to bed shortly.

Beadmum · 10/12/2007 23:08

hc - congrats to sophie

Lysette - i tend to just ignore charlotte when shes having a 'moment' and she soon gives up shes getting to be quite a madam these days, why are they called the terrible twos? is it because theres much worse to come when they turn two

santaspregnantlittlehelper · 11/12/2007 10:22

o'h god i hope it doesn't get too much worse although i know it's going to! he's so strong willed.... ignoring i think is the best approach and i do tend to try that one!

sophie that's brilliant!!! we are all so proud of you

frosty, i certainly don't need it, and we had a long talk about it yesterday and i think he does realise that i have no tolerance at the moment and that i actually can't really help it. PILs get here in about a week and a half so at least i will get some rest when they are having all their time with jacob

where is everyone else????

ceebee74 · 11/12/2007 10:49

Sorry - have not been on for ages but am spending more time on a TTC board but I promise to spend more time on here too. I am still reading this thread every day but never seem to get a chance to post.

Will catch up later but just wanted to say hi and that I have not forgotten you all

Lysette - I am quite fortunate (touch wood) that Josh doesn't seem to have tantrums as such - if he can't get his own way, he throws his head back dramatically and looks at the ceiling and whinges - almost as if he is appealing to a 'higher being' for help in getting what he wants - it is extremely funny to watch!

Hi Girls

Well done to Sophie there'll be no stopping her now...!

This is just a quickie to say hi - don't know where the time is going at the mo. I don't know when I ever had time to do any work that's for sure!

Got a nasty hangover headache caused by going out with my ex-workmates last night, good time had by all but overdid it a bit on the wine (and I seem to remember having a cocktail for 'dessert' urgh)

Emma's fine apart from two enormous bruises on her forehead, she did the first one at home just generally falling over as she does, the second more serious one she got at nursery falling off a chair, poor wee thing came home with a big egg on her forehead . Also completely knackered as she absolutely refuses to sleep when she's there. May have to reconsider her hours I think as full days are very difficult when she won't sleep, she comes home completely spun out which she never used to.

Am still studying away on the web course in between serious shopping and ebaying - I guess I'll have to think properly about some freelance work in the new year but really enjoying not working at the mo.

Hi to everyone (hope the hooning's improving Bloss ). Need to get on and sort out some pics for distributing to the parents and IL's at Christmas, but will do some proper catch up posts later on. Hope the weather's as good with everyone as it is here, have good afternoons xxx

AnnieOneDrinkingSnowballs · 11/12/2007 14:20

Hi Girls!

Ah, it's an f... Knew it was something like that!

Well done SOPHIE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Just a quickie
A major improvement in sleeping arrangements. We have cut some of her wet wraps up and made some for her hands, so scratching is more or less impossible for her. Which means, she sleeeeeeeeeeeeps a lot better, though still wakes four or five times for milk, and wants to come in our bed. These habits are the next to be tackled. I don't mind her in the bed so much when she sleeps, it was when she was pushing and pulling and shoving and screaming that drove me bonkers.

Hi to everyone, gotta get on with it, since I'm on a two day week this week! YAay!

x
She goes to sleep fairly well in her cot, I just wander in and out several times, and she's happy to drop off herself. Until 11pm comes along....

Anyway, at least it's a step in the right direction.

AnnieOneDrinkingSnowballs · 11/12/2007 14:21

Oops a bit of a stray cursor there...

santakbaby · 11/12/2007 15:05

My xmas dec?s have only been up 2 days and DS has already managed to break my NOEL words from the mantelpiece. Ive glued the O together and have added a bit of ribbon to the missing part, so hopefully no one will notice. That boy is so cheeky and into everything, he does something funny, laughs and then calls you to watch him do it again while laughing.

Took DS to see santa, he didn?t cry but gave him a very unsure look. The picture is very serious.

Ds was awake crying last night and just wouldn?t settle in our bed so after 30 mins he got put back in his cot and we just went in a few times. Took him to gp?s today though and he has a ear infection so maybe that was the problem or it could be the 4 molars coming through together. DD is now playing nurse and apparently he has a ?reflection? and has to have medisen and an injection. Hes been a brave boy and is ?fabnificent? !!!
Think shes getting her words a bit muddled bless her.

Bloss- I dream of the teenage years where I have to drag them out of bed at 11am. How that seems so far away when its only 7am on a Saturday morning and I feel like weve been up for hrs.

Have spent my week on the sick doing the IL?s a DVD of DD from the day she was born to her 1st day at school, its got pictures set to some music. Im very proud of it as its taken ages but it looks fab, also get quite teery watching it.

Santa?s helper- No advice on the tantrums sorry as DS is being exactly the same and has a terrible temper.

Spin- She can count to 3!!!!! Crikey DS says about 3 words, she really is clever

santaspregnantlittlehelper · 11/12/2007 17:49

spin that's amazing! jacob doesn't really say much although understands a lot more - he knows where the baby is and if you say it enhough times he will say baaaaayyyby, but won'r remember it for next time. and lol at flirting with the swimming instructor!

not much else that i can think of to tell you except i'm growing by the day and it's all out front, so at least i'm neat(ish)!

ceebee74 we have our fingers and toes crossed for you!

xxx

santaspregnantlittlehelper · 11/12/2007 17:50

o'h last thing jacob's latest fashion craze is his top half on and half off - one arm in and the other one pulled out with it hanging over his shoulder like a toga.....

and he's giggling away at paul o'grady on the tv...

Blossomingintoachristmasfairy · 11/12/2007 19:14

evening all.

Congrats Sophie!

Hooning is much improved this week, mainly as I haven't been so tied to the office. Had Mon avo off! to take H to a Christmas woods walk and today I have been eating Christmas lunch and quaffing red wine in a swanky hotel in Mayfair at a corporate do, so was able to drop boys later and pick them up earlier. I knew I was missing work for a reason!

Really enjoying it so far but this is the easy bit - it's going to get tough when the grace period of being new is over...

The boys have settled in brilliantly at nursery, I would even go as far as to say Toby is happy there! So relieved...

Suppose I had better start writing some Chrimble cards, yawn. Liverpool on the telly tonight deep joy - my suggestion that DH watch it upstairs so that I can attempt to watch some of the stuff I have Skyplussed was met with a "dream on". Such a charmer I married.

Bloss

xx

Blossomingintoachristmasfairy · 11/12/2007 19:16

...and...(whisper it)....both boys have slept till 7ish the last two mornings! Had to go in and wake Toby up on Monday! Have of course now totally jinxed it for tomorrow but had to share............

ceebee74 · 11/12/2007 19:20

Spin - OMG, counting up to 3, that is fantastic - she is so very clever. Like the others (who all seem to be boys aswell ), Josh understands SO much more than he can say. He has about 10 words - but only 2 (mama and dog) would be understandable by anyone other than me and DH.

Kbaby - if it makes you feel better my christmas tree had been up about 1 hour before Josh broke a bauble - he seems to think they are balls for throwing

Lysette - lol at Jacob wearing a toga - they are so funny aren't they? Josh keeps wandering round whilst lifting both his trouser legs upto his knees - like he is just about to go paddling in the sea - although it invariably ends up with him falling down as it obviously affects his balance! Thanks for the good luck vibes - I had forgotten how torturous TTC is - all this waiting and counting down days - absolute agony!!

Right must go and put Josh to bed - have good evenings all x

ceebee74 · 11/12/2007 19:25

Bloss - must be something in the air about sleeping late - me and DH both slept till 7.45 this morning and realised that Josh was still asleep then too . Normally it is 7 (so nowhere near as bad as your normal mornings) but still fantastic!! Although it did make me nearly late for my gym class Long may it continue.....

Btw, Josh also loves it at nursery too - he always seems happy on a Wednesday morning when we pull up and practically throws himself in to the arms of the staff - in fact, if and when I do get pg, then I am going to carry on taking him to nursery for the 3 days a week whilst I am on maternity leave as he gets SO much out of it that he doesn't get at home - like constant entertainment

FrostyTheSnowman · 11/12/2007 20:32

Blimey-you have been busy. Lol at you on the TTC thread more than here. I am as guilty as you

spin-lovely to hear your news. Clever Roshi, she really does take after you.

Bloss-glad work is going well. Hope your new colleagues are looking after you!

Lysettes-hope today has been a touch more chilled. Make use of those IL's.

santakbaby-we are going for Sunday Lunch with Santa on Sunday 16th so hoping Sophie doesn't cry. Emma is still unsure of him.

First-you dirty stopout you!

Better go as DH and Emma are now home.

Love to all

Hi all!

Am back from my dirtiness (which was pretty tame really ;-) Couldn't believe how upset I got at leaving Ryan and how much I missed him. Such a wuss! Had a lovely romantic time though - went to new champagne bar in St Pancras and glugged mulled wine at the xmas fair at Hyde Park Corner, watching the skaters.... all v dreamy. But v happy to get back to my little boy.... he seems to have changed so much in three days! Doesn't look like a baby anymore. Guess it's his molars coming though - changing the shape of his face....

Thx for sympathy, Spin - I shoulda got the harddrive back from them - it never occurred to me to ask. Doh. Roshie is such a star!! What a genius! Ry just sounds like he's speaking Arabic most of the time.... (maybe he is...?!)

Were those sounds of sobbing that you heard from the travellodge, Annie?! I missed Ry soooo much it was pathetic. Then I broke down again yesterday when I got home and his face lit up and he ran into my arms. Wimp!
Poor you with the sleep and scratching issues. Finger's crossed the soft water works...

Sorry you're ill again HC - that's too much man! Hurrah at Sophie walking!!! She'll be running rings around you in no time.

Grrr at your DH Lysette. Hope he snaps out of it soon and gives you the help and care you need.... And as to the tantrums, distraction seems the best thing with Ry - he usually forgets what he was making a big fuss about after two seconds!

Woooo CB! On the TTC boards! Methinks a dirrrrrty weekend is in order for you too! LOL at Josh appealing to a higher being!!! Hilarious!

Poor old Emma, First. I hate it when they hurt themselves - even though it's nothing serious. Shame she won't sleep at nursery. Ry manages an hour there at least... then he's begging for his bed by 7.

Talking of which - need to head to mine now... v tired and soo looking forward to getting back to my own bed (I gave it over to my in-laws last Wednesday while I camped on the sofa either side of being in London...). In-laws left this morning and thanked me for letting them look after Ryan! They're so sweet!.

Right, really outta here! Hugs to all. Impy xxx
