Sexonlegs · 16/11/2007 16:42

Hi ladies, hope you have all had lovely days.

SMB, did you get your water back on? I hate being without water.

NL, hope you find the house of your dreams. I have the same philosophy, and believe in fate. There is a house out there with your name on it!

Forgotten everything else!

My sore throat has turned in to a stinker of a cold and my head really is mush.

Nowt much going on here. Dh back late though as he is in Dublin. Why they have to make these meetings on a Friday is anyone's guess!

Right, need to start thinking about tea for the girlies. Back later. x

CaptainDippy · 16/11/2007 18:26

DH in the bath with girlies. Hello!

to yukky cold SOL, hope DH is back soon xx

Have fun with your sis, octo and you with your family, NB.

How's the water situation, SPB?

I've left my front door open a couple of times now, Eddas - so it's not just you honey!!

Eddas · 16/11/2007 18:28

Just applied for dd's primary school I had 5 minutes and dh and I have discussed which schools so did it online and it took mintues, fab! Now all I have to do is wait for end March/beginning of April to see where she gets offered a place. The fun of school has begun, nearly

Right off to get ready for this bloomin quiz night. Hope there's not a really poor turnout. Could be embarrassing. Oh well, it's bring a bottle so if I drink enough it'll double the people in the room

liath · 16/11/2007 19:25

BWI your GP sounds like a pompous ill-informed tosser. That sort of thing makes me so cross.

SMB - good luck with the move!

Very of the Take That tickets - not that I was much of a fan but I bet they'll put on a great show.

Oh heck I've forgotten everything else - hope everyone with lurgies feels better soon. We've all been ill here, yuk.

Will try and sort out the secret santa recipients etc tonight !

oooggs · 16/11/2007 19:42

TAKE THAT TICKETS........

PillockOfTheCommunity · 16/11/2007 19:42

bloomin heck it's been quiet here today

have to say I had a giggle at the idea of a very young baby making the water board act quicker, last time we had a leak was the morning I went into labour and they were in no huurry at all when I told them most inconciderate!

Hope you feel better soon too sol

Manly back pat for ellie - wehat happened at weekend?

eddas am still at how much your dc look alike. Dp thinks its the same child just in different clothes and with a wig on! Good luck with quiz thing. Oh and good luck on the whole slippery slope to dd starting school.

Dippy hope P's doing better. I know what you mean about bugs doing the rounds, thats how I lost my job a few years ago cos dc were getting ill 1 after the other and couldnt go childminder.

Apologies to everyone ive missed.

Well I had quite a good day yesterday, breakfast at costas and dp bought me a new top in the sale. Pub lunch with dps nan and grandad which was actually better than I'd expected and d was very good. Then dp cooked tea and we watched harry potter with the kids and ate tesco's finest banoffee pie which is gorgeous btw! So not such a good day for my diet Evening was not so good though, d fed continually from half 6 till 10 and still wouldnt go to sleep so i got dp to get him to sleep. He's been doing some pretty impressive projectile vomiting and off his food abit. At first I thought it was tummy bug that dp, ds1 and dd have all had and now he has a bad cold. He's not eating nearly as much as he was so I'm wondering if its reflux coming back. He was sick twice in bed this morning although he had gone through from 11.15pm when dp finally managed to get him to sleep till 6.15 this morning so could have been he drank too much too quick. This afternoon he was sick all down my front and was really screaming so I took him to bed and lay down and fed him and we both fell asleep and slept from 11.50 till 2.50 He has never slept that long in the day. He's really not well though and nor am I I have horrid cold and sinuses really blocked and hurting. Still at least it waited till today!

Told dd last night to pach her bag to go to xps and she burst into tears, got genuinely upset and said she didnt want to go she wanted to stay and be with me. I told her to sleep on it but this morning she was still upset at thought of going. Says she still wants to go another time but this weekend just wants to be with me. i texted xp and told him what she'd said without actually saying whether i thought she should stay or go (although no way was i going to force her to go with their visits still being quite a new thing and him living SO far away) and his wife texted back and said thats fine tell her we love her and we'll see her soon. Bit that he didnt want to discuss it more or have anything else to say about it. And a bit that its always his wife who texts me and not him. But relieved he didnt argue and its nice to have dd here although I am now quite confused, normally she cant wait to go. Perhaps the novelty is wearing off.

PeshaCake · 16/11/2007 19:59

I had no idea how much id written

Sexonlegs · 16/11/2007 20:08

Blimey Pesha! A post and a half. I am so sorry, I have not had the time/energy to sort your CV. I have made a few minor changes, and will finish it off next week if that is ok. Tbh, it is not bad at all my lovely.

Well dh got home in good time, and now waiting for curry to cook.

xxxx

StealthPolarBear · 16/11/2007 20:16

Hi everyone

PeshaCake · 16/11/2007 20:27

SOL no rush at all - it took me several months from first mentioning it to actually sending it to you! Honestly take as long as you want Thank you

BWI just wrote you a post on the acorns thread.

Hi spb

underwire · 16/11/2007 20:47

Evening all. Well, my job application is in, so now I will just have to wait and see! Should get an interview as I meet all the essential requirements but I interview really badly Will just have to make sure I am really well prepared if I get that far!
Diet has been going pretty well this week so far and I really do feel better not eating so much crap.

Octo, hope you have a good weekend and that you feel better too

Eddas, v of your TT tickets! I LOVE Gary Barlow

NorthernLurker · 16/11/2007 20:53

Impressive post Pesha! Much sympathy for the vomiting/screaming. It is grim when they won't /can't go to sleep isn't it?

Pretty good day here. Dd2 had another little friend to play after school - once again no bother and all ate up tea - which is always a relief. DD1's turn on Monday.
Still feeling positive re house - thanks for all the kind thoughts. We are trying to view another tomorrow - but the agents for it seem pretty useless and unable to speak to the vendors...when I rang this afternoon they said they wern't even sure if it was still on the market
Farmers Market in toen today - I got yummy sausages, the biggest cauliflower any of you have ever seen and home-made cakes for feeding to afore-mentioned little friend

Liath - re the secret santa - I would love absolutely anything except earrings as my ears are a hole free zone I'm very excited about the whole thing actually. Love Christmas - don't think it's sunk in yet that this year I've got three lovely girls to buy for. Honestly - you would think I would catch on after 7 months wouldn't you ?

Good luck with the job UW

Hello to everyone else - is it jolly cold where you are?

elkiedee · 16/11/2007 21:04

Hi all

Had my hands full when we got back from swimming after our marathon bus journeys, with a grizzly baby. He's been asleep for a while now though.

I'm feeling cold and a bit tired and emotional.

A pat on the back for pillock, and Pesha, hope that you and D feel better soon.

NorthernLurker · 16/11/2007 21:12

Elkie - are you in need of a hug {{{{{hug}}}}} - here have this one - I had it hanging around

underwire · 16/11/2007 21:19

Elkie, get your pj's on, fluffy slippers and a mug of hot choc. Cwtch in and warm up. Glad D has settled {{{{{{{{{{{HUGS}}}}}}}}}} to you xx

NL, I go to a local farmers market and I love it. Was your cauliflower like one of pinions pumpkins?

NorthernLurker · 16/11/2007 21:40

Well I've never actually seen the famed pumpkins you mention but I imagine my monstous brassica could give it a run (or roll) for its money - it certainly took it out of me carrying the monstrous thing home - honestly it is at least 25 cm across and it cost 80p!!! We will be eating cauliflower cheese for some time

Sexonlegs · 16/11/2007 22:16

We need photos NL! I need to get a life!

Elkie, hope you are ok. You always seem to have such mammoth journeys. I don't know how you do it. I don't have the energy. Hope you are warmed up.

UW, I do seem to be susceptible (sp?) to bugs. I just feel so knackered by it all and I know I am not eating healthily which doesn't help. Have bought a smoothie maker today, as I cannot actually remember the last time I had any fruit .

Right, am off to bed. Off to the outlaws tomorrow for the weekend, so will be back on MN on Sunday evening.

Have fabulous weekends. Lots of love to you and yours. xxxx

PeshaCake · 16/11/2007 22:18

Hope you have a nice weekend SOL

NorthernLurker · 16/11/2007 22:26

SOL - I cannot photograph my enormous cauli because a) dh already thinks I am completely mad and saying I was uploading vegetable images wouldn't help this impression and b) battery on digi cam is dead! Have a good time

geordiemacminx · 17/11/2007 06:24

Hey ladies - first one in?? C has een sleeping through for the past couple of nights - but not last night... wouldnt take anything at 10.30, woke at 1 for and hour and a half then 4.. then 6... happy days.

Thought I would let dp have a lie this morning so we gonna have a chill out for an hour or two then head to Asda or Sainsbos.. rock n roll or what?

StealthPolarBear · 17/11/2007 08:29

Hi everyone
GM it sounds like you've had a dreadful night, hope tonight is better!
uw, why do you interview badly? Is it anything you can work on before then?
Have a good weekend with the outlaws SOL.
Pesha, hope you're feeling better and M is OK. Wonder why she suddenly doesn't want to visit, maybe she misses you too much.
Hi everyone else.
Bed was successfully dismantled but I couldn't get it in my car to go to the tip with the baby seat in so will have to do it today. Think DH is packing electrical stuff (stereo, speakers) and I am packing DVDs and books. Not to mention the &%$^ ornaments! Can't wait until this is all over.

Eddas · 17/11/2007 09:33

hi ladies, read all the posts but brain rejected all the info as usual! Do remember Pesha wrote an essay though

well, the quiz went ok which was a and WE WON Bit disappointed int he turn out of the parents. Out of 31 kids 5 parents came. and that included 2(out of 5) committee members

Might be going off iceskating later which will be amusing to watch
