Morning all

Weather here is bee-yoo-tiful Bloomin freezing, but very sunny and bright.

Dh in work (again on a Saturday) but as he says it all goes towards Christmas, Holiday or Keeping runnyhabbit happy fund, lol

uw def meet up soon. F is such a little cutie! and good luck vibes for the job

nl lol at cauliflower. Could do with going to a farmers market myself.

sol get some fruit inside you! and hope you feel better soon x
Although - get this - I got told off by the dentist for eating too much fruit Had bad toothache, so went to dentist. Told me I needed a filling, and started to give me a lecture on diet in a very patronising way. Then I told her that I don't eat sweet things, I don't buy biscuits etc as I have 2 young children and need to set an example. Think she was quite shocked at my outburst. (I mean, I'm not some schoolkid fgs) Anyway, turns out that its the natural sugars in the fruit that has doen the damage! So I can still eat 10 apples a day, but have to eat them all in go!

going to go and finish off stuff I was meant to do yesterday

have a nice day all
x

GMM - grim night here too. B sleeps fine till we go to bed then wakes and won't settle back in her cot - seems to be asleep but as soon as I put her down she starts thrashing about and yelling. Grrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrh - so I have her in bed with me - where she periodically fidgets and kicks me. Grrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrh So last night at 4am I put her back in cot and left her to grumble it out - 30 minutes later she had passed through a stage when she seemed to go to sleep and was yelling loudly so came back into bed with us - also instead of feeding once I think I must have fed her four times - it's all a blur grrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr rrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrh
Today dd2 has a party, we want to go and view a house but the agents can't get hold of the vendors and its 'Tidy' day at church - so fun, fun, fun!

B is so lovely though - I just wish we had her own room to leave her in.

CaptainDippy · 17/11/2007 10:12

Can't remember a single thing about anything anyone wrote except NL's GIANT cauli - Mmmmmmm, I love Cauliflower Cheeeeeeese! Yum! Chuck me some over, will you!!? Everyone hates it in my house so I neverm ake it any more.

Off to march to try and save our local maternity unit. .....

underwire · 17/11/2007 10:20

Happy marching CD!

NL and GMM, sounds like crap nights all round. Hope you both get some chance for a rest today

SPB, I interview badly mainly because I work myself up into such a frenzy that I can barely speak! Am more confident than I used to be though so hopefully it would be better this time!

Not a bad night here, dh has gone out again but has promised to be back by half twelve so that I can go and meet a friend for lunch. Have just logged in to our bank account and dh has spent an absolute fortune. So with him as it has just been thrown away on crap that he buys to eat in work. Will mean we will struggle to make ends meet at the end of this month. Why are men such a pita? Why do I have to take responsibility for everything? RRAAAAHHHHH!!

PeshaCake · 17/11/2007 11:09

Eddas - Remembered you were asking for ides for fundraisers. The playschool my dc went to never really had evening things as lots of the parents found it difficult to find childcare and when they did they'd rather go to the pub! Or maybe that was just me They had lots of cake days where parents brought in cakes, either bought or homemade, sell them to the kids at snacktime for 20p each and then get the parents to buy the rest back when they come to collect dc! But would also invite parents to turn up half hr early to buy cup of tea/coffee and a cake to eat there and chat. They also had fancy dress days. They did a sponsored walk all round a local park, parents invited and certificates for children after. A sponsored obstacle course with certificates. And all the book clubs, yellow moon type things where the playschool get a percentage of sales.

My dads here with pressies for me so better go! Back soon, i hope

Eddas · 17/11/2007 11:13

thanks pesha not sure our manager would go for the cake thing, she's one of these healthy eating people unlike moi! TBH though I doubt our mums would bother making cakes they don't seem like that sort IYSWIM. Since they looked like I was asking them for a million quid when I asked if they wanted a £2.50 ticket to a quiz night, not sure they'd buy any cakes either! Will suggest the other things though, thanks

Is it you bday today? Mine's next sat, won't get many pressies, but am off out in the evening with my friends so that'll be good. Oh DH has booked a massage for me, bless him

PinionsAndHerPumpkinClub · 17/11/2007 12:32

Hi all I'm here I'm here .

Katy - please dearest scuse the language but WTF are you doing on here.

SOL - shocked and astounded by the lack of fruit intake. Get shopping (girlfriend ).

underwire - lovin the name!! I bought my first underwired bra in about 5 years the other day and it is so comfortable I am amazed and truly converted . I now have nice little pert bobbies tmi perhaps .

Pesha - I think I would be flattered by dd nor wanting to go to her dads. Hope d is well today .

NL - grrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr - to you too .

Hi everyone else.

And Eddas - doors - locked

Off to humongous Roundhay for several hours to wear these two blighters out.

Ciao for now folks.

CaptainDippy · 17/11/2007 13:13

Pinions has Pert Bobbies!!!?

Marching was good, but absolutely freeeeeeeeeezing!!

PeshaCake · 17/11/2007 14:59

Birthday was thursday, that was why I had costas brekkie, pub lunch and banoffee pie, I wouldnt normally eat like that! Well not much anyway! Not got loads of pressies here either but then dont expect much at my age! Dad bought me a big non-stick frying pan which was one of the things I wanted - oh the excitement!

Have just made some blueberry, oaty, walnuty, whatever-I-had-in-the-cupboards muffns! DC were meant to be helping but then D started screaming so had to race through it a bit.

Pinions - I am pleased she wanted to stay here, especially after all the 'd & d did such and such, d & d are wonderful, I miss d & d, I want to go to d & d...' that we've had from her since he came back. Does make me wonder why the sudden change though. nd yay for underwired bras!!

Dippy glad march went well It is freezing out there isnt it?! My dad turned up in his vintage open topped Riley with about 5 layers of clothes and a big thick wooly sheep skin lined leather jacket He has a perfectly good fully enclosed centrally heated car sat at home! He does his tesco shopping in his riley, think he's going abit eccentric in his old age!

oooggs · 17/11/2007 16:02

hello - can't remember anything I have just read

but.......... when do secret santa things being sent?

NorthernLurker · 17/11/2007 16:47

Muffins, marching and Roundhay all sound good.
Eddas - shame more of the parents weren't motivated to help out - maybe next time?
What sort of a night did you get Ooggs - mine was c**p - see below

Dh now making onion soup for church lunch - many, many many onions in kitchen - my eyes are stinging and I'm hiding here

underwire · 17/11/2007 16:48

Afternoon. I have had a lovely, child free afternoon with my friend. We went for scrummy lunch in a nice restaurant, then a bit of shopping where she got a lush dress in Monsoon for a do just after Christmas. I think it is the first afternoon I have had to myself since F was born, except for the times that I go to work. Back home now, and waiting for them to get back. Enjoying the complete peace and quiet of my house

CD, glad the march went well. It has turned bitterly cold all of a sudden hasnt it.

Pinions, glad to hear your bobbies are pert I LOVE my underwires! Have gone a bit mad and now have 8 new ones though

underwire · 17/11/2007 16:57

Oooggs, I dont know when the secret santa stuff has to be sent out. I know who my recipient is and, frankly, dont have the first clue what to get for her So random, but fab too

NorthernLurker · 17/11/2007 17:06

I know it's exciting isn't it

Eddas · 17/11/2007 17:58

ooo, just looked at my emails with all the mention of secret snata so I know who I have now But what to get

These are mummy presents, right?

Can I just say to my secret santa, i'm not a big fan of smellies I love pink and my fav thing is of course chocolate

oooggs · 17/11/2007 18:50

I know what I am getting mine

oooggs · 17/11/2007 18:51

sorry you had a crap night nl - I only mention good nights now cos typing about crap ones was getting me down. Hence why I don't mention sleep and night in the same sentance very often

NorthernLurker · 17/11/2007 19:10

{{{{Hug}}}}} Oooggs

oooggs · 17/11/2007 19:31

rather have a glass of wine nl might help me sleep through it

well dh on lates tonight and starts his 14 nightshifts tomorrow he is working like crazy to get our bedroom decorated and I am really impressed (but don't tell him) but whilst he is slaving over that I have the children on my own all the time - never happy am I!!

Eddas · 17/11/2007 19:33

I know what you mean oooggs, when dh does a sat am it's overtime and more £ but i'd rather he was here. Hardly the same as your dh doing loads of overtime though

where is everyone lately? back to work for some I guess. I have one full week left and then it starts, but TBH i'm looking forward to having something else to think about.sure that'll change after the first week

oooggs · 17/11/2007 19:45

dh is on 'forced' overtime at the moment. A boat is overdue to be finished and it is all hands on deck (sorry couldn't help it!!). They have signed a 24/7 agreement which gives them a lot more basic at the cost of having to work loads when needed (one has even had leave cancelled)

Eddas · 17/11/2007 19:50

I guess with the work he does they have to do these things sometimes. Doesn't help you though will it all be over by christmas? I definately need dh around more now there's more than one dc to contend with. I even had to ask him to not go to football on saturday afternoons I hate doing that as I don't like to not be able to cope on my own or be the one saying you can't go. Oh well, think he understands

We're having takeaway pizza in a bit and watching the new Harry Potter DVD. I LOVED it at the cinema and can't wait to see it again. DH had to get it on monday and has been itching to watch it since then but there's never time in the week, bless him

oooggs · 17/11/2007 19:54

yes will be over by Christmas (should be by end of this month)

elkiedee · 17/11/2007 21:00

oooggs, ugh at 14 nightshifts - I feel sorry for myself with dp working two lates - tonight and Tuesday, and my dad came round to help me up to bedtime, and will probably do the same on Tuesday, bless him.

I've not been online as much today because I took the chance during D's two substantial naps earlier to catch up with some reading, then I was busy with him. And playing online Scrabble. CD, am keeping that game with Leaky open for you to thrash us both when she's able to get back online!

CD, glad the march went well, I do hope you succeed in keeping your maternity unit open. Was that where your dds were born?

busywithIzzy · 17/11/2007 22:19

Hello everyone, sorry I've been awol.

Thanks for all your support over the bf and my tosser of a doctor.

I've decided to keep bf and to try and increase the amount of calories that she gets from her solid food. I'm not ready to give up bf yet and I'm not sure it would make any difference to weight gain.

I have caught up but can't remember anything Hope everyone ok.

Liath thanks for the email about secret santa. I tend to be allergic to some smellies and I don't really wear make up, apart from that anything. I'm really excited about it Thanks so much for sorting it out.
