Are your children’s vaccines up to date?

Tcmummy, your life sounds as hectic as CD! Hope you are ok.

UW, good luck with the job - can we ask what role it is you are applying for?? [nosey emoticon]!

SPB, sending house vibes to you. Must be a pita being in limbo.

busywithIzzy · 15/11/2007 12:51

Ok I went to the GP with DD and what a pointless visit it was.

He looked at the chart...not at her at all only checked her heart to make sure there was no murmur Then said she looks like a classic BF baby who isn't getting enough calories from breast milk and needs formula He went on to say he didn't mind which make I used but if I used it for 4 bottles a day and BF in the evening she would be climbing up the charts again by Christmas

So I smiled sweetly and said yes and no in all the right places and stuck two fingers up at him after I left!

So here we are again no useful advice from anyone except stop BF and change to formula which I will not do after BF for 7 months.

Rant over.

Haven't caught up yet sorry. Hope everyone ok.

busywithIzzy · 15/11/2007 12:52

Sorry that was an awful rant

Sexonlegs · 15/11/2007 12:58

Ange, I think that is a totally acceptable rant. FFS, I feel maddened by it all. Was it the same GP you saw the other day?

StealthPolarBear · 15/11/2007 13:02

good for you bwi!

underwire · 15/11/2007 13:18

Ange, that is absolutely ridiculous. So for you. And a bloody man too, no empathy or understanding of bf. We will all stick fingers up at him too!

CD, its a nurse specialist job in children's haematology. Would be my own patient group, really like the idea of it.

StealthPolarBear · 15/11/2007 13:54

Dippy, Baby Einstein, brilliant!
He was mesmerised for 10 minutes and then I realised I hadn't even pressed play

Maveta · 15/11/2007 14:19

Hello hello, just having a quick net moment while dh makes coffee. think I´ve caught up

and at your GP BWI - it would just make my blood boil.. good on you for sticking to your guns.

tcmummy - wow you really are busy! I can imagine it feels overwhelming, I´ve got admiration for anyone trying to juggle studying with parenthood, just make sure you try and be good to yourself in amongst all of the obligations you have going on x

Good luck for the job mammyjo! sorry UW, always seems to take me a while to think of you all under your new names when you change.

POTC - sorry to hear you´re feeling a bit blue, big non-hug for you.

SPB and Dippy - yes Baby Einstein is a lifesaver for me, he only watches it a couple of times a week but the temptation to put it on several times a day is sometimes hard to resist

Elkie - she actually pointed me to MN after reading an article about it when I was pregnant but I was wondering, will have to ask her if she´s going to come on. And if she´ll reveal her identity of course

Am so excited, was mentally going through all the stuff of Ns that I´ll need to pack up and give her..can´t wait to pass stuff on

Oh yeah, we´re having xmas at ours this year but on strict condition that everyone helps with the prep. Both sisters and BIL are coming out, I´m really looking forward to it

...and I´m only slightly worried about the possibilities that could arise from a xmas tree meeting a (possibly-by-then) crawling baby...

StealthPolarBear · 15/11/2007 14:49

right everyone I am from this moment on a self imposed mn break because

WE ARE MOVING
hope last week of nov
so i need to get on and MN is just too addictive
I will try to only pop in and not be sucked in, and hopefully be back beginning of December (all of 2 weeks away, feels like I'm going for good)
Take care all, speak to you soon xxx

StealthPolarBear · 15/11/2007 14:50

oh & ps if I'm here and time wasting, not just saying hi, kick me up the bum!

underwire · 15/11/2007 14:51

Take care SPB. Hope the move goes as smoothly as possible

StealthPolarBear · 15/11/2007 14:52

ooer got my fingers crossed
(BTW am feeding at the moment so that's my excuse )

CaptainDippy · 15/11/2007 14:53

Christmas Tree + Crawling Baby = Disaster.

Tried and Tested!!

Put it up on a BIG box!!

Glad Baby Einstein is working for you, SPB - Had another thought, something else that always kept my other 2 happy when they were little and crawling and a PITA - Buy a bubble machine!!!!! you can get them really cheap in Tesco - kept mine mesmerised and happy for aaaaages!!

Oooooh, perhaps I could start a "Tip of the Day" or something!!!?

Good for you BWI!!!! Stick to your guns - Izzy is perfect as she is honey - don't let anyone else tell you otherwise.

CaptainDippy · 15/11/2007 14:55

Ooooooh exciting, SPB!!!!!

DEFINITELY invest in a Bubble Machine then!

Eddas · 15/11/2007 15:45

SPB, good luck with the move

geordiemacminx · 15/11/2007 17:24

Hey ladies - just a quick one before I starttea

www.huggiesclub.com/uk/moviestar

This lets you upload a pic of your baby so they can be a star of a move - it only takes a couple of mins and is very cute!

Sexonlegs · 15/11/2007 18:06

Hi folks, hadn't thought about crawling babies and trees. I can't see K moving for a while (famous last words!!)

Turkey, you poor lamb. Hope you and E are both better soon. I had viral pleurisy a few years back and remember it being so painful.

SMB, great news about the house move. Have fun!!

Been to work, and luckily the meeting was only half an hour. B was fab, but K screamed the place down - I think I am going to have a nightmare sending her to nursery!

CaptainDippy · 15/11/2007 18:34

Poor octo {{{{hugs}}}} Poop to your night away with DH being off Will you be able to do it again soon.

P VERY tired, so going to take her from DH

oooggs · 15/11/2007 19:27
