Thanks Bramshott - I appreciate that.

I'm trying to muster some coherent thoughts on the current sleep crisis situation we (april ladies) are experiencing but having a little trouble gathering my thoughts (no prizes for guessing why )

THis is how far I've got 'it would be good if babies slept all night but'

Think I might give up for today

normabutty · 21/11/2007 18:35

Sorry to hear about your dh's job NL. Hope he finds something else soon.

Also sorry to hear about the crap nights people are having. Erin woke once last night so not too bad and I'm pretty sure it's her teeth bothering her. She's got 2 and I think her top ones might be on their way.

I took part in a nappy fairy thing on another forum (basically like secret santa but with nappies!) and it arrived today...it's soooo gorgeous. It's a Baby Bufters fast dry night nappy in black with gold stars . (I'd said I liked a v similar one that was the wrong size so my fairy obv got it custom made for me!)

Bwi - Fantastic news about izzy's weight gain - really pleased for you

NL - that is crap about dh's job but glad you're feeling so positive about it. If its a job he didnt like anyway then hopefully this will turn out to be a really positive step for your future.

Sympathies to all those with no sleep.

D didnt sleep till 11pm then woke at 1am and was feeding on and off from then on, all night. Didnt go more than hour. Typical he does that the night before I actually have to go to work and use my brain!

I have used some cc on him a couple of times in the evening when I know he's tired and not hungry/poorly whatever and its worked well. But like Elliue said I know he can sleep through so atm all his night waking is either growth spurt hunger or poorliness.

Sexonlegs · 21/11/2007 19:25

Hi all

NL, what a bummer about your dh's job. Really hoping it turns out well and gets an even better one. Are they going to give him time off for job hunting etc?

Pesha, what a crap night for you. My heart goes out to you. Do you start your new job tomorrow? Good luck petal. x

NorthernLurker · 21/11/2007 19:29

struggling a bit to feel so positive now tbh. I would rather like to hide under duvet and wail what are we going to dooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo ooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo! But I can see that's a bit pointless really. And would wake B up - to be avoided at all costs. Perhaps I'm just hungry - chili in microwave as we speak.

This is going to work out well you're right Pesha (slightly wobbly grin face)

oooggs · 21/11/2007 19:29

hello!!!!!!!! can think of anything to say

except congrats on weight gain Izzy - Ange you must be so pleased.

hope dh find a job soon nl - nightmare

NorthernLurker · 21/11/2007 19:32

SOL - b***s to time off - he's been asked to do a couple of things for a sort of handover and that's it - I am pushing him to do as little as possible and spend the rest of the time on jobhunting and us. When I think of all the hours he has put in (unpaid extra of course) I could say a number of very, very rude things about the parent company. Or I could cry - but I won't do either - onwards and upwards - come on I neeeeeeeed some cliches here!

PillockOfTheCommunity · 21/11/2007 19:32

Da Da. (Can contain myself no longer [saddo emoticon]). Whaddya think???? Check out the profile too .

NL so sorry to hear the news, feel free to rant on here whenever you like, the rest of us do.

AndaPinionsinaPearTree · 21/11/2007 19:47

Yes Ange fabbo about the weight gain. If anything I over feed T or try to anyway, still really good news. And your dad being a reverend, you mean like a real live one and everything? Seriously though you have put my mind at rest .

PeshaCake · 21/11/2007 19:51

SOL I actually start 2 jobs tomorrow!! The school one and this telesales which is actually a decent product so I'm quite looking forward to it. Not looking forwards to the school one but hopefully will be ok once I'm there. Although telesales one is self employed so have to sort all that out too and work out just how much of my bills I can claim as expenses!

AndaPinionsinaPearTree · 21/11/2007 19:52

That came across as wrong........cor this feeding thing.........wasn't for a moment suggesting that you under feed her, ykwim??

Just meant that I try and get as much in at every possible given moment. Rambling now so I'll stop.

I always feel like I'm treading on eggshells when the feeding issue comes up.

oooggs · 21/11/2007 19:54

good on ya pesha

AndaPinionsinaPearTree · 21/11/2007 19:54

And good luck for tomorrow Pesha .

Are you a tad nervous??

DS1 in the bath so better go and retrieve him .

NorthernLurker · 21/11/2007 19:55

Eggshells, eggshells Pinions - don't tell me you're feeding your baby EGGS - don't you know they are highly dangerous (rambles on for forty more ranting minutes)

Love the pic by the way

AndaPinionsinaPearTree · 21/11/2007 19:57

THANK YOU, very kind of you to comment.

NorthernLurker · 21/11/2007 20:00

Have been sitting here hyperventilating lest you not realise I was kidding about the eggs - fine to feed baby eggs -aaargh now I'm in the weaning minefield

AndaPinionsinaPearTree · 21/11/2007 20:12

That was thank you in bold and CAPITALS btw.

I think it's good - am I wrong?

NorthernLurker · 21/11/2007 20:14

Whilst I'm waiting for pinions to reply - POTC - you would hate what I saw on wy back from school - yes the first Christmas tree of the season - hideous purple baubles on it!

PillockOfTheCommunity · 21/11/2007 20:14

Good luck tomorrow, Pesha.

Wahay to Izzy's weight gain .
