Fab news BWI!!!

I'm certain there is nothing wrong with , the times dp has been getting up with him he is onlyb taking an oz or so, just fussing so its not as if he's even hungry...he's just a monster

Eddas · 21/11/2007 15:33

I think she meant that you said you'd try to ring everyone else, but you didn't ring her

DD is driving me NUTS. She's like a caged animal. Ok, so she does have chicken pox but it's a very mild case from what I can see. No other side effects but the spots, of which there are maybe 40. She keeps saying she can go to school as she's feeling better now bless her. She LOVES school(preschool!) Fingers crossed she'll be all scabby soon so she can go back Mind you I could send her back as she has no visible spots and alot of them are scabby so unless you really looked you'd never know I won't though

Eddas · 21/11/2007 15:37

yes of course meant to say, great news that she's putting on weight.

I don't go to the HV much, glad I don't know if they give out such crap advice. I think we, as parents, have enough to worry about without them adding to it.

GMM, my dh is the same. He has calmed down a bit now but it took nearly 3 years[rolls eyes] Me, his mum, his step dad, all kept on at him to just let it go. She doesn't have to eat 15 bits of fruit everyday and no sweets ever to be a healthy happy child although I have to admit it is worrying when they haven't eaten all day/week for no apparent reason. My HV did give me some good advice she said that a baby/child won't starve themselves and don't force them to eat, they will eat if/when they need to

busywithIzzy · 21/11/2007 15:40

Thanks for the explanation Eddas I am sooooo blonde soemtimes

Poor DD, hope she's all scabbed over soon!

Eddas · 21/11/2007 15:40

sorry read your post wrong gmm

It's amazing really but I'm sure babies do know how to push your buttons from a young age. But they are retrainable with a bit of work! I think they just try their luck more than anything

Must get off the computer

PinionsAndHerPumpkinClub · 21/11/2007 15:52

Just written a very healthy sized post on cc and my darned pc has crashed again.

Feel so with everything right now.

Anyone know where I can get matching boys black trousers, size 6-9 months and age 4. Not an easy task.

Pre-school closed for "training" on Monday. Boiler broke down so closed on Tuesday. Went today and closed down again. So 3 whole days to entertain ds1.

Dp is on lates and gets home at 9.30 every evening this week.

15 rellies coming to christening sunday. And revered coming here tomorrow.

PinionsAndHerPumpkinClub · 21/11/2007 15:53

StealthPolarBear · 21/11/2007 15:54

Eddas · 21/11/2007 16:03

Sorry you're having a bad time. No hugs but hope it gets better.

No idea about the trousers I'm afraid...do they have to match?

PinionsAndHerPumpkinClub · 21/11/2007 16:14

and

Eddas · 21/11/2007 16:17

oh dear, you sound really really stressed

Sexonlegs · 21/11/2007 16:17

Hiya

BWI, what fantastic news about I's weight gain. You must be over the moon!

Eddas, poor dd - and you. I would find it impossible to keep B contained/occupied.

Pinions, have you tried the usual suspects like BHS? Or perhaps one of the wedidng hire places might be able to point you in the right direction?? Just stabbing in the dark! Hope you get something sorted.

NorthernLurker · 21/11/2007 16:22

Oh Pinions - wouldn't dream of hugging you - but accept a virtual wispa bar. Re trousers - I think black trousers for a baby may be a tough ask - have you tried Gap and Monsoon - I go for the girls and boys stuff looks nice too.

I am also having a bad day - in fact it's right up there as an all time horror. Dh's work have made him and others redundant today. Bit of a shock but we are trying to be positive - a) no house move in progress suddenly seems like a good thing b) he will get paid this month and next - last time this happened company went bust and we were left potless immediately, c) he didn't like the job anyway!

It is rotten though - hopefully won't take him to long to find something. I've thought about going back to work early but tbh will cost so much in childcare that it isn't really worth it - plus I would be devastated to lose that time with B - which I had planned on and would never be able to get back. Ho hum - onwards and upwards - all cliches welcome - watch out with the hugs though - fairly good chance of getting your shoulder drenched

Eddas · 21/11/2007 16:26

oh NL, that's rubbish Good that you can be so positive. Fingers crossed he finds something asap

busywithIzzy · 21/11/2007 16:29

NL - What shocking news, hope DH finds another job soon! (((hugs))) for you as I think you'll take them, I'll put a burb cloth on my shoulder to soak up the tears!

Hi SOL, yes I'm pretty chuffed about weight gain

StealthPolarBear · 21/11/2007 16:33

oh no NL, hope he gets something else very soon

NorthernLurker · 21/11/2007 16:35

Thanks eddas and bwi - oh forgot to say - well done on the weight front. Makes your GP look even more of a pillock (no offence pillock) Thanks for the shoulder - you may be ok actually - I did mange to tell my friend in RL what had happened without blubbing. This is BIG progress for me as usually resemble a watering can at every litle crisis

Bramshott · 21/11/2007 16:35

Oh NL, that's pants. Will he still have to go in, or will he stop immediately? The only time I was made redundant it was actually the best thing that ever happened to me - got 6 weeks off, paid, to look for a new job, and found a much better one! That was many years ago before dependents and mortgage though. Must be a worrying time for you, especially at this time of year.

NorthernLurker · 21/11/2007 16:35

Thanks spb as well

NorthernLurker · 21/11/2007 16:38

Hi Bramshott - the time of year really really sucks doesn't it? The only people who really matter there are the girls of course and I never spend a huge amount so will be able to manage ok - after all B is hardly going to notice is she
dh works from home a lot anyway and there are a couple of things they want him to do and that's it. IT could take as long as he likes and as you can imagine I am pushing for it to take a very very short amount of time indeed!!!

Bramshott · 21/11/2007 16:45

Well you know we are here to listen and help whenever you need it. Sending vibes your way (or your DH's way).
