I think all that talk of superheroes made us all a bit feisty

South Mimms?

Sputnik · 11/10/2007 19:20

you think I came on too strong for him?

HellHathNoFury · 11/10/2007 19:24

Sputnik, oh god yes. He has gone to the local BP garage and warned them all about you. I'll wager that a few will be scared off...but you'll have a queue by tomorrow.

Sputnik · 11/10/2007 19:27

Oh goodie, I like nothing better than a nice 18-wheeler

CunningPlanFormulator · 11/10/2007 19:30

I'm here! Dp snuck in whilst I went to the loo and wouldn't get off!

I bought this. Not a merc, but it'll do as a runaround and for me to learn in. Alas no vouchers !

Welcome back derlor!

Sputnik · 11/10/2007 19:34

Congratulations! when do you start lessons?

daisyandbabybootoo · 11/10/2007 19:36

dkma...I'm sorry if my comments were upsetting, I was just trying to give Ria a bit of moral support . I think you can forget sometimes on here (well I do cos my brain is the consistency of aforementioned babyrice) that it isn't a two way conversation and that anyone can see, and that sometimes people will disagree with or be upset by what they read.

I'm glad you're back with us

Now all we need is BZ and we'll have a full complement again!

a real hairy trucker....oh my

whatever anyone does, don't google for pictures of hairy truckers...all sorts of porn sites come up!

what sort of car did you buy holly?

OP posts:
Sputnik · 11/10/2007 19:40

HellHathNoFury · 11/10/2007 19:40

Has anyone used little lambs and diddy diapers? Advice please...

HellHathNoFury · 11/10/2007 19:45

I used to have a rover, they're not bad actually...they chug along forever!

upsyderlor · 11/10/2007 19:45

i've just been off being nosey and searching for anyone mentioning the town where i live - someone else that posts on MN lives here too....(((note to self - be careful what i say, they might just know me )))))

Elsbells · 11/10/2007 19:45

Evening all.

Is there a full moon or something? I got a bit fiesty w/friend in RL earlier about utter crap really.

Lack of sleep is taking its toll, eh?

bumperlicious · 11/10/2007 19:47

evening all, had a knackering day. out at 9.30 to walk to bounce & rhyme, half an hour's walk, then on to bumps & babes where the girl going to my postnatal group suggested going for a sarnie in the park then walking to the group which took 50 mins, then the dentist lady didn't turn up to the group so we just chatted then i went to one of the girl's hoses for a few cuppas and fortunately dh picked me up coz it would have taken me an hour and a half to walk home. I'm farking knackered, so is dd!

derlor, glad you are back. hope mr derlor is ok. good FB move though, it'd make your hair curl if you knew what info some people could get, even with your privacy settings, hence my reluctance.

TA, dkma & ria, don't want to drag it all on, but just wanted to say well done for being honest, in some ways it is easier to be honest on line, to our detriment sometime...

the step parent/absent parent thing is a real issue isn't it, from both sides? but like you dkma i see it from the child's angle, but every situation is different too. I think it is only now that i realise parents are human and have human failings too, and to an extent, that's allowed. let's try not to mess up our own kids as much as our parents did with us! (famous last words...)

upsyderlor · 11/10/2007 19:49

Hi Elsbells >
we have not met as i have recently returned from outer space.
i was previously derlor but have had an upgrade to current title!!!
i'm a bit of a PITA at times (according to my DH) but you'll get used to me!

daisyandbabybootoo · 11/10/2007 19:50

daisy takes her babymush brain (which obviously can't assimilate written information as well as DHs verbalisation of his whereabouts) and goes and sits in the corner

I wouldn't have the nerve to buy a car off ebay. My BIL bought a mini....and had to get the train from Fife to Cheltenham to pick it up, he then drove it 400 miles home....bloody nutter.

just received this phrase in my boots health club email

"Reached your target weight and want to stay that way? This month we give you tips on how diet, exercise and a few simple lifestyle changes can help keep you on track."

Fark off is all i can say!

daisyandbabybootoo · 11/10/2007 19:52

LOL bumper

upsyderlor · 11/10/2007 19:53

Daisy, you coming up this way before crimbo??
Mr Derlor is totally fine btw - think the bump to his head actually knocked some sense into him!!!! helmet and bike however, totally written off!!

upsyderlor · 11/10/2007 19:55

"let's try not to mess up our own kids as much as our parents did with us! (famous last words...)" oh how i agree with THIS statement bumper >

daisyandbabybootoo · 11/10/2007 19:59

Derlor, probably not, unless I can wangle a long weekend without my darling DS.

We will be around over Christmas and New Year though, but I realise that family commitments can take over at that time of year.

I'm just about to see if I can book accommodation for our visit as now we are four and my mum has moved to a smaller house there's nowhere for us to stay.

well my internet is being shockingly slow tonight so going to sign off.

Plus I need SLEEP!!!!!

daisyandbabybootoo · 11/10/2007 20:06

LOL, I've just found THIS REView for a hotel in Kirkcaldy that was quite a chique establishment in my youth. Obviously the standard of it's clientele has deteriorated. has she not heard of punctuation?

OP posts:
upsyderlor · 11/10/2007 20:14

that review is hillarious Daisy - all it needs is the occasional "yeahbut nobut" thrown in and it is a comedy routine fit for the festival!!!

Dontknowmyarsefrommyelbow · 11/10/2007 20:15

Anyone watching - How Toxic are You on ITV at the mo?
There doing a test on toxins in breastmilk????

Dontknowmyarsefrommyelbow · 11/10/2007 20:19
