I think all that talk of superheroes made us all a bit feisty

OP posts:
Are your children’s vaccines up to date?
HellHathNoFury · 16/10/2007 11:09

my DH SAYS doesn't see the attraction but he has been known to log on as me to read the funny threads!!

He's obviously in touch with his feminine side. I told him to create his own account and hang out with the other men but he said if he had the time on a regular basis to talk bollocks he'd finish designing his web site first!

riabutterflew · 16/10/2007 11:19

I think my DH misses working A LOT. (People listen to him at work you see, there's only so much "foodie chat" I can take - because I don't understand.)

Bloody post - my sword has arrived (yippee), but so has the phone bill. Funny sort of strike, how do they know to hold back the good stuff you want but let the other stuff through?

riabutterflew · 16/10/2007 11:21

the point of that post was my DH gets to talk bollocks at work

HellHathNoFury · 16/10/2007 11:22

Ria... you ordered a sword? Were you getting into the superhero theme a bit too much?

Your DH can talk food to me

LittleMissNorty · 16/10/2007 11:29

We've had no post today and I'm beginning to get all the messages through e-bay saying...haven't received my item yet....FFS there's been a fucking strike on don't you know? Jeez, some people are so bloody impatient!!!!

TA - I get naffed off with my DH when he's playing golf on the PC while we could be doing something together as well......but we do have the odd evening when I sit and MN on lap-top and he plays golf on PC...recently I have made a point of not MNing in the evening (other than rugby/footie nights) ...I now need to wean myself off a bit more during the day...I've got loads to do!

IamDaisy · 16/10/2007 11:45

Tell them all to fark off have some patience LMN. You'd think people would be a bit more understanding with the mail situation the way it is.

right babyboo sleeping, time to get on with some ironing and packing!

I'm ssoooooooo excited

andiem · 16/10/2007 11:47

LittleMissNorty · 16/10/2007 11:51

Ohh I'm very of all these holidays.....I've just ordered a top of the range Neff oven and dishwasher.....and washing machine......and gas hob on black glass.........I'm very excited about my new kitchen!

LittleMissNorty · 16/10/2007 11:52

have a peek....might have to learn how to cook properly

andiem · 16/10/2007 11:56

ooh looks good charlie

annobal · 16/10/2007 12:02

New kitchen sounds lovely. Actually I'd settle for a working washing machine! Bloody repair man was meant to be here this morning and it is now officially afternoon. I bet he needs a part that he doesn't have and will take a week to get in. We have been without a washing machine for 10 days now and we are running out of clothes

annobal · 16/10/2007 12:02

Nice

riabutterflew · 16/10/2007 12:46

My DH would LOVE that

I bought DSS a samurai sword for his 18th. If DH doesn't take a fancy to it he can take it through next week when he goes to hospital in Leeds.

DH has been at the local hospital having acupuncture today. Am . Baggins didn't go to sleep until after 2am, then was up at 4, 6 & 7... but he is gorgeous so I'll let him off (baggins that is). He seems to have just started getting colic. Is that normal, I thought they grew out of it, not into it?

Bumperlicious · 16/10/2007 12:53

Hi all, still lurking just a bit In defense of mr bumper my mnet ban is self-proscribed, DH is not banning me. But in light of our conversation last night I think it is better to give it a rest, just for a short while. The problem with going on it during the day is I then get wrapped up in all the juicy thread and can't stop. I'm an all or nothing kinda gal!

So the best thing for me is to go cold turkey then use it again during the day when I can be trusted to use it sensibly . And in the meantime I might actually get some house work done (yeah right!) or read a book or do things that people who don't mnet do (i'm sure I can think of something!).

Speak to you soon! I love you all! Over and out xxxx

IamDaisy · 16/10/2007 13:24

it's getting mightily quiet around here.....next week is going to worse with half term hols and people away.

bumper, don't stay away too long, we love you too

riabutterflew · 16/10/2007 13:26

what do people who don't mnet do?

annobal · 16/10/2007 13:38

Sodding washing machine is broken for the foreseeable future. And knowing our sodding letting agent, nothing will be done about it.

IamDaisy · 16/10/2007 13:40

well before I MNetted I worked, and finished knitting projects, and read a lot.

and had a much cleaner, tidier less cluttered house in which I ironed....

actually who am I trying to kid...I love MN as it gives me an excuse for not having done all those things

babyboo fed from 12 till 1 today....and if I got my boob out now, I just know she would take more....

HellHathNoFury · 16/10/2007 13:41

they hunnihunnihunhun on other forums.

IamDaisy · 16/10/2007 13:42

annobal, send laundry out to the launderette and send letting agent the receipts

annobal · 16/10/2007 13:43

I think that is what we are going to have to do. Except I know that letting agent won't pay. And there's not really much I can do about it.

IamDaisy · 16/10/2007 13:45

lol hhnf....do you think bumper isn't getting enough touchy feely vibes from us?

bumper, hun, come back hun

dogtanian · 16/10/2007 13:45

Urgh! Crappy new titles on Neighbours!

Sorry about your machine annobal, what a PITA! Hope it gets fixed soon.

You finished packing daisy?

IwansMam · 16/10/2007 13:49

They lurk on MN summoning courage to ask if they can join post-natal threads

annobal · 16/10/2007 14:05

Oh Daisy, you were joking! Sorry - I have lost my sense of humour
