I think all that talk of superheroes made us all a bit feisty

IamDaisy · 16/10/2007 14:42

hi iwansmum...we "spoke" last week I think....you might not remember me as I've been having many name changes, but I linked this thread for you. It probably had diasy in it, but might have been thenappynipper

good for you for posting instead of just lurking

annobal, I was serious about sending them the bill. It's not exactly right that you are letting a fully equipped flat and then having to shell out more.

Do you have any neighbours or friends whose machine you could "borrow"?

IamDaisy · 16/10/2007 14:43

i mean leasing, not letting.

upsyderlor · 16/10/2007 14:47

hello i'm here (lurking) DD needing fed but i'm listening (so to speak!!)
Daisy, you have FB mail xx
Hi iwansmum

IwansMam · 16/10/2007 14:55

Hi Daisy & Andiem

Daisy - thanks for the link last week, its how I found this thread. I think you were Daisy at the time, though did spot the couple of name changes along the way. Would have 'delurked' earlier but spent much of the past week walking while persuading DS that sleep is good.

Andiem - I always mainline chocolate and highly recommend it.

IwansMam · 16/10/2007 14:56

Hi Upsyderlor too

upsyderlor · 16/10/2007 15:01

LittleMissNorty · 16/10/2007 15:12

Hi Iwansmum.....nice to meet you! When did you have DS? I have DD born 2nd June so 20 weeks this week....where has the time gone?!

Annobal - you can always use my washing machine (and tumble)....I am a bit of a way for you though...

-When- my kitchen is done...I'll have washing machine, my luvverly cooker and dishwasher to shift...

Just been into town, me and DD on our own (bliss) and I sat in Cafe Nero with a latte and pannini while DD slept and just SAT there people watching for 30 mins.....god it was GREAT

IwansMam · 16/10/2007 15:19

Hi, I have one DS who was born 25th June which makes him 16 weeks old. I'm English and now live in Nottingham (and have done on & off for the past 14 years). DS is half Welsh, hence the name and has been informed by DP that he will be supporting Wales for the rugby .

LittleMissNorty · 16/10/2007 15:22

I have a husband who is half Scottish and like many Scots, supports Scotland in everything (he is sports mad) and anyone that plays England ....

IwansMam · 16/10/2007 15:25

England in the cricket is ok here but that's it. At least one of us always has a side which wins when England are playing!

riabutterflew · 16/10/2007 15:26

Hi Iwansmam, welcome.

Mumof4, if you're still about. Congratulations. Lucky you. let us know how you get on.

So, have just emailed Dhs sample menu off to the prospective employer - keep it all crossed for him.

Bugger, LO woken up, just when I was about to do some more ironing...

riabutterflew · 16/10/2007 15:32

I am ridiculously nervous about tonight! I have a fluttery tummy

HellHathNoFury · 16/10/2007 15:38

Hi Iwansmum! Welcome to the madhouse!

My boss has gone so I can say hello again

LittleMissNorty · 16/10/2007 15:47

Ria - were you naughty at school? Is it going to bring back memories you'd rather forget?

I'm sure you'll be fine! and DS will love it

Lucky save from the ironing...well done baby baggins

HellHathNoFury · 16/10/2007 15:50

can someone think of a name for the new thread? I suck

riabutterflew · 16/10/2007 15:52

Not naughty really, I was almost a "high achiever" in my exams, but that's where it ended (bad career choices)! They won't be asking me to do a careers talk or anything.

DS doesn't want to go and I just have visions of one of his major nasty wobblies in the school carpark about going through the door

riabutterflew · 16/10/2007 15:57

new thread

LittleMissNorty · 16/10/2007 16:00

Sounds like bribery might be the answer there Ria

If I knew then what I know now about working and making a living, I would have made different choices / worked a bit harder at school as well....I'm sure most people are in that position!

Hope it goes well....you'll have to tell DS a couple of school secrets (like where the bike sheds are ) that will make him want to see where his mum went to school!
