I hated squash when I was a kid. Can't get enough of it down my neck at the minute.

"To quench his thirst" apparently... Now the weather's getting warmer and all... bless her. I think tbf, it might have been a thing at one time. I was breastfed and she was telling me the hvs used to tell her off for not giving me drinks of water as well.

Pisghetti · 13/04/2015 23:03

When I had DS it was recommended to give cooled boiled water to breastfed babies in summer! So it was a thing not all that long ago. Along with weaning at four months and nothing but purées all the way until they had a go full of teeth. Makes me feel ok for being all PFB with BabyPis as it's all new again Wink

WilHarlot · 13/04/2015 23:43

That must be quite weird Pis. Although actually I'm pretty sure some advice has changed in 2 1/2 years.

I have the sledgehammered feeling.

RPopz · 14/04/2015 10:55

Me too Wil. Mini is only sleeping in 2/3 hourly chunks now so I think Leap 4 might have hit early as he is being a drama queen in the day too Shock

DH was up til gone 3 last night, dicking about with his gaming cards and god knows what. This is the man who had to sleep in the spare room for 8 weeks when DS was tiny because he couldn't possibly go to work on such small amounts of sleep Angry He spends every spare minute on it at the moment and its really fucking me off.

Minion · 14/04/2015 11:11

Wtf are gaming cards popz?
It would drive me insane. I have a mate from school who has got with this chap, had a baby and moved in together. Even when the LO was under 1 hrs stay up till 6am on the computer gaming away.

Not so bad except he was in their bedroom as was the baby!

How she didn't blow her fuse is beyond me.

Ahh leap 4! Such fun!!!
Tho you can see how different she is beginning to become. She actually looks like those babies off the adverts now. And can actually see the changes in head size!
20 days left (although I think she went through it early so hopefully 13)

wil, not sure how long it would take for the symptoms begin after starting back on aptamil but so far so good. She's even drinking more (jinx).

RPopz · 14/04/2015 11:22

I don't even really know tbh Min! He does wargaming, boardgaming and this other gaming that uses cards. These cards require frequent sorting, putting in little plastic wallets, filing away, refiling, making lists of..... If only he was actually so fucking organised when it came to real life! Angry

TheBooMonster · 14/04/2015 12:48

popz sounds like magic the gathering! DH and I have a huge box full of the stuff but we ran out of people to play with a few years ago, we've got a good grand worth of stuff in there thinks of all the slings I could buy for that but he's too lazy to help me go through it all and I'm too stubborn to do all the work for him then to put the money to something sensible so I can't even roll in the joy of whatever I spend the money on Grin

DH got bored of playing Diablo and has gone back to mine craft with a friend, wondering if it would be unreasonable to ask said friend to monitor the amount of time he spends on there and suggest that perhaps he should be spending more time with the girls, as he's not listening to it from me Hmm

Fell asleep with squidge in the bed last night. Ended up precariously hanging off the side of the bed whilst she and DH starfished! But she slept, and I got marginally more sleep than I otherwise would...

WilHarlot · 14/04/2015 21:04

You should have booted DH out so you could have starfished too Boo.

Popz what happens if you go mental at him about it?

TheBooMonster · 14/04/2015 21:40

he had work in the morning, so it felt mean to kick him out onto the sofa. However he's off Thursday and I'm looking forward to kicking him out of the bed tomorrow night... or staying in bed all day Thursday...

TheBooMonster · 14/04/2015 21:49

also, let this be a warning to you, don't let family teach your kids how to load and empty the washing machine and tumble dryer! No matter how many times you tell them to stay away from the oven they will end up closing you in the oven when you least expect it nurses burnt leg

RPopz · 14/04/2015 22:27

If this isn't sleep regression, I might lose the plot! He's been pretty cheery today which makes me thing it's not Leap 4. But he's waking every 2-3 hours in the night again... He didn't get up til gone 11 this morning Shock And he is WIDE AWAKE right now when he's usually asleep for 9....

Wil ... he will deny it all for a couple of hours. Then eventually he will relent and apologise profusely for being so selfish/ thoughtless/ taking me for granted and promise that he'll do better from now on... Then he'll be on best behaviour for a day or two max (cleaning, walking the dog etc)... And then he just carries on as normal! Its too much like hard work calling him out on it anyway... I was properly raging at him last night. But then I didn't see him in the morning and by the time he gets home from work I just can't be bothered getting into a shouting match and ruining the evening.

RPopz · 14/04/2015 22:44

Just put him to bed even though he's still completely wired... he's chatting away to himself up there!

ZylaB · 15/04/2015 03:32

Hugs popz

We bought some wetsuit type things with the happy nappy as part of them for swimming, want to take H soon, so am very excited. She loves her baths so am hoping she'll love swimming too :)

Also think I'm going to try and get to a sling library to borrow a connecta soon, still really liking slinging her. Though I was shopping alone yesterday and although I love our changing bag I struggled as it'smessenger style and kept slipping off my shoulder and I couldn't put it across me because of the sling, so it looks like I'm going to have to treat myself to a rucksack changing bag and have 2!! Mwahahaaaa someone stop me, I'm in a proper spending mood some of you guys have used a connecta haven't you? I think DH will find it easier as he gets tied in knots with the stretchy one we have, which also seemed to be sagging a big yesterday when I used it.... Will it get tighter if I wash it?

Minion · 15/04/2015 07:54

Zombie signing in.
Yawn!
Up at 3:30 to feed Madam and I couldn't get back off. She however, slept soundly abs after another bottle is doing so, again.

Supposed to be meeting mates today but can't be fecked.

Tell me they sleep through soon (wibble).

On the plus side, there's no reaction so far to the aptamil.
Fingers crossed.

WilHarlot · 15/04/2015 08:24

Great news about aptamil. Surely you would have seen something by now. I'm tempted to just have a giant bar of chocolate and deal with any consequences.

I also am thinking of just buying a connecta although haven't tried one. I have to take a flight in a few months, on my own with both girls and think it might be the way to go.

Send him a bitter hate-filled text message Popz so you don't have to bother shouting? Living with me is a laugh a minute.

This one woke every hour and a half. I will never notice the sleep regression with her.

JuniDD · 15/04/2015 08:41

Aw, sorry about rough nights.
Anyone wanna do a new thread? I've got computer for the next hour but can't do good thread headers like some of you!

OP posts:
WilHarlot · 15/04/2015 09:24

I don't think we've ever had an amusing title for these threads. Probably need to up our game. Am sure we could include something about crayola green poos, sling obsessions, sleepless nights and hijacking golf carts to run away from weddings Wink .

ZylaB · 15/04/2015 10:34

I'd forgotten about the golf cart! :)

WilHarlot · 15/04/2015 11:50

How about 'We've no time for JSing. We're battling green nappies, sleepless nights, x-box playing men and trying to hide our sling addictions. Fuck it, let's do a runner on a golf cart.' Or words to that effect. Can't do it though as am off to hospital.

TheBooMonster · 15/04/2015 12:04

I can do it on the iPad I think

ZylaB · 15/04/2015 12:34

Can I fill up the thread...

ZylaB · 15/04/2015 12:35

With DH's favourite expletive at the moment....

ZylaB · 15/04/2015 12:35
