Also, Ness that sucks!

Minion · 11/04/2015 18:22

Ooh when your done with the magic miracle zyla, pass it on to me. I don't mind sloppy seconds.
TBF I think this one is teething, I didn't even know it could happen that early! She's got so much drool she's giving cujo a run for his money, biting everything which comes within a 30cm radius of her gob and is crankier than a cranky krankie!
Christ, all she has done today is whinge, sleep, eat, whinge, smile, whinge, eat, sleep, sleep, cry, sleep, and finally smiled, rolled and pissed on the waterproof mat.
Although, that's a pretty hectic schedule, I'd be knackered too.

The good news is (I'll jinx this now) nigh times aren't as bad as the other night, so popz, with any luck it's the lack of swaddle waking her. She's going back to sleep pretty quick sticks, hand on tummy, pop dummy in and off she goes. Except last night when the turds boys next door thought 9-10 was a great time for screaming...they're not kids btw, they're 15 and 17.
So I didn't feel at all bad when the husband went round this morning to drop off an order for and the dad answered (11am) and was mega grumpy as he'd only just got up..
Ha!
He's ok really.

ZylaB · 11/04/2015 19:14

ness that's not fair, poor you!

wil yes, sounds identical...perhaps theyd not cry in front of each other?! :)

ZylaB · 11/04/2015 19:15

That said, she's just turned round and beamed at me for saying hi to her after sitting her up next to me. only lasted 2 mins before screaming, but still makes me feel bad for being upset with her

ZylaB · 11/04/2015 19:20

min I've got one of those giraffe things ready for teething, like it'll be some sort of magic! I bet it's not lol ;)

WilHarlot · 11/04/2015 19:56

This is how they convince us not to give them away zyla. This one is master of the middle of the night smile so I can't possibly be cross with her for only giving me two hours sleep.

They start showing signs of teething months before you see any teeth. It comes and goes though, I guess like wisdom teeth with us. No idea if the giraffe is any good or not.

Minion · 11/04/2015 20:41

I've had a peek at her gums (whilst batting her away from munching on my knuckle) and you can def see two little white blobs through the gum. Not poking through though so think we are a little way off.
Joy!
Something's going on with her. She's getting steadily grumpier day by day. She's irritated she can't do things for herself. She's always been alert (when awake), doesn't like to lie down anymore, virtually can pull herself up into sitting and constantly trying to roll back to front.
She just won't calm the fuck down and just 'be'!

Good job she laughs that wide smiled silent giggle though. I was beginning to wonder how much I could get for her in Egypt.

TheBooMonster · 11/04/2015 22:29

grump she's been a boob fiend all afternoon, DH got home at seven and has managed... Brace yourselves viroids... 2 whole 5 minute stints with her before bringing her through practically held out at arms length so she could be reattached to the boob. Angry I used my second precious 5 mins to dump the pump bits in Milton so tomorrow I can pump from one boob whilst she's feeding from the other then present him with the baby and a bottle and baracade myself in the bathroom to do my hair and give them some enforced bloody bonding time! Tell me your menfolk are also this hands off?!

Toddler was pretty unaffected by teething apart from her nappies as far as I remember, but that could just be selective amnesia...

RPopz · 11/04/2015 22:33

I can see those white bits on minipopz's gum at the front... I hope we're way off teething though, christ.

Ooh, that's tentatively good news Min... Grin

Sorry about the screamy babies!

Gutted Ness! Time for number 2?? Wink Grin

WilHarlot · 11/04/2015 23:48

Apparently some babies are born with teeth, which i find very freaky.

MrWil is quite good at walking around with Babywil to keep her quiet. Will do it for hours to give me a rest. Not so hot on the perservering with bottle attempts or nappy changes. The bottle refusal is getting me down though. I see a long nine months ahead.

ZylaB · 12/04/2015 02:30

To be fair, DH does every nappy change and bath when he's home and also walking her around and holding her if she won't be out down when he's at home. He's away long hours though and also once or twice a week he does nights away, so it is very welcome help!

H has just done 4 and a half hours, hope she does it again when she's finished this weirdly noisy! feed.

JuniDD · 12/04/2015 07:38

MrJ was awesome when she was tiny. Now he'll read her a book for 10 minutes and is satisfied with that for the day. Just means I can do what I like without him!

She is saying Dada and lala now. It's very cute. Though the current communing with bats is a bit hard on the ears.

OP posts:
WilHarlot · 12/04/2015 07:44

Why do the traitors say 'Dada' first after all the bloody work we put in?! MrWil used to do nappies before she was in this contraption. But he is clever and knows that I'm scared he'll get it covered in shit, so pretends he doesn't know how to do it right. He flushed a pair of pants down the toilet yesterday Confused .

ZylaB · 12/04/2015 08:10

wil apparently it's to do with the sounds that are easier to make, dada is easier than mama usually, nothing to do with anything else, just order of making sounds! may have already told MrZ this so he doesn't get smug

So H did 9.45 to 6.45 with just on wake up of about 45 mins, yay H! Now feel even worse for moaning about her yesterday. Off to look at the mamas and papas Bumbo type thing today. They do one which you can strap to chairs as a high chair, I need to find out if it's alsook on the floor. I know its early to get kne but she loves sitting up so much we can support her head, or organise something with cushions until she's got the head control more stable, she is working on it though!

ZylaB · 12/04/2015 08:10

*one wake up

ZylaB · 12/04/2015 08:12

juni noises sound very cute! Can't you just give her to him for a couple of hours and see if he steps up more?

wil I almost daren't ask, but....pants flushed...how? Why?

WilHarlot · 12/04/2015 08:23

We had a similar night zyla! I personally think it was due to our moaning so don't feel bad Wink .

We have the Summer Infant Superseat. I know it's very bright and plasticky but it was great for MiniWil. It has the tray of toys to keep them entertained and which you can also put snacks on. Then you can take the insert out as they get bigger and it can be used strapped to a chair as a portable high chair. We used to take it in the car when visiting people. I'm sure the mamas and papas one will be prettier looking though.

WilHarlot · 12/04/2015 08:28

Because they had been pooed in. And I suggested holding them in the toilet whilst flushing to get bigger bits of poo off as it seemed preferable to getting poo in my sink (I got a Shock face when he realised I expected him to deal with the clean up). He let go of them because 'it had just been flushed, I didn't expect it to work properly'. So now we probably have a pair of pants clogging up our u-bend and we'll get a poo flood all over the house next time we use the toilet.

cookielove · 12/04/2015 10:07

Oh no wil men are useless all the time sometimes!

We have a Sophie, (giraffe) in the beginning E was very meh about her but now he adores her, and manically chews on her head or leg!

We also had two tiny little white marks that looked like teeth coming through ages ago but they disappeared and we have nothing. His gums are giving him lots of pain and he has a stinking cold!

Last night he threw up down me, the joys!

Nessalina · 12/04/2015 11:03

Ooh well done to the good sleepers - they must have sensed that they were about to be sold on eBay Grin

Popz - fat chance!! Grin Can't believe my body thinks I'm good to go for another one!

I had a great night quaffing wine at a friends house last night whilst my mum baby sat, got in at midnight! . Paying for it now though - 6:30 wake up call, period pains (never got them before, uterus must've gone wonky Confused) and a hangover ! Bleurgh.

TheBooMonster · 12/04/2015 12:31

Whoops wil! If it helps we've lost a number of reusable liners that way and any resulting problems have been out on the street rather than in our pipes, and they've totally been mistaken for disposable wipes though pants are less easy to mistake

WilHarlot · 12/04/2015 12:40

Haha Boo, there are quite a lot of kids on the street so maybe we'll get away with it.

Sounds great Ness. My friends are all going out this week and of course I can't go. Raging! Angry

Something is up with little miss today but can't work out what. It sounds as if something hurts.

Minion · 12/04/2015 14:11

Epic nap going on here. It involved a long walk to the waitrose, then the opposite direction to the garden centre and back again, but she's still out.
She's not done this in ages. I know it's not the start of it being better, but as long as her face doesn't look like a wet weekend when she wakes, I'll take it.

I've had one ertd at 8 weeks. Now nothing.
No at all worried there's another baking in there, not at all

JuniDD · 12/04/2015 17:34

Shock min POAS!!

So, enable me. I really need a shiny new snazzy connecta for my birthday, right?

OP posts:
ZylaB · 12/04/2015 17:37

juni DH loves carrying H in a sling and I've just been eyeing up the connects... They'd be better for bigger baby, right?? ;)

min POAS!! I just scared DH, I've had a mad manic day organising things, the last time I did THIS much in one day was 3 days before I got my bfp, I mentioned this to him mwahahahhaa.
