oi interestIngly I've had the exact same issue and so bought a calma today as well. Going to give it a go over the weekend. DS 2 was taking a bottle fine and has suddenly stopped, although he's never taken One from me. Have got an acupuncture course at the end of may so need him to start again soon! Hope the calma works, especially at that price Shock.

This reminds me of the Bill Hicks "flying saucer tour" monologue...

"I went to a gas station in Tennessee and asked for a coffee.
Man says "Yew want the 32ounce or the large?
I said wow, how big is that Large?
He said, you put your truck out back, I'll go and start the pump...
Man, that sounds like a lotta coffee.
Don't think I want to be awake that long in Tennessee...."

Hi all! Another dream of someone trying to steal minimopsy. clearly related to leaving her at nursery. At least I won't have to next week as we are off home for my sister's wedding tomorrow, spending a week at home yay!

Figgygal · 20/04/2012 07:49

Lo rolled onto his side and back last night so sure a full over roll is on the cards, he manages to shuffle all over the place by kicking his legs anyway.

Cant decide what to do today other than the huge pile of washing since havent done any since weekend. Lo now running out of clothes.......i knew there was benefits to having a shop worth of clothes in the cupboardGrin. With my car in garage dh is out tomorrow afternoon and all day sunday so feel the need to drive somewhere today rather than stomp around locally.

AnAirOfHope · 20/04/2012 07:59

Air slept all night in his own bed and i just tucked him in and he staied there and went to sleep on his own. Dh slept all night in my bed, i just tucked him in and he staied there and just slept!

DD is 2 today Grin I think I am possibly more excited about this fact than she is at the moment, but we'll be getting the presents out soon!

DeterminedandSpecialMum · 20/04/2012 08:08

Happy 2nd Birthday to your DD Kate Grin

OiMissus · 20/04/2012 08:17

Non-sleeping babies. Garrrr!
He wakes crying now, too. Which he never used to. I'm hoping it's the pain of teething that's upsetting everything, and that we get over it soon and get back to normal. Poor mite!
Third session at nursery today. This time for 2 hours. Please let him take the Calma bottle. scoob I'll let you know how we get on.

AnAirOfHope · 20/04/2012 08:22

Happy birthday to your DD kate.

Eva woke at 5 for her bottle, she normally sleeps until at least 6, she gulped 8oz in 15 minutes and would have taken more, definitely time to try baby rice again.

I need to wait in for the boiler man to come today as the heating only works when it wants to. Time to get on with the housework!

Figgygal · 20/04/2012 09:36

The poo drought has officially ended just getting him dressed and decided before put his trousers on to change his bum just about to put nappy on and boom wee and poo all over the mat and his fresh clothes!! Definitely need to crack on with the washing Grin

Off to rhyme time at local library this morning am determined to do as many activities as I can with him before I go back to work!!

Sorelip · 20/04/2012 09:37

Happy birthday to kate's DD :)

Ellis would have woken up later than 7.30am, but I fell out of bed at 6 and knocked the moses basket. He is currently asleep underneath his blanket, face and all covered. Lazy little man :o

DH is putting the cotbed up today. I'm ridiculously excited.

NorthernChinchilla · 20/04/2012 10:07

I know what it's like figgy, you leave the thread for one day and there have been two marriages, a hospital admission and a proposal before you've got back! I think four months is meant to be one of the times that babies are more likely to get separation anxiety (or whatever the baby version is), so that could be it? Glad poomageddon has finally happened.

I really hope it works out Oi - just to let you know, we had a similar thing a few weeks ago, where DS suddenly wouldn't take a bottle for a few days (we had a little routine of DP giving him a bottle of ebm at night). No magic bullet, we just kept at it for a few days with the same thing, and he relented.

DS was asleep when I went up last night (I know we were both wondering about this never) so I tried just leaving him instead of waking him for a feed. He went to half 12, then fed at half four, then woke at half 6. So just different, as opposed to massively better that the half ten, half three, half 6 Confused!

Love that aethel, got it on the shelf next to me.

Glad you had a good night air, and happy birthday to your DD Kate- are you having any sort of party?

Today is the last day proper of mat leave SNIFF SNIFF Sad. To celebrate we're going to the PO and Barclays to sort out money stuff, oh yay. We did have another lie-in though. Am watching my last Homes Under the Hammer too, what will I do without it Blush?

AnAirOfHope · 20/04/2012 11:33

House clean and tidy washing in dishes clean air gone to nursary and i have jacket with tuna for lunch all is good and im feeling better yay

BJR · 20/04/2012 12:03

Just given DS a bath and he kept trying to eat the bubbles, twas very amusing! Have a lazy day planned but may venture to tescos later, wine is needed for tonight I think.

Hope the the Calma bottle works Oi, if you haven't already tried them it might be worth trying the tommee tippee variflow teats. DS hates the normal tommee tippee ones but is fine with the variflow. Its the ones that seemed to work best for us when I stopped bf.

At least its a nice sunny day Northern so you don't have to spend your last proper ML day getting soaked! Is your DP feeling confident about staying at home next week?

Sorelip Jack likes to pull blankets over his face too, he gets really confused when hes in a sleeping bag, he can't figure out why he can't pull it up!

BeeMyBaby · 20/04/2012 12:15

missree I left DD2 playing with her free 3 vaccinations drinking cup and she spent a good 20 mins mouthing it, move over expensive toys - eating utensils are the new favs!

Also got another question re baby led weaning, just how lazy can I be with it? Can I just give her our food from the get go (likely to be well cooked courgettes, parsnips, aubergine with cumin and coriander or pasta with creme cheese)((- salt) or do I have to boil veg separately from our food for the first couple of weeks?

KateM77 · 20/04/2012 13:00

Thanks for all the birthday wishes. We're going to an open farm with little friends this afternoon. Fortunately they have an indoor soft play area so we'll be able to dash in and out between downpours. Then we're having a family tea tomorrow. No big parties yet as she won't know a thing about it, and we'll have plenty of those in years to come no doubt!

Figgygal · 20/04/2012 13:15

Ive just used the raincover on the pushchair for the first time lo didnt like being in a plastic bubble but it was that or hail stones Grin

He fell asleep at rhyme time i loved it so he will be going back cant believe its free at the library it exactly the same as the music with mummy class we went to.

neverenoughsleeportea · 20/04/2012 13:44

Am exhausted today after f moving to three wake ups a night and being up since 5. Makes me really short tempered and a horrible snappy mummy. I really hate the way I cope on so little sleep. There aren't any answers so I need to try to suck it up and be nicer.

I am such a different mum on a bit more sleep. how long do growth spurts last? And what about sleep regression?
