In other news: the boy and I just destroyed the kitchen made crispy buns so we're about to prime the DVD player and scoff the lot sample our efforts:o

Heh HLC, that reminds me of the Friends episode where Rachel made the trifle with minced beef, as the pages of the cookbook were stuck together! I'm sure your tiramasu will be lurvely though.
Now is it your farting post lentil quiche that's waking him, or his own Wink Confused?!

No sun here Rashka, still bloody raining.

Well, the five piles of washing and done and hanging out, the drying is away, the choc chip cookie dough is chilling in the fridge Grin, and I've cleaned up the kitchen post cooking, not to mention done lunch and the dishwasher, twice. Funnily enough I'm sitting and chilling with a little drinkie now...

I've also got DS sitting on my lap as I type this- he was sitting on his father, but Daddy let out such a loud yell when City scored it made the little man burst into tears, grrrr.

mopsytop · 06/05/2012 17:02

Oh dear I haven't been on myfitnesspal for ages BUT have counted points all week so here's hoping i lose on my weigh in day which is Tuesday-I'll log on and enter my weight. Decided to count points instead (the old way, with my old guides) as it's worked for me before. But will log my weight on myfitnesspal each week so you can egg me in! I am under mopsytop!

Worked all morning, then went for acwalk through the woods with my FAB new mountain buggy swift which I LOVE! Got John Lewis to price match and saved seventy quid but if it breaks can return to John Lewis woohoo (not that I want it to ever break but after hearing your nightmare story about mothercare-who was it again?-decided I needed to avoid that at all costs!). Anyway it's so light and manoevrable (sp?) but three wheeler with nice fat tires so is a dream on the bumpy terrain compared to the bulky pram I had (which, to be fair, was free and served me well enough up to now).

Now have just fed minimopsy and about to have a well warned beer-been working really hard since Thursday.

mopsytop · 06/05/2012 17:03

Well earned! Gah! Autocorrect bleeuurrgh

Sorelip · 06/05/2012 18:37

Ah crap I'm having a major broody attack. Please talk some sense into me

aethelfleda · 06/05/2012 19:16

Sorelip, if you TTC now you'll have 15 months between your DCs. Plus you'll be puking in the mornings with a needy baby who's too small to give you the slightest bit of slack. Anything smaller than 18 months gap is TOUGH.

Did that work?

AWomanCalledHorse · 06/05/2012 19:29

Sore....if you're proper broody & DP agrees I'd say go for it, you never know what's around the corner that might stop you ever ttc again.

Annnd he's crying...

NorthernChinchilla · 06/05/2012 19:44

How come sorelip? Is it a friend/relative's baby, or just a general feeling?

Rashkakeller · 06/05/2012 19:46

It worked for me, Aethel - in fact I'm tempted to give away the 2 I already have! I jest, of course I'll keep my favourite

Yep, it's true, the hot orange blob made an appearance! I even put washing on the line, which I must remember to get in soon.

Had a nice day, my mum (nonbio) came round as she's over from Spain so that kept Boo entertained for a good few hours. And Asa almost rolled over today, I reckon he'll succeed this week.

Now tell me more about crispy buns, LMF...

Sorelip · 06/05/2012 20:04

Aethel, you're completely right, of course. Realistically, it would be mayhem.

Northern, just a general feeling. DS can be such a little sod, but when he smiles at me...

I may need to speak to DH.

seven77 · 06/05/2012 20:15

Aww but remember when they were tiny babies not dribbling grizzly monsters.

I'm deprivedofchocolate on mfp if there's anyone here who I'm not already friends with.

I'm annoyed with my sister, I know it's none of my business but her and her DP were invited to a party in France in June, they don't want to take their DD (20 months) as the villa has a pool so they asked mum if she'll babysit so they can go, fair enough. My soft mum agreed thinking it'd be a couple of days, they've booked flights leaving Friday morning and coming back Tuesday night. Mum had her last night and was up at 4am, she admitted she's too old to be up at 4am with a toddler, but I know she won't say anything to my sister but she's wishing she'd said no.

LittleMissFlustered · 06/05/2012 20:52

Rashka there were two big bars of chocolate, the remains of the Easter eggs, a whole lot of melting over a pan of water and an entire box of value coco pops... I did the melting, the four year old did the rest. My kitchen is a bombsite:o There are about three dozen buns. Once my eldest comes home they'll last about thirty seconds >_<

Octoboy doesn't want to go to bed. I do. This is not going to end well. I may pull the mummy move of feeding him until he submits:o

Tomorrow there will be washing machine abuse and much drinking of tea. There may also be one or two crispy buns consumed:o I'll try to photo them and put a pic on FB before they all disappear:o

OP posts:
LittleMissFlustered · 06/05/2012 21:45

Right. Octoboy has been filled to bursting with the white stuff. I am seriously hoping he goes at leak least three hours.

Rashkakeller · 06/05/2012 22:54

Nom, I love rice krispie cakes - using coco pops? I want to. Now!

Hope all you lovely ladies get a good nights kip :)

HoneyLovesCake · 06/05/2012 23:37

Dinner was yummy (if I do say so myself). I'm not usually that fussed about mushrooms but the lasagne with truffle oil was delicious & I can honestly say that the tiramisu did not taste of garlic, thank Bob. Stuffed to bursting point now....although rice krispie cakes sound nostalgically tempting; maybe tomorrow Hmm I am definitely going to put those 4lbs back on Grin

NC I'm a laaady! I do not fart Wink

Sorelip I know what you mean, sometimes I look at DS & he makes my ovaries tingle. I say go for it but if you get pregnant before me I will be Envy

Naps were rubbish again today but he's having a good night so far, went to bed a bit later than usual due to the naps being completely off schedule so hopefully he won't wake up at 6 as he's been doing this week. Mummy could do with a lie in!

aethelfleda · 07/05/2012 06:22

sorelip, I was just obeying orders to talk you out of broodiness. Please let me know when you decide you want talking back into it...

I am not sure if DS woke me in the wee hours, he fed 11 til nearly midnight. My bosoms think he fed at 3 bit the rest pf me can't remember...

Currently very awake and playing with crazy coloured giraffe (DS, not me!) i need caffeine.....

LittleMissFlustered · 07/05/2012 07:15

Back to two hourly feeding here:(

OP posts:
DeterminedandSpecialMum · 07/05/2012 07:50

Morning All

We had a fab day yesterday at mums. Sky slept incredibly well too. The 1 night feed is getting later and later was 3am Smile Darcie is still fast asleep.

Duvet day for us today.

Those of you who are TTC I say go for it if you are ready. Won't be to Envy yet!

HoneyLovesCake · 07/05/2012 08:15

Crappy night here...literally...3 nappy changes where there should 0 >_< How can someone so small & cute be filled with so much poo? Pretty sure he nursed all night though I don't remember it, my nipples feel overworked & tired. Sitting with DS on my lap watching Timmy Time, trying to stop him diving head first into my porridge :)

Think I'm going to take DS's morning nap with him to help him sleep Wink

GeeandTee · 07/05/2012 08:20

We seem to be having our own little sleep hell regression over here. Got 4 hours sleep and that was WITH DH helping for once! Grrrr. Think its teeth, might crack open the calpol tonight.

mopsytop · 07/05/2012 08:26

Minimopsy woke up basically every half hr needing soothing. She's a bit under the weather again :( pattern seems to be nursery, get I'll, be ill for five days just in time to go back to nursery recovered only to start the cycle again. Poor minim. I'm v tired now!

OiMissus · 07/05/2012 08:41

Sssh dtd last night. Not ttc, just trying to remember how it happened in the first place. Wink
BOi stayed asleep nicely. He woke just after for his bedtime feed, then again at 4:45, so not too bad.
Today DH is helping friends move house, and I shall be cleaning the impossible to clean fishtank.
We've got sunshine again, so I may try and get out for a walk too.
But first, caffeine. Smile
This of you whose LO's are back to frequent feeds, you have my sympathies. It can be soul destroying. lmf I think it was you who said you almost felt resentful, and I certainly understand that.
This too shall pass!
We spent yesterday with my mum and dad, they are besotted with BOi, I made us all a salad for lunch, which they loved (and they need help being healthy!) and DH got to watch the football. Everyone was happy!

Figgygal · 07/05/2012 09:23

Morning all
Only had 1 stop last night 3.45 then he slept through to 7 o'clock he stayed up until around eight and now still asleep so got some housework done. DH is out all morning so I'm going to veg on the sofa I was going to restart my walking resume today but it's raining what a surprise.

Dh and I have refrained from Dtd the last week as we only using condoms at moment (even though still no period) but think I have thrush and the cream affects them, taking absolutely no chances of conceiving. I had a dream/nightmare last night that I was pregnant with twins I just can't believe how people cope with a toddler and then two newborns.

LittleMissFlustered · 07/05/2012 09:31

Right. I've had a bagel, I have a fresh cuppa and I know where the painkillers are. Today will be domestic just as soon as I can open my eyes wide without it feeling as though somebody is poking me in them with sporks >_

LittleMissFlustered · 07/05/2012 09:40

Almost forgot that I need to feed Herman too >_< The things I do for my kids!
