Ooops, forgot to say...hope you feel better today LMF

GeeandTee · 06/05/2012 07:59

Bleurgh, I kind of wish DD had never slept through as waking multiple times in the night is now even more annoying when I know she can go the whole night! Fed at 2.30, she wouldn't go back down til 4 then woke every half hour. Not sure if it is teeth or what. I picked her up at 7.20 to feed her and she fell asleep on my shoulder so am sitting in bed MNing until she wakes up.

At least DS is better. His high temp and grizzles lasted 48hrs and then just vanished. He was a happy little boy yesterday and ate reaLly well too. Viruses like that are weird.

DeterminedandSpecialMum · 06/05/2012 08:08

HLC for your DH!

LMF Chin up Smile your doing a fab job.

Sky only woke once last night so feeling alot more refreshed this morning.

We are spending the day at my parents as we are having an eat & play cards afternoon. will be making Beef Stroganoff & Sweet Potato & Choc cake to take along.

Hope you ladies have a relaxing Sunday.

Figgygal · 06/05/2012 08:36

AWCH a fear of cranes wow that is special people take the piss out of my bAlloon and fish phobia, I can't go near dh fish tank if the lid is open am convinced one of them will leap out At me.

Well lo wouldn't nap yesterday afternoon until 7pm he then woke up at 8.15 which is usually bedtime so he stayed up until almost 10 he then slept until 5 had a bottle then until 7.45 waking with a poosplosion needing a full clothes change. So I feel a bit more human this am but know exactly how you feel Gee we had 8/9 weeks of sleeping thru its horrible to be out of the habit.

OiMissus · 06/05/2012 09:01

Pom poms over here please! BOi slept thru'! He fell asleep at 6:30pm, fed at 9:30 and at 12:30 (when we went to bed) and then slept til 6:30! Fed him and then we slept til 8:30am. Hurrah!
Of course, it would've been better if I hadn't woken at 4:30 to have a wee coughing fit, but at least BOi only stirred and carried on sleeping.
Hurrah!
Now I just need to shake this cold, and the email telling me I won last night's lottery, and the day will be complete.
BOi is... 21 or 22 weeks today? Not sure anymore < pootles off to find rice krispies and a calendar >
have a lovely day everyone.
(yes, aethel, do not do as I did buying fancy tech bottles and a variety of milks, he'll get it. Glad your LO caught on too scooby. Grin)

OiMissus · 06/05/2012 09:02

21weeks yesterday. Today is Sunday. Doh!

aethelfleda · 06/05/2012 09:42

Hey, no criticism meant with the multiple milks oi, I've had lots of friends who have done exactly the same, my failure to do so is more laziness than anything else (plus I'm a cheapskate and loth to throw away aptumil: at least the EBM I chuck away is free!!!) have prepared a 2 oz bottle for him to spit out when we're visiting my SIL later... Am going back to the more traditional apple puree weaning f

OiMissus · 06/05/2012 09:44

Forgot to say, been invited to a celebratory manager party meeting in Orlando in December. GrinGrin No more details but it's the week before BOi's birthday. Shame it's Orlando really, as it'd be wasted on BOI if I tagged a holiday into it... Will look into temperatures, maybe still worth getting DH and BOi over...

aethelfleda · 06/05/2012 09:46

Arg, pressed post... Glad to hear Boi did well and yay for Figgyboy too!

On a less positive note I made the mistake of getting on the scales (gulp) and have hit the fifteen stone mark (and no, I'm not six foot five!) Heaviest I've ever been, but don't want to diet while solely BFing. Oh well, last time I have to do this at least!

OiMissus · 06/05/2012 09:47

I didn't take it as criticism. No worries. First time mum trying everything in a panic. I know better now. Time and patience. And breathe. Smile

OiMissus · 06/05/2012 09:48

As the weather gets nicer, we'll be able to get out more with the pram. I'm hoping this will help shake off an extra pound or so.

seven77 · 06/05/2012 10:47

Well done on sleeping through BOi, keep it up.

aethel I'm just under 15 and I'm not BFing so I've no excuse. I've fallen off the diet wagon, time to get back on.

DS had a terrible night, he woke at 3 then didn't really settle again until gone 4. He's woken at 3 most nights for the last week but I've no idea why. We're having a lazy day watching cars 2.

seven77 · 06/05/2012 10:52

Just looked on myfitnesspal and I'm not the only one who hasn't been logging in, come on ladies!

LittleMissFlustered · 06/05/2012 11:00

I'm 20:/ Haven't been in a good frame if mind for behaving it has to be said. Will start again on Tuesday when I'm not home and near the toaster.

Aethel/Seven/LMF I'm 15.10. Or was when I registered with the new GP. I was 16.1 at my booking in appoitnment this time last year.

I haven't yet touched the Ben & Jerry's. But have eaten all the other treats in the house. nowillpower.com

Must get dressed and go and let Mum's cats out or I'll be cleaning up all kinds of mess.......

NorthernChinchilla · 06/05/2012 11:50

The only good thing to say about missing the Beasties live is at least the arse of an ex is an ex AWCH. I was lucky enough to catch them in Manchester about 10/12 years ago (think it's that long, aaaaargh!) when they were touring Intergalactic with the revolving stage. I managed to blag my way onto the main floor bit and ended up dancing wearing jeans, bra and just bodywarmer over the top it was so hot.

Hope you start to perk up a little LMF. Everyone on this thread is in awe of how you manage it all. Vent and rant if you need it, or come on here for some virtual hugs, whatever helps.

I know exactly what you mean HLC (loving the commune idea by the way, if only so I can get some of your cooking!) I used to do the same thing, to sort of burn off the anger and get something productive done. They don't deserve it! Glad you got some good sleep though.

DS stirred every couple of hours, but just had his dummy replaced and was fine. He's upped what he's having from the bottles in the day, so it looks like he's balancing it out nicely- sorry I didn't get the actual sleeping through that DP did, but it wasn't too bad. Two weeks now of managing four bfs (one is expressed) and three bottles of formula, so am really pleased it's worked out and I've stuck with it after returning to work.

Today we are mostly throwing things away.... well, for recycling, DP will be off to the recycling centre in the week. And washing what we're keeping. I have made DP purge his clothing, he hoards so much crap he doesn't wear!
All my maternity stuff and our winter coats, etc, have now been packed away; all of my 'normal' clothes have been unpacked. The work stuff I'm washing and sorting, but the jumpers and tees I'll just do on an as and when basis- I've already got six loads to do today and am not doing any more!

AWomanCalledHorse · 06/05/2012 12:11

What is this myfitness pal group of which you speak!? Room for another one? How do I add ppl?

for BOi! Go to Florida and bring him back something nice to celebrate Grin

Northen, wow! Organised! I'm on the webmachine looking for a new iron, ours broke...thankfully I've ironed all of DH's shirts so we don't need it asap.
Well done for sticking out on the BF!

LMF. This too shall pass, hope you're feeling better. x

Where shall we build this commune HLC, can it be near a bakery?

DS was a nightmare last night so I had to look after him a bit...so DH is looking after him all day today to make up for it.

LittleMissFlustered · 06/05/2012 12:17

This is going to pass. Four year old currently sulking but Octoboy and I are ignoring him and watching Maestro.

MyFitnessPal is an app for smartphones and a web page. Register and join the motley crew of us who are currently ignoring it:o

Funny, I'm sure someone said we needed to clean the house & yet that someone is asleep on the sofa Hmm Meanwhile I've put a wash on & out, made Tiramisu's (which I may have accidentally laced with garlic by chopping chocolate on the wrong board...oops) & finally settled DS for the second half of his morning nap after a 2 hour long battle during which he screamed like he was in agony :( And all because a fart woke him up :)

Bet you're not so interested in my cooking now NC

Jinxed myself; he just woke crying & farting again...could it be something I ate???

Rashkakeller · 06/05/2012 12:20

I've always said if I was 6 foot, I'd be the perfect height for my weight!! Unfortunately I'm a short arse with overly large boobs, even when not breastfeeding! I might see 12 something next week instead of 13 something for the first time in ages, as long as I can find a bit of will power.

Ds did 7.30pm-6am last night - must have heard my prayers following the consumption of wine!

I see sun today!

HoneyLovesCake · 06/05/2012 12:20

Crosspost AWCH it can be but if not I'm more than happy to bake an array of goodies daily Grin

AWomanCalledHorse · 06/05/2012 12:41

Ok, just registered for MyfitnessPal...called myself MrsBinkyS, are you all registered under your MN names?

Rash, what is this 'sun' of which you speak??

HLC, fancy another for him? Sorry DS is being so gassy, have you eaten anything different recently?

HoneyLovesCake · 06/05/2012 12:45

Meh I'm over it, damned if I'm cleaning though...just sitting down for a spot of lunch. Leftover lentil quiche...I wonder if that's what's making him gassy Hmm

Sorelip · 06/05/2012 14:56

How do you add friends on MFP? I'm trying to add you AWoman but I have nooo idea how to.

LittleMissFlustered · 06/05/2012 15:00

On the iPhone app you go to the friends tab at the bottom, then the one at the top and you should get the option to add a friend there:)
