ponyo Anna has been on milk for a good while now, I've just done a cold turkey switch with all 3 of mine with no problems at all. Mr W thought the running was ok too, he's well out of shape and is obviously carrying an appendix shaped injury Grin but he was able to do it. We are on the bare bones of our arse here but there are some levels of meaness I can't abide Grin and watering down tomato sauce is one of them!

blizy I really enjoyed Tinker Tailor .... but not sure it was up to all its rave reviews. Although I think my Ryan Gosling film spree has ruined all other films for me Blush. Still think Drive was the best film of last year Grin

PS I have a confession - I watched Top Gear [shudder], solely to see Michael Fassbender on it Blush. I'm a bit teenagey aren't I Blush

Hey all,

Well done MrW and ponyo on starting c25k. I'm still slogging through it, had to take a week off cos my hip went weird but I went out Friday and Sunday. Been a norty norty girl with sw this week though, my days are fine but in the evenings it's like I just can't stop eating Blush. I got my 4 stone award last week, I'm going to have to give it back tomorrow, aren't I Grin Blush

reastie 1.5 flipping marvelloso you brilliant person :)

ledkr DH gets cluster migraines, and he watched a documentary last night which said a man in the USA cured his cluster migraines by taking magic mushrooms. DH is now intent on procuring some Hmm. PM me your address and I'll send you some too Wink Migraines are the utter utter pits.

ponyo S has been on cows milk for 4 months a few weeks now, is doing fine Grin

Got S some shoes today to avoid any more paddies when we're out and she wants to chase her sister down. Her feet were too diddy for walking shoes (3G) so she's in cute pink cruisers. I think Imy is the most excited out of all of us, she tells everyone about her sister's new shoes. Cute this morning- went into their room to get them out of bed and Imy had got into S's cot with her and they were reading a book together (altogether now, aaaahhhhh Smile) THAT'S why you need to have at least 2 children they entertain themselves so you can MN they're so cute!

Four4me · 20/02/2012 21:14

Oh god blizy what a bad boy.

Hope you are feeling better now ledkr take care. Oh and hope you dsis and her dh get some leave sorted.

Hope you have a better day tomorrow ponyo

debka don't tell anyone, but all 3 of mine played for ages today after I came in from work, together, alone in the spare playroom. I even had a shower and watched my hair - it was bloody brilliant Grin

44me oh no- poor Imogen and poorer you!

Debka- I teared up a bit at the thought of your 2 girlies snuggled up in the cot reading together. So cute. Grin

ILovePonyo · 20/02/2012 21:33

deb awww to your girls! Maybe I'll borrow Imy one day... Wink

four4 oh no, poor Imogen! Hope she gets bteer very soon, how are you doing?

reastie I forgot to say well done too you star - you've not been back that long and you got a 1.5 - brilliant!

wiggles top gear Shock Meant to say to you and deb - have 6 year old cousin here to entertain A at the weekend was brillaint, he is a lovely little boy and is soooo good with A, she loved him too :) Still not changed my mind on more babies - though I did say to dp if we had another it would have to be when A is about 5 years old - we can;t afford 2 lots of nursery fees and more importantly, she can entertain the new baby Grin

Is anyone a sky tv customer? On their sky rewards page they are doing 2 free tickets to disneyland paris. You cn use them anytime between april and oct - dp seems to think A will be too small to appreciate it - thoughts anyone!?

ledkr · 20/02/2012 21:34

ponyo We went on a kind of improve your health at work course today and we all just moaned constantly about timescales and rules and policies and not getting proper lunchbreaks etc. We have to hotdesk but people still get all territorial about their desks,im thinking of looking for something else actually. Did you get my tip re Death Valley, you will love it and Grimm is pretty good too.
wiggs I have the c25k downloaded and im intent on doing it but i feel a bit stupid as well as always feeling under the weather.
44It really is like an infirmary at your house isnt it? At least you are getting it all over with.

ILovePonyo · 20/02/2012 21:37

x post ledkr we are watching Grimm at the moment and I meant to say - I have recorded Death Valley just not got around to watching it yet. Got a few episodes saved up now (woo)!
We have to hotdesk too, and people get territorial about it, its so annoying. I'm lucky I dont have a massive caseload like social workers do, I'm also thinking of looking for another job but don't know what will pay like this one tht I'm trained for.

Four4me · 20/02/2012 21:55

Am kind of pleased she has got them, it is just over 2 weeks since Archie got his first spot so about right timing. Hopefully she won't be too poorly with them. At least now they will all have had the pox.

My four play lovely together. Archie is never happier than sat in the middle of the playroom with balls flying, playing dens and generally tipping toys out everywhere with the rest of the pose. X

wigglesrock · 20/02/2012 22:43

blizy and reastie Watched Homeland, loved it, mind you I'd watch my own hair Blush

Night night xx

OP posts:
ledkr · 20/02/2012 22:55

ponyo Im the same re pay.I dont know another job i can work so few hours for same amount of money,i just grin and bare it.
Meant to ask you if you kow much about housing ben? When ds has to give up work for his dyalisis/transplant he will have to claim dla and sickness benefit,he is in rented with his gf who has a pretty min wage job, will he get hb with her working too?
44 Dilly and Ella play this mad game of crawling around the house squealing,D likes it best in the nude, she likes to treat us to a lovely view of her arse Grin She actually calls Ella Ella! then crawls off fast to get her to play.

k2togm1 · 21/02/2012 11:06

Wow i'm keeping up! It won't last though, it's only cause p is poorly and does a lot of sleeping instead of his usual tazmanian devil self. Well done reastie.! I have one coming up soon and i'm so behind with paperwork and do feel rusty. Ponyo I am just coming to terms with just having one for similar reasons, but the cute tales here do make me wonder.

americanexpat · 21/02/2012 11:35

knitta - such a clever name. Grin What are you sewing/knitting these days?

ledkr - good luck to your sister, I hope he can get some time off. I was a mess 2 days after L's birth, couldn't stop sobbing in hospital. Blush It was probably the hormones but thank god DH was there.

reastie - well done, I think we all know you're a wonderful teacher. How are you feeling about work now?

Ponyo - I think she'd be too young to fully appreciate it but I'd go anyway because I'd enjoy it. Grin

L has started waking during the night again and screaming. Not just crying but screaming like he's in pain. I gave him some paracetamol when he woke the first time around 9 and it seemed to calm him but he was up again during the night (made DH deal with it). Maybe his last molar is coming through?

k2togm1 · 21/02/2012 11:57

Shock last molar??? expat thanks, meant to ask how you are feeling?

Ledkr also meant to add that it must be really hard for your sis, hope they sort something out.

Ponyo I loved disneyworld in orlando when I went many many years ago (as a 20 year old!!) so I'd surely enjoy it now again!

k2togm1 · 21/02/2012 11:58

argggh, expat, I'm knitting a hat for dh, have knitted many for P already, and have to sew a blackout curtain soon but don't get much chance of setting machine up, etc. Also got given an old knitting machine by a friend some months ago but have not been able to set it up either... and you?

americanexpat · 21/02/2012 12:08

knitta - I'm a slattern and keep the sewing machine out on the dining room table. Grin Needless to say, we eat in the kitchen. I'm working on a pair of trousers, trying to get the fit right. I have the fabric and pattern for a wrap top but won't let myself start it until the trousers are done (otherwise they'll never get finished). I also have a jumper on the go but making slow progress.

Still have a dodgy tummy and I'm absolutely roasting today. I threw open the office windows and now everyone is keeping their distance. Grin

americanexpat · 21/02/2012 12:11

knitta - I'm also enrolled in a quilting class starting in a few weeks. Really looking forward to it and I'm nearly beside myself thinking about picking out the fabrics. [dork] Grin

Emski76 · 21/02/2012 12:58

Well done to Reastie for your good mark from the Ofsted report. You must be so pleased. Has it made you feel any better about work?

Am very jealous of Knitta and Expat for being so good with a needle(?!). I am currently cross stithcing a picture for Noah of Noah's ark with his name and date of birth on. i started it ages ago and have just got back into it. Wish I was a bit more 'crafty' though. Let us know how you get on at your class Expat.

Ponyo, we're off to EuroDisney on my birthday in May, its more for Ben than Noah but I expect he will get a little enjoyment out it, I know I will! I can't wait to see Ben's face when he sees it all!

Deb, I love your tale of the two girls in S's cot reading a book. So sweet!

Noah's birthday was fab, he had so much stuff! In laws bought him a toy washing machine, its a mini Hotpoint and he loves it! We went to soft play then for a meal at a local Beefeater, then........wait for it.......went to The Range to buy me a new ironing board cover.....the highlight of the day!

Hope your all ok. I'm blooming freezing, this office has NO heating on and my hands are cold! Oh, and the Bitch I had a falling out with last month is back from her holiday to Oz. I cannot stand the woman! She just grates on me! Deep breaths Em......

ILovePonyo · 21/02/2012 15:44

Just a quick one whilst I'm waiting for my car to be cleaned Grin

Ledkr I can't say for definite but I don't think there's much of a chance of HB even if his girlfriend is on low income. Still worth filling the form in tho? Is he ok doing dla form, they are buggers to complete. If there's an advice centre near you maybe get them to do it. When is he having to stop work?

Knitta (love how everyone still calls you that Grin) glad you understand my reasoning behind only having 1 baby! I'd love to take A to Florida when she's older, best start saving now then I suppose Hmm hope P is better soon.

Erm... Hi everyone else once again my memory has failed me Blush
Work was better today but that's cos I was out of the office most of the time. Back later car is ready and all shiny Grin

ILovePonyo · 21/02/2012 15:46

Oh emski lucky you going euro Disney, that'll be lovely! Hope the bitch woman has kept her distance today Angry

blizy · 21/02/2012 17:06

Emski I am very Envy of Disney land. Dh and I went a few years ago, I ran off chasing mickey mouse like a big exited kid! Dh was mortified. Grin

I have had an ok day, made pancakes for the kids after school snack they went down a treat! I feel a migraine coming on so I'm heading to bed( I blame you ledkr for passing it on)..Grin
