Emski - hope Noah has a fab party!

All the family I need is Dh, my dad and bros/sis (bar 1). I have accepted that, it's there loss not mine!

I'm having a lovely relaxing day with Dh
Cuddling up on the couch with some DVD's.

I hope you all have a lovely Sunday.Smile

Four4me · 19/02/2012 13:53

Well done blizy for being so dignified about your 'families' awful behaviour.

Hope Noahski has a great b'day party.

Well deb I have had a read of your thread in chat, you have been amazing and apart from demented Fabby they have given some great advice. It'll be in classics next. Good on you for being so proactive, you are on a mission this year what with all the sw and exercise. You'll be mn royalty next, remember we were your friends first Grin . You have created a national airing revolution........

ledkr · 19/02/2012 14:47

Fabby is mental isnt she 44 I just ignore her, cant dignify her with an answer.
blizy Glad you are having a nice day, stupid family, karma may visit one day though.
ponyo come back immediately and tell us about pil rows.
pils are here, not too annoying but id rather be chillin. Im going to be watching the footy soon anyway.
Last night which will be our only sat night for ages,we had just got comfy with a dvd and fucking dh's phone rings. It his older grinning friend who im sure is a closet queer. He rings to chat,is he fecking mental? Why dont people get that other peoplr enjoy their weekends and dont want to be chatting at half 9,i told dh he has to stop answering his damn phone so late,we have to go to bed so early due to our dawn waker.
And another thing yet again my long awaited lie in lasted untill 7.45 when dh let d climb the stairs squealing excitedly, really p'd off,im going to stop giving him till ten and start making a big noise. grrr.
I am moody today, the half term has really done me in and i feel a bit run down and my kidneys ache. What do others do to recharge?

ILovePonyo · 19/02/2012 17:05

Hi all, pil have left and A is snoozing next to me so am going to do a quick update on pil - mil is always talking but doesn't listen as I have said before, very tiring. Yesterday I was clearing up and she was stood talking at me when dp said something like "fgs mum leave her for a minute while she's clearing up" So that's what set her off, she cried, then just left and went out with fil for an hour, we were all just say around waiting. Bear in mind dp's gran and sil and her 2 kids were here too.
So when she came back she and dp had a big discussion in the garden, then dp and fil had a big talk, we were all still say around and I was starving, it had been 2 hours now. Eventually we went out for food but mil has been distant all weekend since then, quite childish really.
When dp and mil were talking apparently she was saying she dreads visiting us because dp is so snappy with her. He can be but it winds him up that she just talks about herself. Also fil said they were upset when dp told them he was thinking of finding his birth family, which is pretty fucking selfish imho, that's something that you have to prepare for when you adopt a child Hmm

Ahem. Sorry for rant, there is more but I don't want to waffle anymore BlushGrin

So now the house is a tip but I can't be bothered to tidy, am having a rest.

Ledkr grr to your lack of lie in, dp does the same, it's annoying when I try and get A to stay quiet when he's in bed.

I've gone on about myself so much I've forgotten everything else Blush back later...

ledkr · 19/02/2012 19:31

They are still fecking here btw Hmm D is in bed and we have eaten,i just want to put my pjs on and stretch out now.Im watching got to dance and mning but ive still got my lunch to do for work,

GO THE FUCK HOME NOW FGS

ILovePonyo · 19/02/2012 19:47

Ledkr that's rubbish, at least my pil bugger off in the evening. Go put on your pj's anyway, can you say your tired and go watch tv in bed?!

wigglesrock · 19/02/2012 19:59

ledkrs Pils Piss away off now, you hear, give her some peace, she's old and needs her rest Grin

Ponyo Aaagh to your attention seeking mil and all the huffiness and "big talks". Hope you have a nice evening.

americanexpat I know what you mean about "that bit" in the film, I was watching it going, oh no somethings going to be upsetting. Really enjoyed the film.

blizy good for you, hope you and your lobster had a lovely day xx

We just mooched about at my Mums today, my sister came up, visited my Granny, usual Sunday stuff Grin. Looking forward to Homeland tonight on C4!!

debka · 19/02/2012 22:00
Tarlia · 19/02/2012 22:36

Blizy Sending lots of love to you, your DH and little Zoe Bear. I often think of you all and cannot imagine how hard the next two weeks will be for you, but as the others said, we are hear for you and will not judge anything you need to say. You are incredibly brave xxx

Hugs to all the other mummys and babies, hope you are all well. I'm lurking in the shadows. It was nice to see knitta is still around, hope you are well. Deb I read your thread after it was mentioned, you have such a great attitude, good luck with training DH. Ledkr Have they gone?? Are they any better these days? Ponyo hope you've had a nice rest. The inlaws sound like hard work - poor DP being made to feel guilty about wanting to find blood relatives. How is he post op btw? restie Z still feeds when he feels like it, much to everyone's disdain, apparently bfing stops at 9 months max around here, bah. He always has a feed morning and evening with snacks between.

tadjennyp · 20/02/2012 00:16

Hi Tarlia, nice to see you again. Sorry you are still having problems with your ILs. S feeds at least 4 times a day still. I feel like stopping but I'm not sure how to go about it at this age!

Sorry about your family blizy, how flipping dare they? Ledkr's and Ponyo's seem to be rounding off a weekend of bad behaviour too. Sorry, esp for Ponyo's dp. Sad

Wiggles' Sunday sounds like bliss though. Glad you had a great time this weekend.

Proud to know debka - what a great thread and v brave of you to post. I have aired my house several times since, too! And everyone's right, your dds are gorgeous!

Hope Noah has a great birthday Emski.

We've just got back from part one of A towing her girl scout cookies round the neighbourhood in her red wagon. She's got so many to deliver!

Hope the little ones give you all a good night's sleep and you have a great start to the week. x

blizy · 20/02/2012 07:03

Happy birthday to Noah, hope you have a fab day! X

Today was Zoe's due date, I have lots to do today so hopefully I will be kept busy.

Ponyo- sorry to hear you have outlaw problems. I really feel for you dp.

Ledkr- I'm glad the pils finally left!

Tarlia- thank you. It's good to hear from you.Grin. I'm glad z is doing well, he will give up his bf when he and you are ready. Take no notice of local guidelines.

I hope everyone has a good day.

blizy · 20/02/2012 07:04

Sorry, tad- I hope Anna manages to sell all of her cookies.

wigglesrock · 20/02/2012 07:15

Tarlia lovely to hear from you and Z

emski Happy birthday Noah

tad Anna can send some my way Grin

blizy xxxxx will think of you, you just do whatever gets you through today sweetheart.

OP posts:
tadjennyp · 20/02/2012 07:34

Thinking of you again today blizy xxx.

The cookies are not helping shift that baby weight, wiggles! Walking round the streets might help a bit though.

Good Mondays everyone. Watched the Christmas special of Downton Abbey tonight on TV and heading to bed now. Night all.

americanexpat · 20/02/2012 09:25

blizy - I'm thinking about you today. Xx

Emski - Happy birthday to Noah. Everyone knows this is the best birthday in the year. Grin

ledkr and Ponyo - sorry about the PIL problems. Sometimes I'm thankful mine live so far away.

DH and I had planned to go out for my birthday tonight but we both still have dodgy tummies so it's been postponed. A bit of a crap birthday to be honest, slightly better than last year when I had a baby who was up all night crying. We should've been cosleeping but I let the midwives wind me up about it. Hmm

Emski76 · 20/02/2012 09:43

Oh Blizy, I didn't know try was Zoe's due date. Will be thinking of you today and lighting Zoe's candle tonight xxxxx

Four4me · 20/02/2012 09:58

Happy birthday to Noahski and American

Big hugs to blizy slightly tighter than normal. X

Waves to talia Archie still has bf morning, lunch, tea and bedtime. Was hoping to drop the two daytime ones but he was so ill with chickenpox and d&v so I just kept going. My dh laughs when people are shocked about me still feeding him, he says 'oh 44me will be chasing him down the aisle on his wedding day asking if he wants some boobie!!!' that shuts them up. My precious last born.

tad can we have a cookie delivery in N Yorkshire? Promise a warm welcome when you get here!!! Grin

Shock at pil behaviour for ledkrand ponyo luckily mine live close by so we never have overnight relatives. They probably wouldn't want to come anyway as we have such a bloody noisy and chaotic large family. Anyway they just get allocated a job!!

k2togm1 · 20/02/2012 10:23

Hello again! just testing you all with my never-stopping-name-chaging, guess who I am? yes, knitta. I am finally ready to go back to a knitting name (knit two together, make one, see, it makes sense). Mainly because I don't think we'll be feeding P any peas for a while after that was the last thing he ate before being ill for the past 5 days, vomit, the most awful loose nappies, just vile. The world is truly fucked up now that those things are going into lanfill, sorry everyone.

wiggles who said it gets harder? they cannot possibly be right!!! Can i run and hide?

Deb I am off to read your thread now, but after 5 days of this illness yesterday we managed to clean up a bit and, yes, open a window or two, I even had a bath and a haircut (the mn haircut)! and wow what a difference cleanliness makes, never mind that he carried on vomiting and diarrhaering.

Blizy thinking of you. It's going to be tough these days. Don't really know what to say that has not been said already Sad and can only offer another hand to hold.

reastie · 20/02/2012 15:23

hello knitta milkmachine peas k2togm1 - are you trying to confused me Wink

blizy how are you doing? [hugs]

american Sad to birthday not quite being as you planned

saint deb how is the house? I did another airing upstairs today in honour of you Grin

wiggles how was homeland? I recorded it - was it worth it?

ponyo how annoying re: MIL. ledkr hope Ella eventually got to sleep

Well, Can I do a little boast please? When we were inspected last week we were all graded on our teaching between 1 and 5 (1 = the best). Found out today I got 1.5 Grin . I am a bit of a perfectionist so part of me is annoyed I didn't get 1, but I can't complain Grin blame it on only being back a few weeks after so long and being a bit rusty

blizy · 20/02/2012 17:27

Thank you all for the hugs and hand holding, very much needed and appreciated.

I like the new name k2togm1, plese keep this one for a while.Grin

reastie A huge well done to you!

emski How was Noah's party?

Today has been ok, I have kept myself busy doing odd jobs around the house.
During the school pick up today one of my mindees took a full on run up and really kicked a car full force.Shock What he didn't notice though the owner was sitting in the drivers seat. Queue driver bursting out of car screaming at me to "control your fucking child"! I was mortified, he done it with absolutley no provocation. I gave him an extremely stern telling off and passed the incident onto his uncle (who collected from me). I am looking forward to what his dad says tomorrow, he is of the parenting where his children can do no wrong.Angry

ledkr · 20/02/2012 19:24

blizy thats all you need today isnt it?Little fucker Grin Remember over the next few days we are all here for you you will never be alone.

tarlia nice to hear from you. I bf the boys and didnt stop until they stopped having milk cos i was lazy and liked staying skinny.

I have had the shitest day,d woke at 5 Hmm dh got up and i wen back to sleep till 7 then woke up with a headache that has gradually turned into a migraine at work,i puked then left early for the 30 mins journey home, had to stop at asda for nappies and puked again in the carpark. Im home now,d in bed and ive taken some mega pain killers dh at football but home soon.

Does anyone else feel that they are always ill since having the babies.

Im feeling so sad for my dsis and her dp.He has recently started a new teaching job so isnt entitled to pat leave so went back today only 2 days after baby born,he cried apparently poor bloke. I cant imagine if he will be able to teach.Apparently they are finding out if he can have some unpaid so fingers crossed. In the meantime my poor sis is alone apart from family.Quite sad i think.

wigglesrock · 20/02/2012 20:07

ledkr that's sad re your sister and her dp, Mr W had one day off when I had Olivia, he was training for his current job and if you missed two days off you had to go back and start the training again, so he took the day off I came home from hospital, it was really difficult. Hope he can get some time off, it'll make a real difference.

PS Feel better, get yourself to GP if you can, just to check iron etc xx

blizy is the child one of the brothers? Grin xx

reastie We too ended up "taping" Homeland, am knackered this week, infact we all are in Wiggles household and we've all slept fairly decently Hmm Well done on your grading Grin

k2togm1 like the name Grin

americanexpat Happy Birthday

debka how are you getting on with the running? Mr W started the couch to 5k today!!!

OP posts:
blizy · 20/02/2012 20:17

Ledkr- hope you feel better soon, migraines are super yuck! That's sad about your sis and her dp, I hope he manages to get some time off.

Wiggles- it is Indeed one of the brothers- lovely children [sarcastic emoticon]. I'm the same here with tiredness, it does help when I can sleep though.

Hope the girls are well.

I eat he'd homeland last night, I really enjoyed it. Dh and I watched tinker, tailor, soldier spy yesterday. We both thought it was pants. Grin

ILovePonyo · 20/02/2012 20:57

Hi all, I've had a crap day at work too, not as bad as ledkrs to be honest but just people moaning and making me feel shit. Wont go into it as boring but I'm not looking forward to tomorrow.

Thanks all for being nice about pil. Dp said he shouldnt' feel like he has to debrief after every visit, which he (and I) do at the moment! tarlia he is all better from his op, thanks for asking :)

wiggles and deb I did the firt couchto5k today too! I found it ok tbh, not that I'm superfit, the running wasn't easy and I got a stitch, but think I'll tackle it again on wed! Oh annoying thing was running past some lad smoking a spliff who blew smoke out just as I ran past Hmm Grin

blizy oh no to little terror! Did you shout back at the man in the car "I'M THE CHILDMINDER!!" Well done getting through today, is dh around this week?

knitta/peas/k2togm1 I like the new name too but wouldn't have a clue what it meant if you hadn't explained! Sorry to hear about poor P's upset tum :( How did the mumsnet haircut work out then? I want to try but am a scaredypants.

ledkr your poor sis and bil, I feel for them both, I was a mess 2 days post birth.

tarlia glad your still here even if its only lurking - remind me where you live? (asking because of the bf commments) (nosy Grin)

I'm watching that superscrimpers programme, now I'm not rich but is it bad that I scoff at someone getting every last drop out of their ketchup by watering it down with vinegar Hmm And there was just a young couple who went on a scrimpers valentines break - the chap would usually have a steak to eat for romantic meal but had to have a crappy plain pizza instead Grin

Oh which babies are having just cows milk now? I've just finished off the tub of formula so A will be having full fat cows milk from tomo eveing (eek!)
