Hello! It's me. I thought I'd start a thread which is VERY cheeky for someone who's not been around for AGES! Grin

Oh hooray! I hope you have the baby tonight :)

myjob - Q is dry at night as well, but I admire you taking the nappies away. I'm too afraid of the 1% chance of an accident and the mess to clean up. I just need to get another mattress protector, then I can do it. Q doesn't ever want to do a wee, but will say "I am dancing! I am running like a chicken!" when he's doing his little dance that so obviously demonstrates his need for a wee Grin. If we tell him to do a wee on the potty, he'll do it. If we ask him, he'll say "no, no wee wees in there". But he's dry so that's all that matters, I guess.

We put in an offer on a house and waiting to hear back :) Finally, Q will have his own room and place for his toys instead of the living room. And a big back garden. Fingers crossed we get it!

Oh, have you sold your place now then star?

HavePatience · 09/05/2011 22:08

Yes! We have! We're in negative equity, but c&g are being very very helpful :)

pepperrabbit · 09/05/2011 22:31

ooh star - how exciting!
I am very Envy of all the potty training successes. DD will not countenance the idea still. We even visited princess knickers in Asda today (and Peppa Pig ones and spotty ones and pink ones.......)
"I NOT a big girl" she's shouting from the trolley with a mutinous little face.

KSal · 10/05/2011 11:52

Star that is so exciting about the house.

on the potty training front, Emma has been nappy-less at night for a while now (after advice from you guys) because she had a bad rash and she's been totally dry (touch wood). that and daily metanium seem to have helped with the rash... although i'm still a bit Hmm about having nappy rash with no nappy.

anyway... been back at work almost a week now.... it is all very strange suddenly being in an office again. I'm desperately trying to get my brain working in that way again.

pistachio - hope you don't have to wait too long!

CSWS, hope coping with three is going ok (that's not including the mice of course). My mind is boggled by how i put two of them to bed on my own tomorrow let alone three.

HavePatience · 10/05/2011 20:44

do you think it could be eczema Ksal?

Spanner in the works with our mortgage company today. Apparently we don't qualify for the negative equity scheme if we're buying a property that costs more... which is so stupid because it won't help many people. We'll have to find more money.... it's all really stressful right now. But the vendors have accepted our offer... so if we can sort it all out, we have a house. If not, we are stuck in a 1 bed low leasehold maisonette forever. :(

Pistachio are you still pregnant? Grin Happy birthday for last week.
I am a very bad MNetter at the moment. My life is disappearing before my eyes.
Hello everyone. Waving.

CantSleepWontSleep · 10/05/2011 22:00

metanium unlikely to help if it's eczema star. I would have suggested thrush before eczema too, as that's a common cause of nappy rash.

You have shopped around for a new mortgage haven't you star?

Are you waiting til Friday 13th to have your baby pistachio?!

I have a friend who has had two babies on friday the 13th... she was worried as her third was due on halloween, but she was a bit late :)

we had a couple of different thrush creams which helped but didn't clear it... she does get a bit of excema now and again. I just think she has v. sensitive skin to be honest. Orin on the other hand has had no nappy rash to date

hope you can sort the money star :(

DD is going through a phase here - contrary and clingy at the same time. Driving me up the wall. Grrrrrr.

You want to be careful in your condition young lady!

ronshar · 11/05/2011 22:19

I just know that I will come on here and Pistachio has had to be removed from her living room ceiling having bounced herself to hard.

Coconutfeet · 12/05/2011 20:13

Still bouncing Pistachio? I've not been on for a while and wondered if you would have had the baby in the meantime. Work has gone a bit mad and I haven't had a chance to sit down and MN for ages.

Star - I really hope you get the financing sorted out. Congratulations on selling the flat. It would be so great if you could get a house - you won't know what to do with yourselves with all that space. I'm taking S to my parents' place this weekend so dp can get on with some decorating and get our place on the market soon.

Clever Naomi - we're nowhere near even being dry in the daytime. How is your ankle now? I finally had physio for mine today and I'm really glad I did as she said that the injury I had can become chronic if it's not dealt with. I must remember to do the exercises....

Bertie - I don't know if you're still after nappies. Sorry I left it so long but I'm going to be selling a selection of different coloured itti bitti nappies in size large. PM me if you're interested.

Another chemical pregnancy this month. Bah.

Waves to everyone else!

HavePatience · 12/05/2011 20:43

oh cf :( So frustration re: chemical pregnancy. That was quick after the last one sorted, though, right? Maybe that had something to do with it?

It's going to be a few years of living on bread and water, but we might be able to do it... we need to get out of here and the reality of hte situation is that a flat or maisonette is only going to be mildly cheaper than what we're getting this house for, so it's worth it just to do it.

HavePatience · 12/05/2011 20:46

Q is dry by day completely and dry by night but I still put him in a nappy Hmm. I need to stop that, but it's not bothering anyone, really. And he likes sleeping in it. And I sleep better knowing he has one on Wink

He told me he did a wee in his pants on the way to the farm after collecting him from cm this afternoon around 3.45pm. I was so not looking forward to cleaning it up and dealing with washing the carseat. When we got there and I got him out, I said "you didn't wee... did you?" and he grinned and said "I did not do a wee in my pants! Me is so funny!" Grin

HavePatience · 12/05/2011 20:48

Then he told me that he's not a baby, he's a big boy.

And apparently I'm a big boy, too Hmm

Coconutfeet · 12/05/2011 21:07

Grin at Q and his little joke. Yes, it was pretty quick, and totally unplanned (I ovulated much earlier than usual) and there are lots of reasons why it would be good for me not to be pregnant, not least that my body could do with a break, but I was disappointed. Actually I had a call from my Gp today saying she needs to talk to me about a letter from the hospital, so I'm wondering if any of my test results from the miscarriage clinic have come back abnormal. I've got to call her tomorrow.

Fingers crossed about the house. I really hope it works out. When will you know if it's a goer?

Honeymoonmummy · 12/05/2011 21:22

Hi all, sorry not read back yet. I've been to docs today for PND and have got same ADs as last time. Went paed last mon and he's given Dylan the same as pops - renitadine and domperidone, so i started those yesterday and he slept 8 hrs straight last night. Paed said dairy free wouldn't help him but I left it until today before going back on dairy so gave it 2 weeks, hes got worse over this period rather than improved but it was worth a try... Not lost any weight either!! He also mentioned early weaning. Sorry it's a me me me post, I'm a bit meh at the moment! Sad

Coconutfeet · 12/05/2011 21:42

Sorry to hear that HMM. Were the ADs helpful last time round? I really they start working quickly for you and you start feeling better. Just saw your pic of P on FB btw. What a gorgeous little girl you have!
