Hello! It's me. I thought I'd start a thread which is VERY cheeky for someone who's not been around for AGES! Grin

Oh and congratulations Pistachio. A beautiful name for another beautiful baby.

HavePatience · 13/05/2011 22:47

I know! That's incredible! How does one physically do that?

Csws I just think porridge pancakes sound tasty :)

ronshar · 13/05/2011 22:49

I could explain it to you but I know you will just puke.

ronshar · 13/05/2011 22:52

Enough I really need to go to bed. Stop talking to me.

CakeandRoses · 13/05/2011 23:05

I don't even know pistachio and i'm all excited and broody and crossing my legs at the size. Congratulations!!

swearing is infectious isn't it? i rarely swear in RL but swear like a fucking trooper on mn Hmm

ronshar i do believe you called me caksandroses Grin

CakeandRoses · 14/05/2011 00:37

oh and star , there's no equivalent to a valley girl here but an essex girl is, like, totally the closest thing we brits have.

Oh my good god, no stitches?? Wow! That is such an amazing birth story and such amazing photos, they've made me feel really emotional [HMM slaps herself] I'm so happy for you and hope you didn't have any newborn size clothes for her!! WinkSmile x

Ha ha to "you will puke" and "caks". Cake, I should explain that we are all friends on facebook too, if you want to lose your anonymity join us on there then request an invitation to our group, which I don't know the exact name of at the moment but I think if you do a search for 'mumsnet 2008' you should find us. Or you might prefer to wait a while. It's up to you Smile

HavePatience · 14/05/2011 13:53

Wow! No stitches? Incredible!

Ronshar Grin

I an completely amazed that you naturally did that, pistachio. Well done to you!

Coconutfeet · 14/05/2011 15:00

Oh Pistachio, what an amazing story. Well done you. I definitely got a tear in my eye reading that.

Star - I've got a student teacher in my class at the moment too. Not as hilarious-sounding (or annoying by the sound of it) as yours. Are you finding it really time consuming?

Hello and welcome to Cakesandroses.

Pepper - Have fun at the school reunion. I would find it massively stressful finding an outfit that makes me look younger/thinner/more exciting than I actually am.

pepperrabbit · 14/05/2011 20:41

Congratulations pistachio! Lovely story, thrilled for you all. Smile
Welcome cakes DD dribbles constantly at the mo as she's cutting a monster molar so I sympathise.
cf - Sad for this months news, you sound quite upbeat, take it easy. Hopefully you'll get some answers soon?
CSWS - you still alone or has DH returned yet?
ronshar - I like th esound of a jetset lifestyle! especially the Maldives - we went there on our honeymoon, was perfect.
star - can't really help on the mortgage front but generally the higher your LTV th emore you'll pay, as you represent a higher risk if it goes wrong. Once your LTV drops you may be able to re-mortgage at less painful rates?
My school reunion went really well, was lovely to catch up with everyone - we only invited the nice girls! so mostly gossip, catching up and generally a lovely afternoon.
Now, I really need to move into Birthday Party mode, as have 22 6/7 year olds to entertain tomorrow... Hmm
Reaches for more Wine

Ekka · 15/05/2011 14:15

Aaah, congratulations Pistachio - what a lovely birth! And ouch to the 10lbs 11oz.... I love the photos as well, you have a beautiful family.

Hmm, glad you've got the ADs early, I hope that they kick in for you soon.

Cf, sorry to hear about your news. Have they told you when you are likely to get answers from the clinic?

Up to my eyes in packing - why is it that dh can only get a few items out to pack at any one time???? I manage my stuff and the kids stuff in an afternoon, but no, he has so far taken over 1 week to pull together a few items of clothing (probably not enough so he'll grump about running out of clothes when we are there Hmm).

Pepper, I hope the party is going well!

CakeandRoses · 15/05/2011 18:28

Hey all,

Have just come back from a weekend at my mothers in brighton. am shattered as dh wasn't with us so i was on night duty with the two teething horrors on my own.

pepper does your dd seem to be in pain with her molar? F is a fricking horror with his.

Envy of your reunion - i'd love to go to one altho we're so old no-one would remember anyone!

honey thank you for the invite to your fb group. i would love to join (particularly as i want to drool over pistachio's newborn) but i had a look and saw that it was an 'open' group so my fb friends would see that i'm a member of it and what i post (our july10 one is 'secret' so no-one can). i don't want them to know i bitch post on MN Grin so i'm not sure what to do

pistachio beautiful story, i also got a bit moist-eyed reading that. My dd is only 9m but seeing her for the first time and giving her the first bf feels a lifetime ago already

HavePatience · 15/05/2011 19:42

HavePatience · 15/05/2011 19:47

oh ok. Can we just take that bit away? Make it so that doesn't even show up... and it can be 'secret'?

How are you pistachio? Glad Pheobe has taken to feeding so quickly. She is so cute. Are you exhausted or still on adrenaline? How are B and T enjoying their new sibling?

CakeandRoses · 15/05/2011 19:52

The three settings are:

Secret: Only members see the group, who's in it, and what members post.
Closed: Anyone can see the group and who's in it. Only members see posts.
Open: Anyone can see the group, who's in it, and what members post.

I think I found the wrong group anyway so incorrectly said it was 'open' rather than 'closed', sorry if i worried you star.

i'm prob being paranoid, i just don't want to make it too easy for anyone to make the link between me and mumsnet.

CakeandRoses · 15/05/2011 19:53

xposted star.

Please don't change the settings on my account but if you do then please let me know and i'll try to find it and join Smile

No, I'd actually prefer it was "secret", if possible. I wonder if anyone else would object.

pepperrabbit · 15/05/2011 20:03

but then we'll be so secret you'll never find us Wink
Am slumping in a corner after DS1's birthday party. have come out in horrid cold as well so was tricky to keep perky facade up, (actually these days it's tricky to keep lots of bits of me up!)
