Hello! It's me. I thought I'd start a thread which is VERY cheeky for someone who's not been around for AGES! Grin

I think DS would love Peppa World too. Maybe a good place for a meet up? :)

Pistachio sleep makes such a difference. I'm glad the weather is nice for you too, would be awful if it was still freezing. What is their policy on induction if you're suffering?

Oh that's good, at least you're not on your own. I think that's a sensible policy on induction! Must be frustrating though. :( But hey, with a home birth at least you don't have to worry about getting to hospital.

HavePatience · 02/05/2011 13:46

Pistachio, knowing how much you love childbirth, are you excited for the labour to start? Do you feel any differently with number 3 than with DD or DS?

I had a lot of the same concerns re 3rd labour pistachio, but it was my best, so fingers crossed for it being the same for you.

hmm - I think that lactulose contains lactose. Your breast milk will contain lactose regardless of what you do or don't eat, as it's simply milk sugar. If D's problem is milk protein intolerance, then the chances are that he's prob fine with you consuming some lactose, as it's not the protein, so in your position I would continue with the lactulose.

Dh gone away now and not back til 19th May - eek!

Honeymoonmummy · 03/05/2011 00:19

Good to hear u feeling better pistachio. I'm sure the labour will be fine, know exactly where you're coming from re exhaustion tho!! Smile

Long story but we just found a cat inside the arm of our sofa Hmm

Honeymoonmummy · 03/05/2011 00:23

Oh thanks csws re the lactulose. I am rather confused about what I can and can't have! Been dairy free since thurs and no noticeable improvement yet but i'm going to give it 3 weeks. Going to ask for paediatric referral tmrw, I've added DS onto my bupa so shouldn't have to wait long.

pepperrabbit · 03/05/2011 20:25

Evening all,
in no particular order..
HMM - hilarious about the cat - had it made much mess tho? Good luck with the dairy free experiment, sounds tough to workout what to eat but will hopefully make a difference soon.
CSWS - will you have help while DH is away or are you quite relaxed about the whole thing
pistachio - my 3rd labour was my best as well for several reasons, and I was tortured by thoughts that I wouldn't be lucky enough to have a healthy/perfect/baby 3 times in a row.
myjob - did DS1 enjoy going back to school
sta... havepatience - finding new name confusing still Grin [old bird emoticon] to go back a topic or two - I hate dc weeing on the grass, but sometimes it's unavoidable - they know how much I hate it too as I make such a palaver so I know they're really desperate if they need to. they also hate me shouting "mind your feet!" "Don't drip there!" or worse "Mind MY feet..."
Waves to everyone else!

CantSleepWontSleep · 03/05/2011 21:07

hmm - you can't say that you've been dairy free since Thurs when you had ice cream on Fri!!!! So it's really only day 4 today (which was a bad day for me with both dd and ds1).

pepper - Does that answer your question?! No help, no.

pepperrabbit · 03/05/2011 21:42

Oh dear. So your plan is to take one day at a time, breathe deeply a lot and thank goodness for school! Good luck.

Honeymoonmummy · 04/05/2011 04:51

I could not contemplate being without DH for 2 weeks CSWS, good luck! Take your point re the ice cream but it really was a v small
amount before DH I realised, no more than 2 tsps. Will definitely persevere but obviously am hoping it won't improve things so that I can eat dairy again! Wink

Bloody cat was outside the patio window this (yesterday) afternoon trying to get back in!!! Shouldn't have used the tuna bribe... He didn't make a mess at all which was really weird Hmm

DS is 6 weeks today (Weds) and Pops is 2.5 tmrw (Thurs) - where did that time go??? Got to wait at least another 2 weeks for my 8 6 week check up.

Evening all. Back from a very windy but lovely weekend camping. Ds had a ball and it was lovely to be out of London. I'm heading for bed in a bit as I'm knackered from taking 75 children to the British Museum today. They were brilliant and we had a great time but I always find trips exhausting.

Pistachio - Sorry to hear you're suffering so much. It sounds dreadful. Thank goodness you've got your mum nearby to help out.
Myjob - How's the foot today?
Bertie - You asked about nappies. I'll come back on again tomorrow and tell you what I'm selling as I can't remember what they're called and I'm too tired to shift my bum off the sofa. Smile
Waves to everyone else!

Honeymoonmummy · 05/05/2011 13:36

Hi all,

Pistachio, I'm so glad to hear you're a bit better.

CF I'm so jealous re you going camping, I can't wait to go but think better wait until june when it's a bit warmer for DSs first camping trip.

I had my third solo outing with the kids this morning to a toddler group, it's def getting eAsier with practice, altho I stupidly accepted someones offer of a cup of tea and a biscuit while feeding DS then realised I couldnt have it [dumbass] it's been a week FFS!!! Thankfully I realised before I had any!

There was a lady at toddler group who does baby yoga and she showed me a good move for reflux, which involves dangling DS upside down by his calves Hmm He didnt seem to like it much!

Had a bad day with DS yesterday esp in the afternoon, I have him on my bupa and seeing a gastro paediatrician on Monday so hopefully will get him on something stronger than gaviscon.

HavePatience · 05/05/2011 19:50

Pistachio are you having your baby right now? Grin

Hmm that sounds really weird about the dangling from calves.. Have you seen that baby swinging YouTube video? So shocking!

Cf sounds like a fun camping trip and school trip :) I agree, trips are exhausting. It's the stress of the responsibility of it all, I think...

oh well, I tried Wink
Happy Birthday, Pistachio. Have a great time tomorrow!

myjob I'm glad your foot is feeling a little bit better. Your little N (on fb) is looking so grown up these days. All of our babies on this thread are so beautiful :)

CantSleepWontSleep · 06/05/2011 14:07

Happy birthday pistachio!

Honeymoonmummy · 07/05/2011 23:49

Hey all, not a bad day here today, yesterday was pretty horrendous, he didn't stop crying (except to feed) for most of the day. Took them both to my PG yoga class this morning so that was nice then visiting relatives. Got a busy day planned tmrw too then paediatrician on Monday.

I've had really dry skin, esp on my face but also elbows and hands since DS born, didn't have this with DD, anyone else have this and is it permanent??

Honeymoonmummy · 07/05/2011 23:51

Oh and I've been researching reusable nappies (thank you Myjob!) so am going to start getting some to try.
