Hello! It's me. I thought I'd start a thread which is VERY cheeky for someone who's not been around for AGES! Grin

Oh thank goodness. I was going to title it "oct 08 - the return of 50ft". Then thought that might be too much pressure on you.

Do you let your dc wee on the grass When out not near a toilet (hidden, out of pathways of course)?

Hello. Have I got news? I don't know really?! M is potty trained day and night now, has been for about a month I guess. She has the odd accident but is pretty reliable. She has stopped growing so has gone from the 95th percentile to the 10th percentile for height, but considering how short I am that's no surprise. DS is very good at rugby and still doing well at school. I have finally decided on my career change: mental health nurse & I am finally happy & comfortable with that decision. Ummm..... nothing else to report. DH is still smelly & the same.

CSWS - Quick question: Was it you who was mentioned selling reusable nappies recently? If so, did you come up with anywhere to sell them now you can't sell them on Ebay? I'm going to sell S's Itti Bittis as he's obsessed with what he thinks are big boy pants (but are actually pull-ups) and wont wear anything else. Thanks - am in the middle of a massive sorting frenzy.

It does indeed Pistachio! I am applying late to start this September but if the course is already over subscribed then April next year. I plan to finish my training and then do more training as soon as possible as I want to specialise in child and adolescent mental health. I think I was finally swayed in my decision due to Ronshar's memory of MHNs smoking and drinking coffee. Grin

CF - I am trying to sell M's nappies. The best place to do it is on Cloth Nappy Tree or Cloth Nappy Addicts. They are both free to sell on and you have a captive audience of nappy addicts.

How is everybody? I imagine that HMM is mostly tired, as Pistachio must be too!

How about Netmums nearly new local board, cf? I sold some on there a little while ago. Those boards get a lot of traffic in my area. Just an idea.

50ft how exciting!

I am still on holiday Grin and loving it! I'm worn out but it's a huge break from a class full of young children.
Dh is back today then has 4 day weekend from Friday.

I let Q wee on grass/dirt that is out of the way of where people might walk or sit. A mother saw the other day (usually I hide I better but there wasn't a place to hide where we were) and she gave me a Hmm look and I felt just horrible! So then I thought perhaps I had just committed a British social taboo.

Honeymoonmummy · 26/04/2011 22:26

Hi all, sorry too tired to post/ respond properly, have been up since 2am this morning give or take an hour or so. Been constantly feeding today, think we having the 6 wk growth spurt a week early (had 3 wk one a wk early) sooooooo tired, will post properly tmrw [waves to 50ft]

Honeymoonmummy · 26/04/2011 22:28

Oh started DS with dummy on Sat cos it stops him crying. Bloody godsend. Pops didn't have one nor did she suck thumb.

HavePatience · 27/04/2011 07:30

Q had a dummy HMM. It was a godsend. Especially once he learned to keep it in himself. He just loved to suck. If hungry he'd still cry then I'd feed him. We took them away at 12 months with absolutely no fuss or problems at all. He doesn't suck his thumb or anything now and speaks really well! :)

Hi all, quick question for CSWS/ Ronshar. Can you just remind me of dairy-free tips - am just doing my internet shop for tomorrow and can't remember all the dairy-free things from last time, esp snacks. Am going off to do a search too, cheers. Will check back later.

Registered birth today. Another awful night last night. I feel today like I'm on the verge of PND. Got 6 week check soon (altho not had appt yet) and if I still feel this way then will get the drugs.

Honeymoonmummy · 27/04/2011 17:46

Oh and do I need to go soya free too?

Urgh. sent DD to bed early after a truly epic temper tantrum involving her refusal to eat tea, then getting so cross she made herself sick, then a screaming fit insisting I gave her a dummy. GRRRRRRRRRRRRRRR.
I did give her her milk, sitting in her cot with a petulant, venomous face on her - muttering to herself "I NOT naughty"!
This too shall pass.......
Shall be back when i have calmed down.. at least I now only have double bathtime to do

Honeymoonmummy · 27/04/2011 19:38

Yes I was on sertraline last time Pistachio. Tried acupuncture first but it did nothing.

Have a dilemma re dairy free and medication. I've just been to pick up repeat prescription. I'm still constipated am currently on lactulose, movicol, senna tablets. If I go DF I will have to stop the lactulose. The doc prescribed 1 a day of the movicol but I was there for DSs appt so he didnt really know the background so just asked pharmacist if could increase movicol while BF. She checked book and said "only use movicol if essential while BF" - she said it's not the usual bog standard wording. So am wondering if movicol has agitated him. I think I'm going to give up the movicol and give it another week before going dairy free. If have to go dairy free as well god knows what I can take cos I dont think there's anything left I haven't tried!

I just remembered I couldn't have it last time - might have been because you can't take both, yes. Did you have PND both times before? I don't know if it's just because I'm exhausted but I felt so angry with Pops today and that's not like me at all. That's what happened last time.

Anyway, I've finished my shop, I'm off to bed/ dream feed. Hopefully will get a bit more sleep tonight. Dairy free starts tomorrow!! I've decided to stay on the movicol and give up the dairy/ lactulose.

CSWS/ Ronshar, can you have things containing lactic acid? It's not on the list I have of dairy-free no-no's.
