HippyHippopotamus · 27/01/2011 12:29

oh wow! that's amazing star!! so pleased for you all GrinSmile

HippyHippopotamus · 27/01/2011 12:30

so are you having twins or just the one? Wink

aStarWithHerOwnWays · 27/01/2011 12:45

Just the one. DH is much relieved. I am a tad disappointed, but only because it means my massive bump is due to cake Grin

CaptainCaveman · 27/01/2011 12:48

bbbb can dh walk or put any weight on his foot? The problem with feet bones is that can move out of alignment if not correctly supported when broken, so his martyr-ing will actually lead to longer term suffering (like hippy's dearest mil Grin) if it is broken. Ultimately, it could lead to non-union of a fracture which would require surgery and is not a quick fix. please force persuade him to get checked out!

Star such lovely news from your scan Grin. Both times i saw my boys at the 12 week scan I giggled and cried with happiness and relief Smile

hello all, studying again today, hence I'm on here Grin. Been manically busy at work so no time to mn...time to make amends!!

CaptainCaveman · 27/01/2011 13:02

I love my mum, and I love my dh, but Man, I wish they would feck off out when I'm here trying to work and they are gibbering like baboons about frickin car insurance - gaaaaahhhhh!

Merlion · 27/01/2011 13:34

Star great news. Hope it has put your mind at rest a little - what is your due date?

Yay it is Chinese New Year next week - a very short week at work if nothing else!

Silk tbh the dosage doesn't seem very high. DS was given lactulose and his dosage was higher than DDs (no laxatives though but he is a lot younger obviously). Basically the doctor said better to keep giving it and get it soft even if a little too soft until he got over the fear of going again (appreciate DS understanding is a little different). Doctor also explained that it isn't absorbed so could give quite a lot without any ill effects. I meant to post about this on your other thread but am feeling lazy!

CC headphones anywhere?

HippyHippopotamus · 27/01/2011 13:40

cc, not my mil, twas silk's mil with the dodgy foot
so where should i be getting my car insurance from? Grin

star cake is good for you Grin

luckoftheirish · 27/01/2011 15:08

merlion will done on good apprisal Smile

I have been a busy bee today Smile two walks with dd2 to garage as car had to have mot, dinner made for today and tom, lemon drizzle cake made, housework done and a massive load of washing washed, dried and put away Grin

blueberryboybaitonSafari · 27/01/2011 15:44

YAY for tiniestStar and wriggling :)

Silks can you not ask about a clearing does of Lactulose? There was a tread by Tre eedelivery earlier this week about constipation as her DD suffers chronically. Might be worth a peek.

Doc seen DH and is 'confident' there is no other major damage apart from the toes and some ligament strain. Not quite what I wanted but at least someone medical has looked at it. His concern with the op is that they state you are to not have any other illnesses/injuries currently being treated to have the op at the local hospital otherwise you have to go to the big hosp and the wait there is 10weeks!

DD1 made butt er at nurser y today I asked her to hold the packet in the car and she ate the whole lot - no bread or cracker involved!

SilkStalkings · 27/01/2011 16:02

Was told to start low and build up so she'll have 15ml of lactulose today.

I've been displacement baking to avoid addressing state of house - invented some lovely sweetcorn, cheese and leek pasties (that probably nobody else will eatAngry.) All 3 kids have been vile since school. Am really stuck in a rut, all I want to do at the moment is read fiction and knit. Am so ungrateful. But does it make me feel shitty enough to get out the hoover? Meh.

aStarWithHerOwnWays · 27/01/2011 16:03

EDD is 1st August, which is pretty much where I thought it would be from my dates.

bbbb how funny, DS loves eating butter as well Hmm He also likes trying to butter his own bread, which is rather sweet.

HippyHippopotamus · 27/01/2011 17:02

HippyHippopotamus · 27/01/2011 18:33

CaptainCaveman · 27/01/2011 18:36

Alternatively, your edd is a perfect day to have a baby Grin

silks lactulose gaven me really bad wind and gut rot - but that's just me, the side effects are different on everyone! Hope it works well for your dd.

hippy L V apparently Hmm but i'm more of an A viva girl myself Grin

RedLentil · 27/01/2011 18:47

CrispyTheCrisp · 27/01/2011 21:42

silks sorry to hear things are a bit . I think i would up the dose of meds until things start to move

hips enjoy your crafty eve in your clean house with cakes - sounds fab

Oh and DD1 has decided she wanted to learn to read tonight. Not sure what has triggered that but she was really keen (and really good) this evening Smile

BibiBelle · 27/01/2011 22:42

PMSL @ Taypsvegas Grin

DD's like butter but turn their noses up at margarine!

London meet in March then?

Hope you are ok bibi & the hormones level out asap. I never had PMT before as no periods on the pill i was on. I am now an evil witch once a month Blush

HippyHippopotamus · 28/01/2011 08:32

got it bibs and i've sent on to sis

crisp great re lon don meet but why particularly in march? i'm confused!
oh and welcome home, i've missed you even if dd2 hasn't!

HippyHippopotamus · 28/01/2011 08:33

oh ignore me! i've just clicked the link Blush

HippyHippopotamus · 28/01/2011 08:35

red we get that here as well! accompanied by 'NO! T do it!!" I've found the best course of action is to let him get on with it. Any attempt to help him results in "NO! T start again"

HippyHippopotamus · 28/01/2011 08:44

last night was good. only problem is that one of the girls really grates on me. she's very presumptuous (is that the right word?) eg when dh came in from his shed, she said "oh no, you're not allowed in here, only knitters can sit in here tonight" So i put her straight and told her that actually dh was a really good knitter and alot faster than me!
she takes one of her dcs to a gym class run by same people as T's but at a different site. and she basically accused me of lying when i told her what class he was going to. she very sternly told me that they had to be 3 yrs to do that particular class. i agreed but told her that the organiser asked if T wanted to join despite not being old enough. apparently that would never happen at her site Hmm
She's trying to copy an existing blanket of hers and i was putting forward how i thought it was made. but she ignored me until 'top dog' of our group (who is really lovely) said the same thing!
I won't go on but it was continuous. i think i'll just have to make sure that i don't ever sit near her but the problem is that she's so loud and she always takes over whatever conversation is happening in the room.
oh and she didn't thank me for the tea i made her (cardinal sin round here!)

blueberryboybaitonSafari · 28/01/2011 08:50

Morning :)

Hippy - we get it too. Any sentence started with 'Can I Help/do that/give you?' is greeted by a squeal and a 'NO, I can do it!' or an occasionally lie on the floor and tantrum for effect!

Bibi - are you about in April at all? We just have the easter holiday dares for school and due to some crappy wedding the finish school on the 1st April and instead of going back for 3 days before th BH weekend the school re not opening until the 3rd May!! DH is also away to Be lfast for alot of that time.

DDs have flu jabs this morning which should be fun!

SilkStalkings · 28/01/2011 09:09

Morning. If anyone can think of an exciting secret ingredient to go in the red lentil veggie shepherds pie I'm making, please PM me on FB so I can buy it while I'm out this am! Bear in mind the mash will have Jerusalem artichoke in it which is quite a strong smokey flavour.

Dosed up DD big time last night, STILL no poo. Am considering asking school if I can collect her at lunchtime on the basis that if she hasn't done one by then, it really will be dramatic and fairly traumatic for her.
