There must be a motivation party somewhere because my is AWOL too.

Silks hope this in the start of things getting going with DD [bgrin]

DD1 is being watching her first ever Disney Princess movie - Cin derella and she is not in the slightest interested in the princess but she wants to catch mice and dress them in clothes [bhmm] Should I be worried?

blueberryboybaitonSafari · 25/01/2011 16:10

Bibi - have you been watching Lorraine Pascal? I have just causght the first episode on iplayer.

BibiBelle · 25/01/2011 16:37

blueberryboybaitonSafari · 25/01/2011 16:44

She is a cheffy, bakey person on the telly atm. Just caught up with her on iplayer.

BibiBelle · 25/01/2011 16:55

aStarWithHerOwnWays · 25/01/2011 17:11

Silk did DD seem positive about seeing the doc and trying to tackle things?

Don't worry about the TMI, you know we love a bit of poo talk on here [guilty of above emoticon].

BibiBelle · 25/01/2011 17:18

ROFL

Star - forgot to tell you my Dad took news of my tat a lot better than expected. I was waiting on fireworks [bshock]

FjorgynAndHotWater · 25/01/2011 17:22

I hope the medicine has the desired effect silky and your DD starts to feel better.

star I'm sure you'll make new friends in no time, small children are such a help in this, especially when you have a scrummy new baby for everyone to coo over Smile I must admit I haven't made a single local friend in, erm, 17 years of living here BlushBlushBlush but that's cos I haven't joined in anything Blush but one term at the school gates and we're definitely making progress. Have a date for post-school cuppa next Tuesday Grin

Oh, have been up a ladder again today chopping some more tree down. DS was obviously paying close attention because he decided to climb the ladder propped up against the garage, on to the gaage roof ShockShock I nearly had a heart attack, but coaxed him back to the ladder with jelly babies and DH grabbed him. Ladders now lying on the ground...

FjorgynAndHotWater · 25/01/2011 17:23

Yay to you for nicer playgroup too bbbb Smile

BibiBelle · 25/01/2011 18:09

Oh my god hots, I need to go and lie down just reading that [bshock] thank goodness all ended well and Thor totally justified his title [meep]

blueberryboybaitonSafari · 25/01/2011 18:19

Feck Fjourngy - I would have had heart failure! You need a rather large wine tonight me thinks!

FjorgynAndHotWater · 25/01/2011 18:30

Sorry to scare you! Sometimes when my mum is here she's flinching every other minute at reckless stuff he does, but as the mother of the god of thunder you do tend to get a bit blase about it all, otherwise my hair would be completely white by now. I must stress though that the roof thing was exceptionally daredevil even for Thor and at least he's proved the roof is sound Grin

alittlebitshy · 25/01/2011 18:56

fjorgun Shock at Thor!! I don't think my ds would do that cos he is scared of heights Grin.

silk yay for dr.

star moving WILL be fine. you will meet people, honest. We moved here a month before dd was born and apart from church Hmm am not sure i would have met local folk had it not been for dd (and now ds) and he activities and things. I have made some really good friends, and feel really at home here almost 8 years on (wow how did we lose 8 years there, wow).

On that note fjorgyn again - well done on playgroup! I would not survive without such things - we have one on a tuesday (at our church) one one wednesday (another church about a mile away) and NCT coffee mornings on a Thurs. Over the years there have been other bits and bobs but those are the 3 that have stuck.

BibiBelle · 25/01/2011 19:58

could someone please remind me why I fucking bother to phone my father?!?!?!?!?!?!? AARRGGHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH

I vote that we all have a strong, large drink tonight and in the absence of sgt cripsy a vat of chocolate and bucket of ice cream

feck knows I think Hots and I need it [bgrin]

HippyHippopotamus · 25/01/2011 20:23

deep breaths bibi... want to talk about it?

hi all, only one hand atm, hope to have two in operation soon!

HippyHippopotamus · 25/01/2011 20:26

bloody hell fjorgyny!!!

CrispyTheCrisp · 25/01/2011 20:38

Ah, the victorious Thor. Did he take a flag up with him and stake it on the roof to claim his territory? Grin. Very glad he (and you are ok though) - when we moved here the previous owners had a ladder up and their little boy (who must have been about 2 at the time was up about 6 rungs in a flash). I guess he just used the bunk beds as a training ground Grin

star we knew no-one here when we moved and as i worked away for the first 2 years i never met anyone other than neighbours. When i got pg we went to the NCT (i keep in regular contact with 2 girls), met 2 people in hospital who i still see (one now a very good friend), went to toddler group with DD1 when she was 6 weeks old HmmBlush and still see this group, met one other lady at swimming and a MN who lives very close and we have a great laugh going to the pub. Honestly get out there and friends will come flocking i'm sure Smile. Just watch those ones who come and sniff new baby Wink
Glad you had nice playgroup experiences fjorn and bbbb

at the demise of the Trust. Never saw that coming Hmm

Sorry to hear your dad is winding you up bibi. When Dad claimed over Xmas that mum was 'trying to put him in hospital to get rid of him' i did have to stick my fingers in my ears and go

Glad the docs went ok Silks and i apologise for not getting those book suggestions for you. I will speak to them at the weekend Smile

. Just what you need to accompany viewing Gypsy weddings Grin

SilkStalkings · 25/01/2011 20:41

Anyone with laxative experience, your help would be much appreciated here
Thanks xxx

blueberryboybaitonSafari · 25/01/2011 20:54

Done Silky.

HippyHippopotamus · 25/01/2011 20:57

star.. i'd be wary of any of the local hairy truckers if i were you Wink

HippyHippopotamus · 25/01/2011 20:57

silks..on my way

SilkStalkings · 25/01/2011 21:30

Star If you go along to an NCT branch meeting, you'll make loads of new friends really quickly and it might help keep your brain occupied from anxious thoughts a bit. Occasionally. Which is better than never, huh?Grin Plus if they do a Refresher course there, it's totally worth the money, I found mine so helpful when I had my unexpected labour.
Can anyone tell I am missing the NCT?Blush

BibiBelle · 25/01/2011 23:20

Ah feck sake. Someone I went specifically to see at the trade fair and who an order was discussed with has emailed me a reply saying they've taken an order from someone else in C. Toss. all 'accidentally' of course [bhmm] There isn't anywhere else in C that does handmade stuff so feck knows where

OP posts:
CrispyTheCrisp · 26/01/2011 07:17

Arse bibi, mind you if they are that sneaky/lying then you don't want to do business with them anyway.

I am at b'ham air port. I could just pop myself on the d'dee flight rather than j ersey Grin. I'd be with you by 10 if that's ok? Grin

Morning all . been up since 5.30. Actually had to use the alarm Shock
