Some Trump supporters already feeling voter's remorse

I wonder why, what particular thing made them change their minds, at this late date, after just a week.

Of course, it confirms my opinion of the stupidity of Trumpers, that they're so ignorant that they imagine you can change your vote after the fact.

Nope.

Note the date inside the red circle I’ve put on. It’s been falling for days.

This is the NYSE tracker. That’s the New York stock exchange. Nasdaq is tech sector.
You can see the boost from the vote then you can see the profit taking. There are other fears too right now and they are not related to trump. Let’s see what the next set of earning being, again not related to Trump. My guess is the NYSE will be up significantly in 6 months if Ukraine has peace.

So a clear downward trajectory, as I said, and not the positive reaction you claimed, thank you for proving my point.

Peace in Ukraine, we will just have to see how that “peace” plays out…

And peace in the ME, particularly Iran?

Peace, internally, within the US?

Markets react to instability or lack of it, personally I can see there being a whole load of instability coming, but maybe I’m wrong.

IdylicDay · 17/11/2024 20:16

I think you're fantasising. Which in a way is understandable. I hate Trump but he hasn't even been sworn in yet, so how would people who voted for him regret it when Biden is still the President? Ignore the bot result bs links. They're not real life. I think we all learned that when we were told Harris would be elected easily.

Has anyone considered it might be Democrat voters making these searches?

There is no rational reason why a democrat would choose to change their vote to an already landslide republican winner. Hth.

Ha ha ha?

I have no idea what you’re talking about.

Landslide victory looks like this. Do keep up. Why would a dem seek to add to an already overwhelming victory Confused

Edit to add; of course, those searches have been entered by republicans that have only just realised just how hard they’re going to get shafted by an incoming trump administration.

You’ve gotta be kidding. Your second sentence namecalls Trump supporters as stupid and ignorant then you go on to say people shouldn’t use slurs?! Are you for real?

the fact you’re using Google search examples to back up your argument shows how stupid your post is. Most people have grasped by now that Google is biased, has suppressed information and results.

Talkinpeace · 17/11/2024 21:58

@Lonelycrab
Trump got less than half of all the votes cast (just)
He got a LOT less than Biden (even with growth in electorate)

Harris failed which allowed Trump to Win : its that way around

Lisanoonan · 17/11/2024 22:00

I was thinking have they forgotten what happened before.

I remember when trump got in last time, lot of people in the USA were delighted. As he is the rebel vote. If you vote for trump you are sticking two fingers up at everyone. But then I remember after four years, they were all fed up of him!

It'll be the same again this time

Lonelycrab · 17/11/2024 22:00

Trump got less than half of all the votes cast

Are you sure about that

Do you think because some of them didn't get a college degree for example that they shouldn't be allowed to vote? What about all the many Trump voters who are much much much better educated than you but still voted the same way as the "less educated".

Do you think that you are somehow better than them as you put an X in one box rather than the other? It looks like you do think that. Remember there's no actual Judge overseeing all votes and judging one voter to be better and cleverer than the other. That's just in your mind.

To be fair, you wouldn't exactly put it on your CV that you'd voted for a rapist to have one of the most powerful jobs in the world. It's nothing to be proud of. Is it?

PastaAndChill · 17/11/2024 22:18

But I had the same thought as a previous poster. How do you know the searches were by Trump voters? They could just as easily have been other voters.

Lonelycrab · 17/11/2024 22:20

So Trump 76.4 million votes
Harris 73.7 million votes

Isn’t a landslide? Isn’t the popular vote?

What happened re the previous elections is a moot point. To deny that Trump won overwhelmingly is untrue and to imagine that dem voters would somehow wish to change their vote to add to that victory is nonsense.

Lisanoonan · 17/11/2024 22:20

Trumps some fool. And he has turned from orange to red.

At least his hair is marginally better this time

MrsPeregrine · 17/11/2024 22:22

Biden has just given the green light to fire long range American missiles into Russia for the first time. A dangerous and spiteful move. The sooner the Dems are out, the better.

A Landslide means getting the majority of the popular vote.
Trump did not.

His majority is tiny
and he did NOT get most of the votes

Why would a non-Trump voter want to change their vote? Even if, post-election, you decided you preferred him, he's already won. So changing your vote, even if you could, would have zero effect on anything.

Well I'm assuming you decided not to vote for him then. And exercising your own vote is as much decision-making you get to do in an election. How anyone else decides to exercise their own vote is not your decision to make.

Well yes of course. Well spotted! But on the basis previous posters accused Trump voters of not being too bright, the odds are some Democrat voters are not the full shilling either....? Fairs fair.

Well, it’s all quite academic really isn’t it. Getting several million votes more is clearly a strong victory regardless of the opposition.

Starmer won a resounding victory over the Tories with less votes than Corbyn iirc, it doesn’t mean that his victory can’t be described as a landslide over Sunak- moot point as I said.

Landslide of seats is not the same as a landslide of votes.

Talkinpeace · 17/11/2024 22:42

@Lonelycrab
Starmer got more seats with less votes because the alternative was utterly shite.
It was a vote against rather than a vote for
and all Labour strategists are aware of such.

THe Democrats bollocksed up the election
hopefully they will wake up and smell the coffee before the mid terms

Exactly. Maximum damage before the departure...
