I wonder why, what particular thing made them change their minds, at this late date, after just a week.

Of course, it confirms my opinion of the stupidity of Trumpers, that they're so ignorant that they imagine you can change your vote after the fact.

People did. There were debates on TV, on the radio, in newspapers, down the pub, at work, on social media etc It went on for a long time and people were fed up with it.

If people chose not to listen or engage then that's their fault.

I don’t think the argument against Brexit was put forward clearly enough before the vote, but we are not going to agree on this are we? So we’re just going round in circles now.

You are sticking to your guns despite counter arguments. Sounds like Brexit to me.

At least I’m trying to identify ways in which the arguments against Brexit could have been strengthened (ie by clearer, more compelling communication). You appear to be saying that everything that could have been done was done, but I do not believe that to be true. Most people did not understand the arguments against Brexit until after the vote had happened. Lessons need to be learnt from this. Next time there is a huge public debate (eg against populism) more focus should be put on communicating clearly and effectively through every available platform.
