Dawn Butler racism just fine according to Labour

Well, didn’t take long for labour ministers to show their real beliefs did it. According to Dawn Butler, Kemi Badenoch is “a white supremacist in blackface” (with apologies to all for re-typing her massively offensive words). According to the lovely KS this is all just fine, nothing to see here, move along.

One rule for labour, one rule for everybody else. Again. Last time it was failure to declare gifts. This time it is blatant racism. How hideous this government is and what rank hypocrites.

Dawn Butler must have the whip withdrawn otherwise I don’t want to hear one more word from this racist government.

It's so revealing isn't it. I think people realise more and more that despite what the left think and say that they are, it is all fake. They are racist and they are the nasty party. Rachel Reeves will take a long time to live down "we can't afford to let farmers die tax-free" if she ever can. That's to an industry which has a high suicide rate anyway.

That party has no soul at the moment.

username7891 · 04/11/2024 09:11

Hideous. I can't work out who is worse, her or Boris Johnson.

twistyizzy · 04/11/2024 09:12

Careful @Babadookinthewardrobe you will be accused of being a Tory bot by the end of the first page!

Sarahconnor1 · 04/11/2024 09:15

It was pretty appalling, whatever your views on Kemis politics.

But, Dawn Butler has form for posting nonsense on twitter which she later deletes.

TheNuthatch · 04/11/2024 09:15

I think she re-tweeted it rather than wrote it herself (according to Sky News) but it's still disgusting behaviour.

Jas Athwal is also still a Labour MP despite being a slum landlord and having a failing children's home.

Icanthinkformyselfthanks · 04/11/2024 09:18

@Babadookinthewardrobe , it was not a comment befitting a member of His Majesty’s Government. Of course she should have the whip withdrawn but it won’t happen.
Perhaps we could write a book about them all, maybe set it in a farm, they could be the pigs at the trough.

Good lord. I hadn't heard about that comment from RR. How awful.

Dollybantree · 04/11/2024 09:24

Wowsers! That’s abhorrent. One rule for them and another for everyone else.

As I often say on these threads though it’s hardly surprising when their deputy leader calls tories “scum” and it’s deemed perfectly fine!

It’s so sad that only now people are realising they’ve voted for the sneakiest, slyest hypocrites of the lot having been sold a pack of lies. Labour are even worse than the others bc they have a thinly veiled veneer of superiority and sneer at anyone whos’s views don’t tally with their own. And they’ll never admit to fuckups as they’re obviously beyond reproach!

Babadookinthewardrobe · 04/11/2024 09:24

They are certainly doing a splendid job of re-enacting Animal Farm

What an awful comment. She should be sacked immediately.

AnotherHotDrink · 04/11/2024 09:29

Dawn seems to think she is a celebrity, and the leading actor, she also often gets the script wrong. Her Director has just walked on stage he has whispered in her ear, smile and wave and guided her off stage.

JRSKSSBH · 04/11/2024 09:33

The thing is, if the Conservative Party had chosen Jenrick then she would have been howling about them being racist.

GCAcademic · 04/11/2024 09:33

I just knew a Labour MP was going to come up with something like this. As a brown woman, the most unpleasant forms of racism I've experienced (bearing in mind that I grew up in the 70s and 80s when there was overt racism) has been from left wing people at the university I work at. They can't stand it when a woman of colour doesn't stay and think in the place that the Left has carved out for them. I'm not even remotely right wing either, just left of centre and don't subscribe to critical race theory (or any other kind of reductive, blunt theory that lacks the ability to deal with issues in a nuanced way).

Oh her by a country mile. She's steeped in racism.

Really? I would have thought Johnson's racism was hard to beat. Apart from sharing that Tweet, what other racist things has she said? I'm curious.

Are you trying to run the old lefty whatabouterry tactic? We see through you all now. The fog is starting to lift.

Labour aren't good people.

Maddy70 · 04/11/2024 09:45

Tbf re the RR comment, inheritance tax is on death. Why should farmers not pay when every other eligible person does when they die. I take no issue with that (im also from a farming family) if its going into our dire public services then I'm all for paying taxes correctly

The dawn butler one..be careful not to get drawn into daily mail soundbites. The comment was awful and shouldnt be said. However she didn't say it . If she had said it I would expect the party to act It was someone else's tweet which she liked

The point of 100% APR/BPR is to stop part of a farm having to be sold each generation to pay death duty. 85% of family farms will fall into the IHT trap. I assume you don't own and run a farm yourself being so relaxed about it.

Cold.

According to Sky News, she shared the tweet, she didn't just like it.

Not quite, she retweeted it, therefore amplifying the message.

I’m not here to satisfy your curiosity and I suggest we deal with the current rank racist comment from the fragrant Dawn before we look up other racist things she might have said. Although feel free to google if you wish.

I am not a Labour voter or supporter and find those words deeply offensive. However, she did not write them. She retweeted them.

Being asked for evidence is 'whataboutery' - you are great fun.
