Dawn Butler racism just fine according to Labour

Well, didn’t take long for labour ministers to show their real beliefs did it. According to Dawn Butler, Kemi Badenoch is “a white supremacist in blackface” (with apologies to all for re-typing her massively offensive words). According to the lovely KS this is all just fine, nothing to see here, move along.

One rule for labour, one rule for everybody else. Again. Last time it was failure to declare gifts. This time it is blatant racism. How hideous this government is and what rank hypocrites.

Dawn Butler must have the whip withdrawn otherwise I don’t want to hear one more word from this racist government.

Which people? Leftists who can't justify Dawn's comments so want to deflect attention on someone who left office years ago?
Or people who agree with Dawn's comments secretly?

The bloke who hasn't been PM for 2 years and hasn't even been an MP for a year?

Have you written to your MP or taken any action other than raging on here about the comment? You sound frantic about it and some positive action might be more helpful than repeating yourself on MN.

If this thread is only about Butler, why are you talking about the Labour party being racist? Why are you talking about Labour leaders?

If you're going to talk about racism in political parties, expect to be challenged if you're a Tory. Am still waiting for your list of progressive Tory policies btw.

I’m happy to bring the debate to MN for now thanks @Queensguide - I’m still waiting to see if KS will show any leadership on the matter or whether he will continue to condone her remarks by his silence. If he continues to turn a blind eye to the bigotry of his own MP then I might raise it with my MP, we’ll see.

If you take it to your MP you might be part of the solution.

Why do you need the list of Tory progressive policies? Labour are in power now. It's clearly harder than they thought, as they are being held to account for some very questionable activities now. And their words matter more. Every day there's a new disaster!

Id think most people would agree it is and she should be sacked. Rightly people expect our PM to deal with the matter accordingly.

Dawn Butler really isn't the sharpest tool in the box. She went on live TV and said babies are born without a sex. I have no idea if she is a good MP or not, to be fair.

Doubt it if your MP happens to be a Labour one. Keir's in charge of them and he hasn't sacked Dawn yet.

Because according to some, the Tories are the most progressive party because of their leadership. The Tories therefore will have had progressive policies. They were in power for 14 years, and I didn't see any evidence them. However,I'm sure you have a list, given their progressive credentials.

Many Labour MPs have condemned Dawn's tweet....so you might get a better response than you hope.

Oh, so we should we be saying the Labour party are racist against Hindus and are anti-semites because of Jeremy Corbyns past comments?
