I’ve seen these threads on here before and now I’m interested in hearing the replies for my own child.

I drew the aeroplane, my child did the rest - colouring in, extra squiggles on top, selecting the colours and where to put them. It’s felt tip.

How old so you think this child might have been?

Once we get a few replies I will come back and share the reasons I’m asking.

I would guess 5, but really impossible to tell. They aren’t reliably inside the lines, but it’s not a toddler scrawl.

DalstonsRhubarb · 21/07/2025 21:22

If the answer isn’t 1 or 15 I’m going to be very disappointed.

Easy, my guess is around 3 months old.

I know this because my 6 month old can colour and stay within the lines. (He coloured like this around 3 months old though) He drew me a fabulous picture tonight whilst he was preparing our steak for tea.

5?

They all develop so differently so could be anything from 4 to 8.

Rycbar · 21/07/2025 21:28

It could be any age… I teach reception and some of my class would colour like this but some of them are a lot neater.

gmgnts · 21/07/2025 21:29

about 4

The op’s going to tell us in a minute!

No they won’t. They’ll keep it going for fucking hours.

Anyway, 3 and a half.

JIMER202 · 21/07/2025 21:30

4 or 5. My friends kids were coloring like this around 3.5 (girls) but my son still struggles to stay in the lines. He’s never had any interest in coloring so hasn’t honed his pencil skills the same way.

Fraggeek · 21/07/2025 21:31

Anyone else just hear for the reason??

Biscoffscoffer · 21/07/2025 21:31

It's going to be a loong summer on mnet 😅

I am a teacher. I have seen many three year olds colour like this. I have also taught seven year olds who would struggle to colour like this. All children have different strengths.

BarnacleBeasley · 21/07/2025 21:33

My DS couldn't hold a pen and refused to draw or colour much as he thought he couldn't do it until a couple of months before his 4th birthday. Then he suddenly got it and could colour as neatly as this straight away. So I think 4 would be average, but 3 is plausible. Or obviously older if not interested/behind with fine motor skills.

stayathomer · 21/07/2025 21:37

I agree with the people who say could be almost any age, different children colour differently

tigerlady14 · 21/07/2025 21:38

3 or 4 but it really depends and hard to judge based on just this

AddictAlice · 21/07/2025 21:41

When are we expecting the reveal?
