Morning all. <wafts duster about> It's sunny with high cloud here, I've no idea what the forecast is but it could go either way. I was woken earlier than usual by a squawking chicken, which I could have done without.

We’ve finished season 2 of The Capture. DH said it was very clever; he obviously understood it better than me, although I may have nodded off once or twice. I can’t be bothered to go back and watch the episode again.

It was dry all day but it’s tipping it down now.

Today started off at work with an email “I can’t see the thing I asked you to do and can you do the other thing too please”. They got an email straight back saying I’d done it two days ago (they obviously hadn’t looked at all) and had also done the other thing (because it’s sodding basic stuff and I don’t need telling to do it). There may have been swearing.

Ah well it’s Friday tomorrow. Think I’ll try for an early night.

FFS LetUs - and did they send a mortified apology? I bet they bloody didn't.

No rain here. Have had a nice midweek family meal involving lots of food and chat and catching up, and home again now. Ought to go to bed for an early night really.

Speaking of The Capture - I was on Instagram for work and my feed had lots of posts form Hayley Neubauer with The Caputre costumes, and also a '10-years since Musketeers' post. Time flies!

DDad can probably beat your bath 'n' thunder experience letus - he's never lived down heading off for a bath in the 70's and going against DM's advice to 'take a candle as there's rumours of a power cut'. Apparently he'd have heard at work if there was one planned. I think you can all guess what happened, but probably woulln't guess that to add insult to injury, while sat in the bath in total darkness a tile fell off the wall into the bath.

Am enjoying The Other Bennet Sister so far, as you say, much more relaxing than The Capture. Also relaxing is looking at the fine faf on the right of the OP.

Morning all. TFI, etc. It's raining lightly outside (obviously, not inside ) so everything's a bit gloomy. We have a weekend full of SportingActivity and SportingActivityCompetition. The latter potentially with a hangover since DS has a party to go to inbetween. Also, No prizes for guessing who is going to be here trying to sort out the house to make at least one room safe for kittens to not cause utter carnage. <le sigh>

Afternoon. I went out this morning to do some local jobs and the wind was really cold. It felt more like autumn than spring. It’s now raining.

My new driving licence has arrived; that’s a relief, although the old one didn’t expire for a couple of months. I don’t go far in my car, but I’d be lost without it.

Thought exactly the same thing Apricot, more autumn than spring. Licence seems to have arrived quickly, especially after all the renewal palaver.

Today is buy more yarn, which sort of defeats the objective of using up stuff I’ve got but that running out and I need more of a certain colour, trip into town, off to see DS1 and his girlfriend this afternoon 😊

Afternoon. More cloudy and showery weather. DH is karchering and isn’t happy but it was forecast.

I’m sewing up the summer jumper with a cat asleep on my lap which isn’t easy.

Evening all. I have had a gardening day - things have been planted out to make space in the greenhouse. That's about it. No kitten prep has been done, partly because I'm of the 'sod it, I'm not the one who actually wants them, why have I got to do all work work?' frame of mind.

The manshapes have been out doing sporting stuff, and DS is out at a party tonight. We were going to see something at the cinema while he was out, but the timing s didn't work, so we'll just be having two taxi runs instead. DH is talking about going out for a meal but I've eaten lots of chocolate since they went out I'm not that hungry, so we'll see.

I'm imagining Misty being accidentally sewn into a jumper now

Hope that LetUs has had a good day and Wicked is enjoying herself (cat cafe-ing with Fancy?)

Didn’t have an enormously successful morning shopping. Lovely to see DS1 and his girlfriend and the grandkits.

I’ve made a knitted bunny but its ears are definitely more bat like so I’m trying to remedy that, not very successfully.

I can confirm - drunk DS is utterly hilarious. Annoyingly, he's not got much of a hangover - I was hoping he'd have a decent headache to teach him a healthy respect for alcohol, but he does have a 'churny stomach'. And also he was up at 7:30 . This is all helpful for today anyway, since he has a SportingCompetition later on.

at drunk MiniHelen. I could tell you some stories about our two. Like the time DS threw up through his bedroom window and we discovered it weeks later down the side of the house. And the time when we were phoned by DD’s friend’s father who owned the nightclub she was at on New Year’s Eve to come and get her. We drove through town to the sound of the bells at midnight and found her draped round two bouncers who assisted her to fall into the back of the car. Fortunately we thought to take a bowl with us to catch the inevitable.

Visited Brick Lane today and there’s a lovely shop there with lot of cat stuff so I started chatting with the owner and showed him a photo of Fräsan, poor man I also bought a really cute mug.

I must look really reliable one person asked me for directions and another if knew the time. And later on at Highgate someone thought I was the tour guide

Quiet Sunday thankfully.

Bunny now looks more bunny like. Started a new blanket as it doesn’t require much concentration.

We’ve driven with DS1 with his head in a waste bin once we managed to get him down the stairs at our friends’ house. DS2 doesn’t drink. No particular reason as far as I know.

Have started a new jigsaw today which has a very current Wicked theme - it’s London showing the various areas and attractions 😊

Evening all. DS did well today - gold in the team event and silver for him - hurrah.

That sounds like a fun day Wicked - apart from the blood blister - ouch! I had a trip to the local garden centre and a thoroughly exciting supermarket shop (whoop!) Then did lots of gardening - planted out a big pot, and then bumped other plants up a pot size into the freed up ones.

Tired now, and am thinking about bath'n'book....

Has been a busy few days, Friday was hectic at work as I'd promised a client to get something out to them by the end of the week, the person working for me does not appear to have an eye for detail however. Looking on the bright side, it made me feel that my brain can't be slowing down that much if I can hold a conversation while rapidly punching numbers into my calculator 😬The evening ended up nice though as DD came over - we went to the chippy and had beer, classy.

Saturday we drove to hometown to meet DDad and Dsis's family at the football. Team obligingly won and then DD and I went back to DDad's for the night. Back home today, did a few jobs and now relaxing. Tomorrow is a mini-meet with ww and then quizzing with DC in the evening.

Morning all. Cloudy and cool today. DS refused to get started on homework yesterday and ended up staying up until goodness knows when to get it done. FFS, etc.

No plans today other than work (and seething in resentment at the apparent expectation that I'm going to be tidying the house ready for kittens). I also need to make a banana cake before the bananas liquidify in their skins
